This tour was awesome, it's a fun way to explore the city relatively quickly. Our tour was a 2.5 - 3 hour tour around the walled city and Getsemini. To book we used WhatsApp (the number can be found on the website). Bike hire costs 40000 pesos, however they are doing a discount at the moment to 30000 if you follow them on Facebook or Instagram. Hire includes the guide, bike and helmets. Jose was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable of the local area, spoke good english and cracked some good jokes on the way. You don't need to be a cyclist either to enjoy the tour as there were plenty of stops where the guide talked about the history, you can take pictures, or grab a quick beer. I cannot express how much we enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to everyone.

It's not really free of course, you pay rent for the bikes. Never the less I really really like the biking tour! Great atmosphere, great vibes, lovely views and a lot of smiles and jokes from Jose and the girl (sorry forgot her name)

We did the biking tour yesterday afternoon at 15:30. It's a good tour with plenty of information about Cartagena and its history, given by Jose who knows a lot about it. Very interesting to know more about ctg, we were quite surprised by the history of the city. We had a relative small group of 5 persons, though there were plenty of bikes for larger groups. The bikes are in good condition and the tour is very safe and easy, anyone can do this. We recommend this tour since it's only 2 hours and you learn and see a lot of the old city.

This is hands down THE BEST TOUR in Cartagena. It is a must on your things to do. Communication in order to book was extremely fast and efficient. Jose was at the meeting point on time. My friend and I had an amazing time. We biked and saw places we would of never seen by just walking or going on random tours. Jose is very knowledgeable and a historian. He took the take to explain everything and answer every question. This tour is a win win all the way, you get to see most of CTG’s important sites and you also get to exercise. Will definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

We’ve had a fantastic tour with Free Biking Tour Cartagena. We were with 17. Explanation and guidance from David and William was great, bikes were standing outside when we arrived. Tour was clear, super friendly. I’ve done a lot of bike tours, a great way to see a city, and this one is in the top 3! The Bike & Bite food tour, offered by Free Biking Tour Cartagena, was excellent. I should have known that this tour company/operator was unique. Merit, upon my initial inquiry, responded back immediately and answered all questions clearly. The price, which I thought was low for what was being offered, made me think twice about taking the tour. To me, the quality of the equipment, the quality of the guides (Jose) and assistants (William) who kept us on track and safe, and the amount of stops/food provided, was worth much more than their listed price. I have been on 3 different food tours in some fantastic cities (Rome, Malaga, London) and by far this was the best. Being on the bikes made seeing the city of Cartagena easy and enjoyable (not strenuous at all). Having the guides made it interesting. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone going to Cartagena. The value/equipment/staff are second to none. We arranged this tour through Trip Advisor when traveling to Cartagena from a cruise. It was well organized, easy to get to, and well within the time we were allotted for this stop. Simply taking a taxi to get to the starting location and returning via taxi was easy - only a 15 minute ride each direction.

Enthusiastic guide, willing and able to share a lot of history with us so the tour was decent. Would be nice to go further considering we've bikes but I understand this isn't always possible. E.g. to San felipe's castle would've been a good destination. We did go to another nice viewing point and left our bikes whilst another guide watched them. The city itself is not very bike friendly so not the most leisurely bike ride as you find yourself dodging walkers and cars but our guide gave good tips and help make sure we were prepared. Although called a "free bike tour," you pay 50,000 COP for the bike which is a fair price, but the bikes aren't well maintained. You can't adjust the size on many, mine was missing a bell and a wire poking out that kept scratching me. That's why I'm scoring a 3 for the bikes mainly and route but the guide was great. For example in Bogota there's a "free bike tour" and you don't pay anything for the bikes, just a tip so I don't want to hear that the money's needed for maintenance if they're not maintained!

My wife and I just completed this tour and we can't stop talking about how this tour was so incredible. You meet your guides Mira and Jose and are immediately welcomed with bikes, helmets, water, and how to navigate the city with the guides. The guides used helpers to control cars and we felt always very safe. We tried about 10 different local foods and drinks and enjoyed learning about the city and customs. At every stop we learned something new, tried new flavors, and we always had great conversations. At the end, we enjoyed a celebratory cervezas and a take away empanada. If you visit Carategna and want to enjoy the best tour, Bike and Bite is the best option. Both guides speak English and Spanish as well.

José is a great guy. We had a fantastic time. Must do.

This bike tour was FANTASTIC! Jose was really, REALLY knowledgable about all kinds of interesting facts - not just the basic history but lots of really interesting details about the architecture, the culture, and the people. The ride itself is suitable for any level of rider, just be aware that you are riding in and amongst the traffic. It's a great way to cover a lot of the tourist geography and I would HIGHLY recommend this tour.
