Docked at Cruise Port #3 in Cartegena, Columbia on Vision of the Seas. Excursion buses loaded and unloaded next to the gangway - very convenient! VoS had gangway transportation to the free port aviary and oasis shop, which was less than a mile walk from the ship. This is a free activity for anyone at the cruise port. There is a lot to see at the free aviary with plenty of seating in the shade. You need to walk through the aviary to catch a taxis or public transportation. While in the aviary, some guests got to hold a baby sloth, while others sat in the shade enjoying fresh Columbian coffee. I did get bitten by some insects, so insect repellent is recommended.

Their currency is like art, definetly a keepsake!

The best cruise port we have ever been to. The nature preserve as you come back to the ship is full of colorful birds all around you as well as monkeys, flamingos and peacocks !!

Nice cruise port/terminal. A few shops including an aviary with some animals. They have a few monkeys, pink flamingos, peacocks, an ant eater and many other birds. If you leave on an excursion, when you return they drop you off at the aviary and you get to see some of the animals on your journey back to your ship. You can get fairly close to many of these animals.

There is a Park Cartagena called the Oasis at the end of the dock. Entry is free and they have monkeys running wild as well as birds in aviaries. There is also an exhibition hall with information about emeralds as well as examples of the raw materials.

The cruise terminal for Royal Caribbean is a freight port. It smells and it is not near Old Cartagena, Columbia. We were not able to walk very far, we were told it was not safe. We found a tour company that took us to Old Cartagena. They stopped at stores instead of sights. We will not do that again. We may just take an excursion from the ship. Traffic was the worst! Bumper to bumper each way. We did get to see the old church for a few minutes. They close the doors at noon.

One of the best departure cruise terminals I've seen with its open air bird park and cafe.

MSC Divina docked here...Its a Loooong walk from the ship to the excursion busses and cab stands. Expect to pay $20usd for a taxi ride to the old city. Ignore the many hawkers and hustlers trying to sell "excursions" or hail you a taxi for $30usd. Only one souvenir shop at the port, so go into old town for your shopping. Nice little "eco" park with parrots, rabbits, monkeys and peacocks roaming the grounds before exiting the port area.

The port is a gorgeous free range zoo with monkeys and birds roaming about. The surroundings are another story – the roads of Cartegena bare a remarkable resemblance to worn torn areas in the Middle East. The poverty is quite saddening…. If you do leave the port, you will likely venture to the old walled city which has nice architecture and less evidence of the desperation beyond it’s walls; however, you will be unable to step more than a few feet without being solicited…. I highly recommend the port and could have spent all day in it’s lovely gift shop, but I cannot recommend leaving the port.

Cruise Terminal is amazing with many things to do. Only bad side is the taxi service with outrageous fees. An uber to old Cartagena is $3 and terminal taxi company charges $5 per passenger and service is substandard.

Once you get to the cruise port main building and gift shop it's nice, but it could be a very long walk from your ship. Be careful walking around town if you decide to go into city. Very dicey in some areas.

There's actually a bit to see at this terminal. Many cruise ports are the same old touristy places, but this one is different. I love the cool birds roaming freely around, mingling with the pedestrians.

Nice little zoo to walk through on the way in and out of the terminal with peacocks, flamingos, iguanas, sloths, and more. It's not a very long walk (given the sizes of the cruise ships), but it is warm here, so make sure to drink lots of water.

Fun port with lots and lots of parrots, flamingos, monkeys, peacocks that are free ranged. There is a nice coffee area & a shop to buy souvenirs. You can get your passport stamped at the store for USD 1. Watch the parrots cos they pooped on my hand & said hello. They also pooped on my friend’s shirt.

Because of illness we could only enjoy the wonderful and impressive sky line of Cartagena. The panorama view changes dramatically with daylight time and clouds.

(Translated by Google) Very well located cruise port. You can walk to the stands for taxis, buses and many tour operators. Nearby there is also a beautifully landscaped park with all kinds of greenery and also parrots and other animals. There are also restaurants and the possibility to visit a toilet. So if you don't want to go to the city, which would be a big loss‼️, you can also keep yourself busy here. (Original) Sehr gut gelegener Kreuzfahrthafen.
