I highly recommend a trip to Amarre Beach Club. They have an excellent location, amazing food, and are really mindful of the impact they have on the local community and environment. Location: When visiting Cartagena it can be difficult to find a beautiful, quiet beach to relax and enjoy and ocean. Amarre is on a perfect part of the atierre Bomba island because there is a long stretch of beach and the water is clear and blue and pretty calm. You won’t get harassed by vendors like you would at Playa Blanka. Food & Drink: mouth watering! We got the chicharrón platter abs shrimp platter. Both were phenomenal! They are super filling and every bite is just absolutely delicious. They have some fun and creative cocktails as well. Our favorite was a berry-infused gin that they infused themselves with a local Cartagena gin. Community & Environmental Impact: They seem to hire only local workers from Cartagena and do their best to retain them by giving them opportunities to grow and learn within the beach club. Everything they do at the beach club seems to be with the environmental impact in mind. They started a glass recycling program that they use to create concrete to build with on the island. They also have a water recycling system as well. Horseback riding: the ride was great and tailored to everyone’s riding experience. Those with more experience were allowed to canter ahead of the group and those with less experience were allowed to stay behind to walk at a leisurely pace. Ramiro, our tour guide, was very kind and friendly and quick to accommodate our requests. The highlight was being able to swim with the horses after our trail ride! What a beautiful treat! I’m really impressed with the quality of service and our general experience at Amarre. I absolutely plan to return to enjoy the beach, atmosphere, food, and horses on our next trip to Cartagena!

Loved the whole experience and highly recommend it! Excellent food and drinks. Pablo the owner was exceptionally friendly. All staff provided faultless service. When it rained, the staff kindly setup a table and chairs under a cabana for us so we could stay dry. We felt the club was secure enough to leave our belongings unattended while swimming. It was a relief to escape the vendors of Cartagena. The prices were very clear from the beginning, so there were no surprises. The beach area in front of the club was clean and the water was very pleasant for swimming. The music was great, and the sound system really nice, but for me personally, it was too loud. There was more of a party vibe than a chill out vibe, but it is a ‘club’ after all. It was too loud to read a book or have a nap, if that was what you wanted. Thanks Pablo and team!

Nicest beach on Tierra Bomba Island 10 minutes from Cartagena. Affordable, sustainable, laid back and friendly to locals and tourists alike, super close to Cartagena but far enough from all the other over crowded places. This is honestly the perfect place to enjoy a day at the beach with friends. They truly care about giving back to the community and the environment, and that’s one of the many reasons Amare is now my favorite place, more places should follow their initiative!

Affordable, good quality. Great food (menu was designed by the chef from Blue Apple). Unlimited cocktail glass for 100,000 pesos ($28) is a winner. Fantastic music by a DJ from Palenque. Super laid back place, not a fancy beach club but a proper Caribbean beach shack.

Absolutely amazing experience here. The service is impeccable and the cocktails are fantastic 😁 Pack a waterproof bag for the journey back if you have anything you don't want to get wet. The boat ride was exhilarating because the sea can be rough but definitely fun!!! Highly recommended

Great place, glad we found it. Drinks are great and the food is great. A lot of great places to take pictures. 2 things to know: 1. The transportation fee u will pay when u get there but counts towards your package 2. The return is at 4pm, if u want to leave sooner set it up for an extra fee Like I said this place is awesome

It was refreshing to be on a beach in Cartagena without 10000 vendors trying tp scam you. The place felt very safe, excellent service and awesome Prosecco (I could not stop buying Prosecco from them lol) My only two suggestions would be to have better food, maybe a whole fried fish, or a steak. Also the boat was speeding on the way back from the club, so the ride was very bumpy, not the way I wanted to finish this awesome experience at Amare

Ummm I’ve been to Cartagena 3 times now. New favorite beach club. Hidden gem. The atmosphere. The setting. The food. I will definitely come back. The staff was so accommodating. When I went it wasn’t busy. They played music I wanted. Set the vibe for us. The cost includes trip to and from beach, credit towards your meal or drinks. Check it out. You’re welcome!

Situated on a small beach, with only a handful of vendors, this makes for a much more relaxing visit than going to Playa Arena. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food we chose was one of the better meals we had in 2 weeks in the Cartegena area.

A must in Cartagena, specially when you want a relaxed day. The service can not be better, Jeison, Miguel and Pablo make the ambient sooo cool that even when the sun is hiding you won't miss him. The food is high quality as well as the cockteils. Lamb flatbread just excellent!! Price are soo fair, now almost impossible in Ctg. Im willing to experience the new events they are planning

Pleasant atmosphere, good food and service, nice music, a 25 meter one-lane swimming pool and reasonable pricing. The only two negatives: - on weekdays music is supposed to be background music, but it was still very loud. You need to raise your voice to speak to a person next to you. - while we arrived with two boats of ten persons each, we went back with twenty people on one boat, which was way too much and irresponsible especially considering the relatively rough sea. Good to know: - You can make an online booking with the link they send you through WhatsApp. We could choose between a departure from Cartagena at 9.30 or 10.30 hrs. You need to be at the departure point 10 minutes before departure. It is indicated as "Salida a Amare Beach" on Google Maps. Note that it will (currently) take you about 20-25 minutes by taxi from Getsemeni in the morning, because one of the access roads to Boca Grande is closed, resulting in a lot of traffic jams. - The boat from Amare back to Cartagena leaves around 16.00hrs. - The website mentions a day pass for 165.000COP. In practise, you pay 20.000 to the boatmen and 145.000 to Amare Beach, which includes 115.00 credit for food and beverage. So bottom line, access is "only" 30.000 per person (very reasonable) and the remainder of 115.000 is a minimum for F&B consumption (which is more than enough for food and a couple of drinks). - The beach was much smaller than on the picture. Waves reach until the gate of the club. We did not mind as there is still enough beach inside the club.

AMAZING experience! Visited this place with friends a couple of weeks ago and couldn't have had a better time. The vibe they're going for (relaxed, unpretentious beach) was perfect and the service of Pablo, Alfredo, and the rest of the staff was just as incredible. I had to leave separately from the rest of my group to make it to the airport on time and the staff worked to arrange a special shuttle back to the mainland just for me to accommodate. Can't wait to visit again and I couldn't recommend more!

We had an absolutely lovely day at Amare and Pablo (the owner) was an amazing host. The pool and facilities were all super and the food very good (organic/locally sourced). Peaceful atmosphere and great to get away from it all. When our separately pre-arranged transport didn’t show up, Pablo took us along on the boatride back which was a great experience - make sure to book transport directly with Amare/ Pablo as it will be chaper and more reliable! We would highly recommend going there as it is a really cool club which also cares about sustainability!

Good and personal service, great food and friendly people. The Beach Club is not the fanciest one on the Island, but it felt very genuine and welcoming. The only thing we found less comfortable was the fact that the music was pretty loud. But overall a good experience!

We had a private day party at Amare Beach Club on the day before our wedding. It was one of the most memorable and amazing experiences we’ve had in our lifetimes. The staff there was phenomenally accommodating in the planning process. We organized transport with them via our wedding planner and the owner of Amare met our group at the beach to take us on our quick boat ride over. Once we arrived the staff greeted us and our guests with drinks on the beach and the club was super. It was tremendously well designed, clean and very very comfortable. We had guests of all ages and they all felt safe, joyous and comfortable. The drinks were impeccably made and most importantly the food was phenomenal. The music was great and well played. They have a pool which our guests enjoyed as well as serene beach access. I swam in both the pool and the ocean and loved every minute of it. People came to thank us throughout the event for hosting it at Amare and to be honest all credit goes to Pablo and his amazing staff. We would HIGHLY recommend a visit and definitely a private beach day at Amare if you happen to be hosting a trip to Cartagena for a wedding or other life event. It’s an A+, 12/10, 110% phenomenal place 😃

Amazing place and service. A great break from busy Cartagena. Beautiful beach with 0 sellers or harassment and beautiful turquoise water. The entire process for the beach club was easy, they picked up up by boat and dropped us back when we wanted, and it was a very reasonable and affordable deal. The service was amazing and really fantastic and creative food. The staff were very kind and the owner was lovely and really cared about the experience he's trying to offer. Could not recommend this place enough.

We had an amazing day here! The beach is really nice and not too crowded. The food and drinks were very affordable and tasted great. They had great music all day and it was a cool group of people. We met Pablo one of the owners. Super nice dude! Very attentive to all his guests. Don’t look anywhere else go here!!

The day spent at Amare beach club was my favorite day in Cartagena! We were wanting to get out of the city to relax at a quiet beach. The beach is fairly private and nice. The club itself is beautiful and kept very clean. The music was amazing and so was the food. We had shrimp bowls that were delicious! The owner Pablo is very friendly and attentive to his guests. He made sure we had everything we need and made us feel so welcome. This beach club is sustainable, employs locals only, and gives back to the community. I love this place and would definitely return!

This place so beautiful and amazing. The service was top notch from Pablo, Maria ❤️, Erick (he came and got us from the meeting spot on the beach), and another man (I'm so sorry I forgot his name). I was traveling solo but they made me feel so welcomed. The food and drinks were so good. The Dj for the day, Omi made the vibe so relaxing. I HIGHLY recommend Amare BC if you want to have fun, feel safe, and not have to worry about anyone trying to sell you anything. I was able to leave my bag and go swimming in the ocean and take a walk. They also have a cool, relaxing pool. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will be telling everyone about this place and I'll be back.

My favorite place, incredible beach vibe. Easy going, affordable but great food, music and the beach is really nice compared to other places I’ve been to in Tierra Bomba. I also liked that they really care about being sustainable and help the local community.

I have enjoyed so much the experience of this place, that I asked them where can I leave a review about Amare. Pablo and Jeison are excellent hosts, they would manage how to make you feel at home. All the place was very clean, I found the music very nice making a good environment for relax. The water on this beach is very calmed, and quiet. The food is amazing! I recommend the bbq'd shrimps.

😠 I’m disappointed in the service we have been having at crepes and waffles. Extremely slow, rude waitresses, they do not give you attention- plus there was a green worm in our food. Did not take it off our bill

👍 If the servers were only helpful and friendly I would give this restaurant five stars. The servers seem to have an attitude and an air of snootiness. Not acceptable. The food is well presented but it does take a while to get it. My Poblano crepe was quite acceptable. The mushroom crepe was super yum...
