Not really a hostel but a budget b&b. The rooms are clean with A/C and there is a free breakfast, although it's nothing special. One thing I would have appreciated was the staff and their families keeping it down until 8am in the courtyard. We were up at 6:30 every morning!

We had a terrible stay. We were placed in a room on the first floor. This was a room with a bunk bed and a queen bed. We booked a double room, so I was puzzled about why there was a bunk bed in the room. The room was extremely small and incredibly dirty. No curtains were there to cover the windows looking out on the street and on the hallway of the hotel. The window looking out on the street was also extremely small and partly covered by the bunk bed so that wasn’t a great issue (?), but we had to hang the mouldy towels we got over the window looking out on the hallway to make sure the room was at least a little bit dark at night. The bathroom was mouldy as well. The sink was loose and seemed to be falling apart. There was no warm water and at one moment there wasn’t even water at all. The walls were so thin that we could hear the people at the reception downstairs talking to each other. And last but not least, the bed was crooked which meant I rolled out of the bed when I was lying on my side. When we complained about the room they said they could only give us another one the next day. When the next day we also found out that the breakfast wasn’t worthy of being called a breakfast, we decided to book something else instead. The worst of all though was for me the lie they told us. We had booked for 2 nights in a row and then 2 days later for another night (we had an 2 day excursion planned to Tayrona and Minca and would return after that). When we told them we would leave, we said that we understood that we still had to pay for the first 2 nights but that we would appreciate it if they would cancel our third night. They said they would cancel it right away, which we thought was reasonable and nice of them. Though unfortunately they didn’t follow through. We did not get a refund for the third night even though they might have been able to fill 2 nights and get new paying customers.

Slept in a 6 bed dorm (3 bunk beds) where there was not even the space for 6 backpacks on the floor - and no windows. And the dorm was dirty, too. Staff friendly. Common areas are open air - in case of rain you have almost no place to go.

Great hostel in one of the best areas in the old town. Nice restaurants and square within easy walking distance and you feel nice and safe at night. The hostel is split into 2 different buildings, one for dorm rooms and one for privates, but you can easily go between both for the social atmosphere. The reception don't speak any English but with the use of a translator and our Spanglish we got by fine! I would stay here again.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, but this one seemed pretty nice to me. The bathrooms were kept clean, and the dorms had AC 24/7 which was appreciated in the Cartagena heat. The area is great, it's about a 5 minute walk from the Old City and lots to do nearby. Breakfast is complimentary, though it's only toast and eggs (which were delicious). Staff was all friendly. My only complaint is that there's not a lot of lounging space. Just two tables outside and a few chairs next to the front desk. Overall, I would stay here again.

On booking they call themselves a ‘boutique hotel’. That is absolutely not the case; it is more like a party hostel with people hanging out next to your room at the pool/bar during the night. Also, there is rooftop bar next door with loud music which makes you feel you are part of the party. To top it all off, the owner woke is up early in the morning to check-out and formalize payment because he would not be at the hostel later that morning.

I was placed in a room with 6 beds, there was not enough space for all backpacks and you need a padlock if you want to keep your important things safe. You must make your breakfast. The reception service was good.

One year ago I made a reservation, they cancelled my reservation because they had a structure problem, never send an e-mail to tell me, I found out 14 days before I catch my flight from Brazil to Colombia. I had no where to stay, spend a lot of money to stay in another place on New Year’s Eve. And THEY STOLE THE MONEY I PAID IN ADVANCE! NEVER GET THE MONEY BACK. Stay alert!!!
