We had just got back from the Rosario islands, and we were exhausted from the long days in the heat and water. Coming here was just what we needed and to say it quite frankly, it blew away all of my expectations. The rooftop was amazing. The view of Cartagena took our breaths away. The pool there was very nice and big compared to the other hotels that we have stayed at in Cartagena. Everything was clean, well-kept, and smelled great. The bedroom was equipped with a great air conditioner which was immensely refreshing after a long day in the unbearable heat of the city. The bed was extremely comfy and we all slept great. The following morning, breakfast was exceptional and we were more than ready to confront the day ahead of us. Also, they kept the front door locked and hidden to ensure the safety of the guests. We felt very safe in this building. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Cartagena, say no more and book this hotel. Truly amazing.

This is my second time staying at Casa Claver. I adore this boutique hotel. The customer service is phenomenal, the proximity in the walled city is close to everything, and the room are spacious and clean. There is a delicious breakfast delivered in-room every morning. The rooftop pool and views are simply breath-taking. What more could you ask for such a wonderful boutique hotel?

We LOVE Casa Claver Loft! We always stay here when visiting Cartagena. The location is perfect, you can walk to anything in city center. The staff is amazing, James and Benjamin catered to our every request, if you have any questions about where to eat, shop, or take an adventure, they will take care of all the details and reservations. Led by a fabulous Manager Camilla, everyone makes you feel special and like old friends. Everything is well maintained, clean, and the breakfast brought to your room is so delicious. Thank you Casa Claver Loft!!!

This was a really cool hotel to stay at. You feel like you are just surrounded by history. Walking distance to just about everything and very safe. All the good restaurants, bars, clubs, coffee shops, museums and anything else you need near by. The hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating. They made sure that we had everything we needed. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was fantastic! Spent the early mornings and late evenings walking around exploring, but the middle of the day just chilling by the rooftop pool sipping on the local cervezas. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff, the location and the amenities make this place amazing. They have 2 pools and the roof deck has a nice layout. The pool is small but it's a wonderful place to chill out. The room we had was spacious, the AC was great and the kids absolutely loved it. As far as location, there is a 24 hour pharmacy down the block and it's walking distance to everything you need to do or see inside the walls. I would stay here again anytime.

Amazing boutique hotel great space in rooms and living area. breakfast elections in the morning are beautiful two pool options and the big plus AC!!! Front desk people always nice full of security any questions they always help us out great option is that you can always have breakfast in the room they bring it to you if you request. nice quiet ambience and it's like having your own large suite. Definitely recommend ended walking distance of the main square and the whole town itself.

Great location great place. I was very disappointed because it’s listed as a hotel, this is not a hotel it has no amenities , no bar , no restaurant, it does have great views. The rooms are spacious clean . anybody the loves Airbnb or who’s planning to stay for a long time Everything is within walking distance it should not be categorized as hotel.

Stunning boutique hotel! The room and facilities are top notch and very well maintained. The rooftop pool is an oasis to relax and cool off. Location couldn’t be better, right in the middle of the walled city. But by the far the best part are James and Benjamin and all the staff who truly cater to every need. Thank you Casa Claver for making our trip so special!

Amazing boutique hotel in the Old City of Cartagena. From our arrival until check-out the staff were so friendly and helpful. Right away we were upgraded to a nicer room, which was honestly too big for two of us to fully take advantage of, but we really appreciated it. The entire property was very clean and we'll kept. The breakfast each morning was delicious and filling, with a range of options that you order the night before. The rooftop pool had a great view and you can't miss taking advantage of it. We were alsp lucky enough to watch the parade in front of the hotel. Special shout-out to the front desk staff for helping arrange laundry, volunteering to walk me to an ATM when I was having troubles finding one that was open, and arranging our long taxi ride to Tayrona National Park. If we make it back to Cartagena, we will 100% be staying here again.

The good: The location is the absolute best. Everything—things to see/do, restaurants, shops—is within walking distance and it’s only about a 15 min drive from the airport (waking up at 6am and being able to wander around in the *empty* old city is priceless!). I want to give extra credit to the staff who are kind, helpful, attentive and they do their best! There are two pools—one inside and one on the rooftop. The rooftop area has a stunning view of the city. We got a standard double room on the first floor. Mini fridge in the room and closet to unpack clothes. Breakfast is included and it has to be ordered the day before for a specific time for the next morning. No buffet. Food is really delicious, the cooks are great. The not-so-good: there was no bottle water offered in the room, even though it would’ve been a nice touch and every other hotel offered it. WiFi barely works. The room looks right at the indoor pool and people obviously walk around there all the time which means zero privacy, unless you keep the roller shades down. For the same reason it’s not a quiet room either. There isn’t enough shelf space around the sink to keep toiletries there. Broken shower door—the water is spraying all over the bathroom floor.

All around 5 Stars ⭐️ We were a girls trip of 4 and the room offered PLENTY of space!! I’m an AC girl and the AC did NOT disappoint! The bathrooms were clean and décor was chic and functional. You get daily breakfast which was not only delicious but bought in suite daily and set up by the kind staff. I will definitely be back!! Pictures show views from the rooftop pool which is such a tranquil vibe!

Firstly, James is the patron every hotel needs, a consummate professional who takes obvious pride in ensuring a total customer experience. I very much appreciate the tailored approach and echo the sentiment of many previous reviewers. The hotel itself defines boutique. I doubt you can find anything like it in Cartagena and possibly Colombia. There is absolutely nothing I can fault and my only regret is not staying longer. Thank you to James and the team at Casa Clover for making it a special experience in Cartagena. When I return to Cartagena, staying here will be a no brainer. Muchas gracias.

I think we got the smallest room in the entire hotel. Our room in way smaller than expected from the website. It’s on the 4th floor and very near the lovely pool which is really nice. The excellent breakfast is included and is absolutely amazing. They will even deliver it to your room balcony - which is necessary as there is no place to set it down inside your room. We ran into a few other minor issues: the door to the unit when closed still bangs in the wind and makes a loud knocking sound. We fixed that by filling the ice bucket with water to make it heavy and pushed it against the door to keep it in place. There’s not enough outlets for your phones so we had to unplug the clocks. There is NO ROOM whatsoever for toiletries in the bathroom. Most of my bath items are in my travel bags on the floor. The 2 bath towels are pretty scratchy. There were no hand towels. However, I would still recommend this place because of the views, the nice staff, the incredibly excellent breakfast, and the beautiful pool, and the fact that most of the rooms are larger than this one. If you want a larger room be sure you know what you are getting. The website indicated a very large king room with a large bathroom. This is not that. If you don’t mind such a small room, then this is just perfect.

Wanted to share an excellent experience our family just had a Casa Claver. The accommodations were outstanding; clean, comfortable and functional. Support from the staff was incredible. We had a few excursions during our stay. James and staff were attentive and extremely supportive with the suggestions and arrangement of logistics (boat reservation, taxi and transport to airport, covid tests). We cannot say enough about the hospitality and quality of this boutique hotel. Thank you very much.

Such an amazing experience. This boutique was absolutely perfect! It was close to everything such as entertainment, restaurants, souvenir shops, clubs, etc. The view was breathtaking, and dreamy. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities you need. I will definitely be coming back here again, I felt safe which was extremely important for me. The only downside was that the WiFi really wasn't the best, it kept going in and out. But, it made you enjoy the moment more since you weren't constantly occupied on your phone. I extremely recommend doing a boutique rather than a hotel, it made the experience more personal.

Stayed at Casa Claver Loft Boutique Hotel for about a week and loved how AMAZING the hotel staff were! Whenever we needed information or had a request they seemed to exceed without having to; they even coordinated our rapid Covid tests for us (Covid tests are currently required to enter back into the U.S.). The hotel itself was extremely clean, had great food and was within 2-3 minutes walking distance to MANY sites, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, money exchange(s), bakeries, coffee shops and even a police station. I felt safe throughout my entire stay because the hotel was staffed 24/hrs, had cameras in the hallways and required a key to enter through its main doors (prevents non-occupants from entering). As for the pool on the 4th floor, very clean, well-maintained and provided a beautiful panoramic view of some nearby sites; great place to take a dip after walking around in the Colombian sun. I truly recommend to everyone (single travelers, couples, groups or families). Will definitely stay there again. Gracias Casa Claver!

Very good location, Very nice and spacious two rooms apartment. 2 pool and a turc bath ! Everything very well decorated and clean. I strongly recommend… A bit noisy as you are in the very historic part of the town, but really good experience.

This hotel stay was an absolute dream from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful all throughout. The pools are great and the views from the rooftop pool are stunning. The location was perfect. Everything inside of the walled city was literally 7 minutes walking or less. Many times we looked a place up to find it was just a 2 minute walk. Truly unbeatable. The employees were all really kind and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious and there was a good amount of options to choose from. The wifi worked perfectly from the room. The room itself was very spacious, super clean and comfortable. I definitely intend to visit this hotel again!

This hotel was absolutely stunning. The photos online do it no justice. We loved Marco & Benjamin at the front desk. The entire staff was so welcoming & accommodating. Wonderful location. Breakfast is included everyday. The rooftop pool was our favorite. The staff even arranged our covid tests in our room for us. A true gem!

Beautiful hotel just steps away from the Plaza. The rooms are gorgeous and clean. James, the concierge, was kind, helpful and took care of booking all of our trips. Breakfast was included and could be brought to the room The hotel is extremely safe with double locks on the hotel room doors and a pass key to get into the hotel 24 hours a day. The maids were kind and very good. And we had air-conditioning which is a must in Categena! Would definitely recommend!

This property deserves more than 5 stars. Excellent location. The finishes are on point. The rooftop pool and first level pool are welcome retreats. The views from lookout point and pool on rooftop are both worth the room alone. The staff , James and Benjamin as well as others are fantastic. James was excellent, went above and beyond in assisting me with a mishap that was totally on me. I will definitely be back. Excellent job!! Plan to be back soon.

I have nothing but good things to say! Beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location! Walkable to everywhere downtown, close to bars and restaurants, and not far from Getsemani. We stayed in the deluxe room, it was huge and very clean! More than enough space (and 2 bathrooms) with AC!!!! (It’s extremely hot there 😩). The two pools are beautiful and the rooftop one is so relaxing ! Especially at night. The hotel is so quaint and it felt like we were the only ones there ! And my favorite part was the included breakfast, many options and very good !!! FYI there is no food room service at night if your someone that orders food to the room but it doesn’t matter bc all the restaurants are a few mins away. Always felt safe (3 women traveling). I will deff be staying here again
