This hotel will always have a special place in our hearts as it was our first experience with Cartegena. Prior to arriving, Leyla, one of the great staff there corresponded with me about all the questions and requests that we had. She gave the experience of a 5 star hotel. Through the hotel, we were able to arrange for a car service to meet us and drop us off at the property. It was such a welcoming experience. The location, to me is perfect as it gave such a quiet reprieve from the busyness of the streets. It felt like our own private oasis. The accommodation is a great juxtaposition of modern and old. We enjoyed the breakfast daily- it felt like we had a private chef cooking for us. Absolutely loved everything about this property.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, very convenient location, and friendly staff! The breakfast was also delicious. They had umbrellas for us to borrow and helped accommodate transportation from and to the airport.

This was our second stay with Casa La Cartujita (we stayed there before the pandemic). It is located in a quieter part of the Walled City (further from the busiest touristy areas), but still within short walking distances of many top-notch restaurants and shops. The staff is very accommodating. Not everyone spoke English well, but we never had any issues communicating. They make a very tasty breakfast to order, with several great options. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a street-facing room with a nice balcony for evening people watching. The double pane windows were awesome - we didn't hear any noise from the street. Most rooms are upstairs (~1 flight of stairs). Staff is helpful with the bags, but something to keep in mind if anyone has issues with mobility. Overall, an excellent stay!

The customer service here was absolutely amazing. The entire staff, though not very large, was very accommodating to our needs. Jhan Carlos was excellent. He helped book restaurant reservations, excursions and the COVID test. The hotel is a boutique hotel with about 7-8 rooms, but I enjoyed the intimacy of the space. The location was great too. Breakfast was included in the rate, and they made the food fresh in the kitchen not far from the seating area. To enter the hotel, you have to knock on the door and someone will let you in. This tactic helps keep those passing by from just walking inside. If I return to Columbia, I will for sure stay at this hotel.

Super nice place, but what makes this place exceptional is how accommodating all the staff are. They are amazing! Worked hard to make us happy in every way! For example - cleaned all of our laundry & shoes (backpacking), setting up a COVID test, couture breakfast (dietary restrictions). Stay here!

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Casa La Cartujita! We originally booked for March 2020, but had to postpone to March 2021 due to the pandemic. Nathaly and the team were so kind, helpful, and accommodating from our very first emails, to our entire 7 day stay there. The hotel is in an incredible location within the Walled City - it’s within walking distance to amazing restaurants, bars, and cafes. We even walked to Getsemani a few times. We felt totally safe walking in the area around the hotel. Not sure if it’s always like this, but we had to ring the doorbell whenever we’d come back to the hotel. This wasn’t an issue for us, and it made us feel even more safe staying there. We had a balcony room with an awesome view of the street below, and the room was super clean and refreshing. The balcony door/window did a great job of blocking out almost all the noise, but you can still (very faintly) hear the sounds of horses, street entertainers, and music - this was still not a bother to us (it's Cartagena!), and we always had a good night's sleep. Early in our stay, I believe we were the only visitors at the hotel. Even when more guests arrived, the hotel premises was always clean and quiet. There’s a rooftop with a jacuzzi and great views. We also really loved the delicious Colombian breakfast served every day. It was some of the best food we had in Cartagena. Compliments to the chef! This modern and stylish hotel is in a prime location, has clean and comfortable rooms, and offers 5-star service from their friendly staff. I highly recommend staying at Casa La Cartujita if you ever visit Cartagena, Colombia!!!

Love this luxurious boutique hotel. Very convenient & close to everything, but I didn’t hear a sound while trying to sleep (& I’m a light sleeper!). Oscar, who works at the front desk, was so kind and helpful in making recommendations about the area and helping with my Covid test (to be able to fly back to the US). Arelis, the chef, makes the most amazing, fresh breakfasts. The hotel has a small plunge pool and a rooftop jacuzzi, that is cool, which is perfect for the heat in Cartagena. The air conditioning works well in the rooms, which is a relief, after the heat outside. The value for the price is exceptional. This hotel also responded quickly to emails prior to my arrival. Thank you Casa La Cartujita!

So glad I got to stay at this very chic boutique hotel! The entire hotel was very clean and spotless. The rooms were a perfect size for 2 people and and amenities/toiletries were top notch. They had US outlets which was perfect and no need for converters! Breakfast is provided every morning and it was so healthy and fresh — you get to choose from a Colombian, American, or a healthy breakfast. There are only 7 rooms in this hotel so it’s very quiet and calm indoors. The hotel staff were very nice and very hospitable. Every evening, they brought up a snack to our room. There are two pools, one on the first floor and the other on the top. Both are accessible during the day and at nighttime. The hotel was located in a prime location within the Walled City and everything was walking distance, about 5-10 min to go to the top attractions. Overall, very happy with my stay here for 4 nights! Would highly recommend to all!

The staff at this hotel were friendly and professional. There was an issue with my room that was resolved in a satisfactory manner. The breakfast was very delicious and had adequate options. The area around the hotel is walkable with many places to shop, eat and experience the local culture. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends and I will definitely stay at this property again on a future trip to Cartagena.

Beautiful hotel but what a shame about the staff. Whoever is in charge of hiring and training needs to be fired. You cannot ask for anything without getting a NO as a response before they listen to understand what you are asking for. A common attitude from those who are allergic to thriving in the hospitality field. If I had these people apply for a position in one of my companies .... They would be fired before they even started. What a shame !

The hotel was a good place to stay overall & the location is perfect. It's not in the "loud" area. They helped us arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel and charged us $60 pesos, and we found out it only costs $20-25 pesos to get a taxi from the airport. I guess that's the tourists price. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff were very friendly.

It's very nice and has a nice breakfast. Expect platters of fruit and wine. It has a very small pool and a jacuzzi. Lovely little hotel. Very centrally located.
