MAJOR SCAM WARNING I hate leaving bad reviews but I got here looking for for friends and some guys started hassling me outside. They said I was in their territory and couldn’t walk there. I went inside with my friends to avoid them for an hour and when I tried to leave, they had a sentry outside waiting for me to leave so they could surround me again and ask for money. The worst part? I asked the security guard and manager for help and to call the police (it was 11pm and still busy) and they just laughed and said they couldn’t do anything. This is a scam that I believe they’re all working on together - I wasn’t drunk or doing anything stupid, just going to a bar where my friends were at. Horrible, horrible bar and maybe the scariest experience I’ve had as an American even though I didn’t do anything wrong. Do not go here.

Walked into this place on accident on my trip to Cartagena and I loved it. Very intimate atmosphere with good music, dancing and good times. People don’t come until later as the bars close at 4am. Great bar

What can I say, the music is great, the vibe is awesome and the people are the same. There's comradery in this place, it's small but spacious. Great for impressing those business clients who want to let loose and have some good old fun. The hookahs are great and they offer a variety of flavors, definitely worth checking out for a business after party or with friends.

American place with American prices Hookah was $40 cocktails $12each haven't tried food but service was good granted it was empty on a Tuesday night Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's bad Place is super small but a good vibe...I wouldn't go back there's nothing special about it but I do recommend 1visit if in Cartagena

We were charged an additional 100 dollars on top of our bill. For having dollars. We weren't advised about this fee before hand. The service was poor. It was one server the establishment. after purchasing bottles we waited 30 mins for chasers..

On a street full of packed clubs and bars, Monkey Bar stood out as one not so full with friendly staff and reasonable drink prices. Plus great dance music. Recommended!

Some girl that was with me ordered some drinks and she didn’t pay them. The security didn’t let me out of the bar until I pay her drinks

Skip this place. Over rated and over priced drinks. When you order drinks and bartender pours shots short and charges for soda water for mix drinks Not worth it. Skip it and drink somewhere else.

Tight squeeze but good music. They play American music. If your on vacation they dont speak spanish so bring a bilingual person or have your google translator ready.

Great bar with strong drinks and excellent vibes. It’s small but mighty! They play a mix of regaeton, afrobeats, hip hop, pop, etc there’s something for everyone.

While the vibe was good, music was too loud. We were called into the bar by a lady outside. After ordering two waters I was over charged by card and felt the place was sketchy. My group ordered non-alcoholic drinks and were promptly kicked out. The prices of drinks are crazy high compared to other bars. Would avoid. The place exit just to scam.

Everything about this place is average. We only went because other nearby bars were completely full. Ordered two margaritas and the total was almost equivalent to our entire dinner + drinks earlier. Prices are ridiculously high for absolutely no reason. Much better and more reasonable prices nearby. Would never go back or recommend
