We stayed here 2/12-2/20. The condo was gross. There were small ants everywhere in addition to larger ants and one roach was spotted. We were not given hand soap or hand towels or washcloths. The floors and bathrooms were gross too. We would get out of the shower, step on the floor, and our feet would be disgusting from the dirt that still remained. The kitchen cabinets were broken out on the bottoms on many of them. This place definitely needs some updates! We ate at the restaurant a handful of times. Our orders were completely forgotten on two of those times and we weren't given all of our meal on another occasion. The condos were without power for an entire day because of weather and the restaurant shut down on at Saturday night at 8:30pm. The views were amazing but besides that, I would not recommend The Condor.

We went to the restaurant a few nights ago for early dinner and it completely empty except for a family enjoying snacks and drinks by the pool. The bartender was nice and served a decent cocktail, however the waiter really ruined the experience for us. He greeted us asking if we spoke Spanish or Spanglish. Tried really hard to sell us on the lobster and told us he'd be honest if something we picked was bad. We're from New England so never bother with lobster outside of Maine lobster but fair enough. The first couple of things (mixed ceviche and beef skewers) we ordered, he came back to inform us that the kitchen only had the fish ceviche and no beef. Understandable, so we got the fish ceviche and mixed-meat skewers. Our order took a long time to come, at least an hour. A family of 7 had arrived 20 minutes after us and had their tables served and cleared before we even got our meal. When our skewers came, it was mixed with shrimp, chicken, and beef with a very sad wilted salad and mashed potatoes when we had ordered the french fries. I had a couple of bites, it tasted awful. I left the place very hungry and disappointed. My partner paid and felt taken advantage of with the bill.

Bumpy road Dusty place Expensive and small rooms We went there due to an advertising, in tue Adds the price seemed to be reasonable When we arrived we checked the rooms and they were too small, smelled weird , and at the front desk we were said that price was the doble even when we had confirmed the information by messages. Fortunately we left [for real "too dusty" , too expensive and so small ] Note: beaches near are not the big deal [rip waters] and you still need to go back to the bumpy/dusty road ... also far away from ATMs, supermarkets , city , etc

Airbnb was great, my bad review is due to the restaurant bar praying on tourist, offering 2for1 happy hour and then charging full price. Edit- the employees said it was until 730pm. We specifically asked for the drinks on the 2 for 1. Got margaritas at full price

We had a fantastic time at this awesome Lodge. Had we been able to cancel our other two Air B&B reservations we would have stayed an extra two months. I recommend this place to all my retired Canadian Forces colleagues. Beer is ice cold especially the 6 beer bucket specials, mixed drinks for the ladies during Happy Hour, 3 cooks who know how to do it all. service is excellent, grounds and pool are kept super clean. View is breathtaking and the wildlife keeps you entertained if you are not too busy watching all the sport channels on TSN and ESPN. The wood stove oven pizzas will have you craving pie every day and add inches to your waist line. Half a dozen beaches within walking and short driving distance. You will definitely need a vehicle to get around and explore the whole area. Also a trip into Liberia to load up on groceries is highly recommended as this area (not the Lodge) is very expensive for food in general. I am definitely coming back next year and eating my body weight in Tomahawk Steaks and The Condor Pizza Supreme. The new Ops Manager promised to have pickled eggs and pepperoni sticks on the menu for me and all of my Canadian countrymen who visit this lodge. Also if you drink a fridge full of Imperial Beer the owner might even buy you a Pura Vida fishing shirt lol ! If you want a little bit more action, head into Tamarindo (20 minutes or so) which is like Wasaga Beach on a long weekend. Carry ON !

My friends and I visited the restaurant. The waiter forgot part of our order three times, so we had to wait extra time for the missing food/drinks. This wasn't good at all, considering we waited for almost 1 hour for our food and the restaurant wasn't even full.

We absolutely loved staying here for a week. The condo was so nice to return "home" to after a great day at a local beach. Plus, the lodge, the view, and the staff here are wonderful. This is a great place to stay if you really want to experience Guanacaste beaches, food, culture, and nature.
