A fantastic view of the Orosi Valley. The part of the Mirador with the best views is on an open hillside, a local favorite for picnicking. There is a simple trail along the perimeter and a few nice play places for kids in a semi-forested area. Bathrooms are maintained well. The parking is free, but a bit limited so it's a good idea to arrive early on weekends and national holidays.

Best place in Cartago, you can walk around, lay down on grass or even do barbeque at many designated areas for families and friends

I was here and got lost GPS wasn't working any longer due to new constructions. I speak very little espanol but the locals were still willing to help me find my way. Another reason why I love Costa rica. My second home. ❤💚🌄⛰

Another free entry spot for tourists in CR!! The views of the orosi valley are stunning. There is a walk uphill to see the lookout.

I spend time with my best friend (Fiio rl) and we enjoyed of a beautiful trip to this place called mirador de Orosi, her son enjoyed a lot everything like the playground that's there, I'm gonna show you some pictures.I recommend to come to this peaceful place.

I took a bus here from Cartago. The bus fare is supposed to be CRC610 per way but because I can't speak Spanish, I was shortchanged and was charged about CRC800, which disappointedly I only realised it much later. Mirador de Orosi is a viewpoint for Orosi, which overlooks the small town of Orosi. It's a family get-together weekend place with picnic and BBQ facility. It's free of charge with clean toilets. Apart from the nice scenic view, there's nothing much for me. I took 5 to 10 mins of slow walk before I decided to leave the place. I won't mind going if it's near to town but I guess once is more than enough.

Lovely view, and if you want to spend a day on a picnic with the family, this place will be great. If you are not up for the steep climb, just turn left after the main gate and follow the path. The best view isn't from the top of the hill anyway.

This a beautiful spot to take pictures and maybe enjoy the sunset. Absolutely breathtaking when looking at the mountains from this spot. It's on the side of the road, so... if you plan to stop by, bring a camera!

Nice place with a nice view. It's great that as well parking as well as entrance are free. Very good are all the pic nic areas with BBQs. The playground could be in better shape.

Stunning views! You can see the mountains, a river flowing down from the mountain to the lake, a small town. The entrance is free, it has clean sanitary services, bbq areas aka “ranchitos”, lots of green area, and parking space

This place is really well maintained. Fun and cheap way to spend an afternoon. The views are great too.

Great place for taking the kids and having a good family time doing some BBQ. Nevertheless, no ramps are provided for people with limited mobility and there are steep walks. Also, young children must be overseen at all times, as there are places where they could literally roll off the hill.

Beautiful park with facilities for use . Wonderful views and shelters incase of rain. There is a children's play area with equipment. Bathrooms on site. Many steps to get to the top.or you can take the path for an easier climb.

Just walk around, strech your legs and get some exercise done breathing the freshest air ever,or go easy taking in the view and get some amazing pictures... best of all is free!

Would highly recommend this place to anyone! Lots of green space, lots of spaces for families to cook/eat and it even has a big playground for kids. The views throughout are amazing!
