Beautiful place for a weekend trip, on the road to Irazu Volcano you can be mesmerized with the sceneries and views. The food was good. I tried the beef hamburger and it was tasty as hell! Though I had to eat it with a fork and knife because it was huge. My partner had a prosciutto pizza which was also pretty good. A 3 pax meal with 3 coffees and 1 alcoholic drink each was for $70 which is a good price for the amount of food and drinks. The staff were super nice as well. The place is kinda rustic and old but the views are amazing! We loved Grandpas restaurant! It’s like a 1 hour drive from San José

Beautiful scenery, good food and priced right. This hotel is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. The stay includes breakfast and let me tell you the food is really good here. I had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel's restaurant and the food was simy delicious

Amazing experience at GrandPas Hotel with a highly dedicated and welcoming staff. The room was perfectly clean and the bed... a real cocoon! I can only recommend this place for those who want to discover the Irazu just 30 mins from the hotel.

Well kept little cabins sitting above the clouds. The staff is formerly and helpful, the restaurant on-site has decent food, and the landscaping outside the rooms is well manicured. Cabins are not insulated so it can get a bit chilly in the evenings and the nearby road noise can be quite loud. Nice views from the rooms (when it's not too cloudy).

The location is perfect to visit the Vulcans irazú and turrialba. The bungalows are really lovely, clean and full of all the comforts... We had really good time. The view is amazing and the garden is very beautiful.... The staff is very friendly and nice... The breakfast is very good... Everything has a special care... Every detail...

Good size cabins on the foot of the volcano. Best hotel before the irazu volcano. 5 star view. Good priced restaurant with mediocre breakfast.

Nice place to get out of town and have nice food. The food has a nice taste and some interesting dishes. The food is light and has super fresh ingredients since almost everything is sourced nearby. The place has a very nice garden and combines modern with cozy feelings. The sunsets are very nice. The location is very accesible by car.

Likely wouldn't stay again for the price. Beautiful area and views but very minimal on the room. The cabina towards the road had very little, if any, soundproof and we heard all cars all night and morning. The breakfast was nice with stunning views...just simply not all worth the cost.

We did not stay in the cabins, just stopped by for breakfast. It was phenomenal. From the service to quality of the food, we were so pleased! Highly recommend it!!

It was an amazing experience start to finish! We went to Irazu volcano and it was on the same road. The only reason the location got 4 stars is because it is close to the road and there were cars going by all night. It was not really an issue though but could be for some people. The food!!! Wow!
