Amazing house, spectacular views, great hostess, fabulous area to visit. Besides the wonderful scenery, there are delightful little towns near by with stores and restaurants. Also close by are the botanical gardens, Ruins of Ujarras, 300 year old Church of Orosi, and hot springs. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Great House, stunning views, very well equipped. Close enough to town (Cartago) and attractions but nicely tucked away overlooking the Orosi valley. The people looking after it (and us) were delightful. Sensibly priced. A lovely relaxing weekend.

Beautiful stay in the CR mountains

An absolute gem in the beautiful mountains of the Orosí region. We found it via Air BnB and are currently staying with our 2 kids for 3 nights to split up the long passage from the west coast to the east coast. The house is absolutely beautiful with a breathtaking view over the valley from the large living room window. The terrace is spacious, the surroundings are calm. Our kids love the garden which includes a small play ground. The owner Vera was extremely helpful and communication was easy and her local assistant Jesus lives right on the property and took great care of us. The Orosí region is maybe less well known but definitely worth going to. Less jungle, more woods, coffee farms, amazing views.

Orosi is a magical place and Casa Bartzis perches magically above. Vera was extremely helpful and informative. We are a family of 4 and the house was perfect. A queen bed downstairs and two single beds upstairs next to the gorgeous terrace. We slept incredibly. The kitchen is large with warm water in the sink and fully equipped. The shower has great water pressure and enough heat to really steam things up on those cold mornings. The salon was a perfect place to play games with the youngsters. The viewpoint out front was mindblowing. The road up is intimidating at first, but is actual quite easy to climb. We totally recommend this place and can't wait to return. 6 out of 5 stars.
