My
parents
have
lived
at
the
Atria
Park
in
Great
Neck
for
almost
three
years.
The
Atria
staff
members
are
caring
and
attentive.
The
wonderful
nurses
and
other
Wellness
professionals
know
my
parents
well
and
keep
on
top
of
their
health
concerns.
Prior
to
the
pandemic,
the
outside
entertainers
who
visited
the
Atria
were
excellent.
The
facility
is
beautiful
and
well
kept,
and
has
lovely
public
areas,
including
outdoor
terraces
and
a
bistro
that
has
light
refreshments
available.
The
facility
has
been
exceptionally
well
run
during
the
pandemic.
Coleen
McAleavey,
the
Executive
Director,
has
given
the
community
frequent
and
thorough
updates
and
has
looked
out
for
the
well
being
of
the
residents
and
staff.
The
lockdowns
necessitated
by
Covid-19
have
been
very
difficult,
but
Dan
Horbachevsky,
Life
Guidance
Program
Specialist,
keeps
residents
engaged
and
has
made
sure
we
have
frequent
zoom
calls,
which
have
enabled
our
family
to
visit
with
my
parents
and
see
how
they
are
doing.
The
zoom
connection
lifts
all
our
spirits.
Deborah
and
Verrome,
the
receptionists,
are
always
extremely
helpful
when
I
call,
and
I
know
they
genuinely
care
about
my
parents.
Also,
when
the
lockdown
kept
the
family
from
celebrating
with
my
parents
on
their
wedding
anniversary,
Katie
Levenson
made
sure
to
make
the
occasion
special
for
them
with
lots
of
fanfare
from
the
staff,
balloons,
a
card
signed
by
the
community
and
a
nice
dinner.
When
the
lockdown
caused
her
granddaughter’s
Confirmation
to
be
virtual,
Aisha
Kingsberry,
Director
of
Life
Guidance,
made
sure
that
my
mother
was
able
to
see
this
important
event
on
Zoom
in
Aisha’s
office,
undisturbed.
We
are
grateful
to
Colleen,
Aisha,
Dan,
Katie,
Deborah
and
Verrome
and
the
rest
of
the
staff
for
going
out
of
their
way
for
my
parents
and
other
residents
so
routinely,
as
well
as
for
keeping
everything
running
smoothly
during
such
difficult
times.
