I don't believe it's ethical for a hotel to require an interest-free loan from its guests. Charging a $35 daily "incidentals" fee is really just an interest-free loan. The hotel has no restaurant or bar. What "incidentals" do they believe guests are charging? Additionally, I didn't want a handicap room because the entire bathroom floor floods during every shower. I moved to another room in which the a/c unit was dismantled. How did the hotel not know that? My third room was fine, except that without daily housekeeping, I didn't receive additional coffee and cups. I had to go to the front desk twice to get replenished. For the daily room charge, how can housekeeping not be included? The staff needs more training. A coworker staying in the same facility extended her stay another day. Her credit card was applied to a total stranger's room, and her room door was left open all day by housekeeping with her clothes and laptop inside. No, I would not ever feel confident staying at this facility again! If this is not enough, there are no restaurants close by (except at the Hilton next door). It's not a good location.

Clean hotel. Decent breakfast (both hot and cold choices). Comfortable rooms and modern looking. But it appears to be a party place. So loud Saturday night we all couldn't sleep. That's what a hotel is for after all right? Sleep? The hotels have party rooms on the main level - they should have moved the room party to an actual party room.

Although we were here for a funeral, the hotel was so nice we took pictures, talked laugh and enjoy the scenery. We almost forget the reason why we were here. Everyone was nice and the room was awesome. This would be a great place to take a vacation.

Excellent service, very clean rooms, EXTREMELY NICE STAFF. I asked a kitchen staff member if there were eggs and he let me know that was on yesterdays breakfast menu. Then went back to the kitchen and made me a few omelets special for us. Really exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff was very pleasant and caring when i needed help with getting back into my room where i had locked my key. Overall a fantastic and highly recommended establishment.

Called hotel to verify if they had available rooms. Heavy set guy who’s name starts with a letter “J” quoted me a price I offereto pay over the phone and he went on to tell me that I don’t need to that he has enough available… I get to the hotel 15 minutes later to be informed by the same guy that the room he quoted me was booked and I’d have to pay a little over $100 more if I wanted to stay there… I had no choice so I paid it…. Guess it’s a NY thing or just a common practice for the hotel… I could not tell…. Beware booking your room online… they also told me that booking online does not guarantee your stay because it’s a “reservation “ and it’s not paid until you get there… so someone can book it if they fill up… also room could have been cleaner…. Bathroom was dirty to the room… on a better note …. Breakfast was good…. Coffee was good

Stayed here before a cruise out of Manhattan which was a little ambitious. Hotel was great - clean, good rooms, friendly staff, the usual. Got free parking there for the duration of the cruise which was amazing. Seems like a pretty safe spot. If you need to rely on the SI ferry, Ubers from here aren't the cheapest. Averaged probably $30 plus tip which added up quickly. Obviously not the hotel's fault but just putting the info out there. If you leave for Manhattan in the morning to stay through the evening and then utilize the subway, it's not bad and you'll still save yourself a good bit by staying here. I didn't think the transportation bit was enough of a hassle that it would keep me away - just be money/time smart. We'll be back on our next trip.

Bathrooms need updating and there was a strange mango smell throughout the room which aggravated my allergies. The beds were comfortable. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Great place to stay. Pet friendly. Safe and convenient location. Great breakfast. Concrete floors so you won't be disturbed by people above you. Easy check in

Stayed at the sold-out Hampton Inn on Christmas 2023. Surprisingly, there was ample parking available when I came to check in around 930PM. I had chosen my room earlier in the day via the Hilton app, but the electronic key wasn't working, and we had to check in at the front desk. We were greeted very warmly by the front desk clerk, and he programmed us a set of room cards. I am not sure if it is just this Hampton Inn, but there is no traditional bathroom door, it is a barn door, yes, the ones that you slide. I've stayed here a few times, and every room has these horrible doors. Why? Whoever designed this needs to go back to basics 🙄 On this stay, we noticed that the shampoo, conditioner, etc...were not Neutrogena products that we love. The bed, pillows, and sheets were all very good, comfy. The towels in the bathroom have seen better days and could use a refresh soon. The next morning at breakfast, typical Hampton Inn spread, nothing bad...the breakfast area is just way too small if it is sold out and it showed. It was so crowded that many customers were taking their breakfast up to their rooms to eat. I enjoy coming to this Hampton Inn due to the cleanliness and location but have noticed the prices are steadily rising up, like everything else.

Spend 5 days at the end of the year, room 318. Musty odor throughout the stay, bathroom fan never worked. Reported it to front desk nobody bothered to fix them. The biggest issue was the Ac/heater it wouldn't work on low fan, only on medium and high which was extremely loud and it would stop even though the set temp had passed. The heater had a mind of its own, would not work most of the time. Very disappointing cuz it was cold and I had little kids in the room. Breakfast and location was good. Not the best experience for the price paid!

How I can use faucets to wash my face in the morning or even hand wash regular if the brown water isn't fixed ? It should be clear water. Yesterday seem to be fine .I bathed with hot water with that earlier. What's going on ? Please find better solution and fix it . I was told by the front desk to let it run it few more second . Still not working.

Was kicked out of my room despite paying for extra stay. Was told they already rented the room out and while they were kicking us out they stripped the beds like this saying they didn’t have any maids available, meanwhile this room is now supposedly already given to another person while it wasn’t even cleaned. While I was staying in this room I noticed the air unit had bird feces scattered all over its vents and wasn’t cleaned either before my stay. We had three rooms in total rented spending 5k a week and they kicked us all out of our 3 rooms and told us they already gave them to others for a wedding. I got this information at 4pm while I was still at work and had to rush here taking a cab to get my stuff out the room as I was forced out the room and told to get out just minutes after I arrived and was informed of this information. Never staying here again.

The hotel is intertwined with nature. The rooms are very nice. Breakfast is a classic American breakfast, but also you should put in non-pork products. A big thank you to 'Anna' from reception. She was very kind and helpful. Me and my wife were very happy with the greeting card she sent to our room.

This was my first visit to Staten Island to visit my son and newborn granddaughter!! I searched online for a whole week to find the perfect hotel for our trip. I decided on booking with this hotel due to the good reviews, the complimentary breakfast and the great location. I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. From the early and very easy check in, to the size of our room (we had a 2 bed queen suite) that had comfortable beds, to the amazing breakfast that was always stocked and had very tasty options the whole family loved. This will be the only hotel I stay at for my future trips to the Island. Thank you Hampton for a wonderful weekend!!!

Not a good idea! This place is not what a Hampton usually is all about Beds were old and squeaky, The air quality in the room smelled like a foot locker. The lights and air are on a motion sensor that shuts them off while you work at the desk or when you are sleeping, one will wake up all icky. The staff are amazing from the kitchen and some of the day staff I met were amazing. There are a few non workers just like everywhere these days. The vents had huge dust balls like they were not cleaned for ever.

There is a cowboy theme throughout the hotel because it stands where a stable used to be. The staff here is very friendly and I was actually recognized for being an Honors member, something that rarely happens. The rooms were nice and the drinks and snacks were not too expensive!

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Free breakfast was varied and plentiful. Location was ewwww easy to access and quiet. Liked the "horse"motif - gave the property character.

Came here with the family for Labor Day weekend, it’s a pretty decent hotel if you’re looking for an affordable stay for visiting New York! We didn’t have any issues with booking rooms or the room itself, unlike our previous experiences at other hotels in this area. The breakfasts were good as well, and the staff is great too. Would recommend to families planning to stay for a weekend in this area!

You often get what you pay for with hotels. I've seen much worse hotels for a much higher price. There's a lot of good value at this Hampton Inn hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and clean. The air conditioning system is up to date and efficient. The complimentary soaps in the bathroom are high quality and feel good on the face and skin. There is sufficient parking and the entrance doors to the hotel are double door automated for ease of access with handicap wheelchair entry. There are luggage carts available for free at entry, as well. The provided breakfast is a rare sighting these days. It is more than just a cup of coffee and piece of toast. There are not many vegan options in the offering but there is a good handful of different fruit and toast options for those that are vegan. Otherwise for breakfast there is bacon, scrambled eggs, French toast, waffles, hard boiled eggs, etc. There is an exercise room with some free weights, cardio machines, and a combo machine. It's quiet in there with very little traffic from my observation.

Hotel was just OK. Service was good but there were some big negatives. Extremely noisy and constant door slamming. Also, room temperture was an issue. The thermostat was non functional, totally blank. Too hot at night, too cold in the morning. Totally unsatisfactory. One last negative, comforter was very low end. For $186, not a good value at all. Not recommended, I expect more out of a Hilton property. Very disappointing

Stayed 7 nights bc I was having work done on house. We extended stay so we had to switch rooms. In each room, furniture was broken. No ironing boards in either room. Shower still in 1 room was not very clean. No extra roll of toilet tissue & no garbage pail in room. Just essentials missing. However, the people that did breakfast, did a terrific job. Clean, well organized. Plenty for all & it was crowded. Staff very friendly & accommodating. Rooms need to be maintained much, much better.

Great place to stay. Rooms are very clean. They're are equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, TV, and a desk area. We also had a mini couch in our room. The rooms are huge as well! Complimentary breakfast was a plus. The staff were very friendly and followed COVID protocols well. Highly recommend if visiting NYC. You can save a lot of money and just take the Staten Island Ferry which is free and runs every 30 minutes 24/7.

Stay at the Hilton Garden Inn right next door! The service at the front of the Hampton is average at best. Having status with Hilton doesn't make a difference at this Hampton unlike other Hamptons across America. For example, as a Diamond member, I always receive bottled water at check in and when requested throughout my stay. Not at this Hampton. Little things matter.

Booking on 3rd party website with Pets Allowed. Front desk girl name Mena has really bad attitude and told me that’s not pets friendly and service animal only. I told her that it shows on the Priceline, but she said she know the company website only said service animals only. So if you want to stay in this hotel, please check their website for detail before you do it

The rugs need to be changed in the guest suites. The rooms were generally clean and the beds were comfortable. The bath rooms were clean. The computers in the business center loaded up very few web pages that were selected by Hilton. I needed google maps to find my way around SI. It was not available. You can't print a map that won't load up.

WE LOVED this property! Our room was HUGE - our dog had so much room to run around. There was a wet bar, a couch/living room area, a desk and clean beds and bathrooms. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. I loved that the area was gated. It felt like a little hotel community. We were completely pleased with our stay here!

Right from the start I was greeted by the employees in the front and about the entrance. Truly felt special. I was checked ✔️ in with no hassle and given further instructions from the professional taking care of me. Everything regarding from the front desk was spot on. The food was great delicious 😋 ,along with the impeccable service. The hotel also has another hotel in the same complex the Hilton Gardens. What a beautiful place as well with much more amenities. Will have to check ✔️ it out soon. I'm sure the visit will be just as rewarding ☺️. ***** five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way around

I travel a lot up and down I-95 and always stay at Hilton brand hotels, they are generally very nice. This Hampton inn, not so much. I requested an early check in on 8/6 when we booked it and if they could accommodate that request, they would. We arrived at noon, passed the dirty entrance with overflowing trash receptacles, and asked the girl at the front desk if we could check in.. Sure, you can check in now for $50.. Since i had a party to attend at 1:30, I paid it. Felt like we were being robbed. Pay or you wait for the very same room we’re putting you in anyway. If you happen to get room 626 and find yourself trapped in the bathroom because of the broken ill fitting door, dont panic. Gently push it out past the track and slowly slide it to the right. From the condition of the door and the yellow tape on it, id venture to say i wasnt the first stuck in there.. Check out is at 11.. i left the hotel around 7am, and checked out from Pennsylvania. Why not ? I was already charged 25% more for my early check in, I wasn’t giving them the early check out. And finally, if you going to pay to much for a dirty hotel, pay it in Manhattan.

The room was a nice size with plenty of outlets (often a problem in hotels) but was really run down. The carpet was stained and the walls were dirty. The shower needs a good scrubbing and a shelf or two. When I went to grab something from the car, I smelled a burning smell on my walk back in and noticed smoke coming from the wood chips by the plants. I told the front desk and she said it was probably smokers that didn't dispose of a cigarette but she went immediately called for someone to go check. In fact, the friendliness of the staff was the only real positive of my stay. It was only one night so I didn't complain but I doubt I'd stay at this location again. It was not up to the Hampton Inn standard. Side note: The noise from the highway was loud all night. If you do stay here, maybe ask for a room on the other side of the building. Not sure if it will help, but it can't hurt.

Overall we liked everything but housekeeping was not consistent they skipped like couple days in a row and we had to call down for towels and coffee. And when we first checked in I was taken aback to see how messy the bathroom looked. They had fixed the ceiling and didn't bother to clean up all the debris. And they couldn't clean it that night so we had wait till the next day. That was pretty disappointing but otherwise the staff were quite pleasant and helpful!

DON'T BE FOOLED!! DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Staff are treated unfairly & don't get paid enough. The rooms look clean but are RARELY CLEANED THOROUGHLY. If the sheets, duvets or towels have no stains, they will not be changed. The linens we change the most are pillowcases. Most housekeepers here use the same rag that is used to clean the toilet to also wipe down the counter surfaces, phones, fridges, microwaves & remotes. #Disgusting. EVEN WITH MY EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT I WOULDN'T STAY HERE!!!

I stayed one night in the King Suite, and I wasn’t disappointed at all! The room was super clean, the staff was incredibly attentive to me arriving early, as well as they were super respectful towards myself and my service dog. The room spacious and really nice but the TV isn’t good at all.. If there’s anything I’d sit and like, make a negative comment towards, it’s definitely towards the TV. The TV is super old, and the lighting isn’t good on it. For the prices they’re charging per night, I’d definitely assume they can attest afford maybe a nicer TV?? Or Atlest maybe one that’s like definitely not from 2012. Overall: Wonderful experience, super easy check in, just needs some more modern upgrades.

I stayed with my kids for 2 days just to change the regular environment and get in touch with Staten Island more deeply. It can be a great escape from NYC (and you are still within the city) but you need either a car or  Uber to get there. The surroundings are great - a lot of trees and sculptures. Hotel provided a good breakfast,  our room was OK too. But they don't have a pool. And it was very unpleasant when during breakfast staff came to  people and asked about room numbers.

The room was ok, nothing special. There was a big stain on the rug, and room was a little run down. The front desk staff were friendly, and the breakfast was nice with alot of different choices. Would stay here again, but just wish it was a little more updated and cleaner.

  • 4/5 Jeannette S. 1 year ago on Google
Staff was great, beds comfortable. Pillows horrible- flat. I would suggest bringing your own travel pillow. The free breakfast was adequate, eggs could have been better. The room design, I stayed in a 2 queen suite was not done well. No storage for unpacking, and the chaise sofa , arm in the wrong direction. You could not sit and watch TV.

  • 2/5 Joseph R. 1 year ago on Google
Front desk was not clear that bringing a pet would make it so that your incidentals weren't refunded. Not once was I told of a Pet Fee until I called back three weeks later to see why my card still had charges on it. Room was okay, nothing special. Breakfast was good.
