This beach area is beautiful . I almost don't want anyone to know about it and crowd the place. :) There isn't much entertainment and boardwalk ammentities but there are wonderful dining options across the street. A VERY FUN playground build on the beach for kiddos, lots excercizing on the boardwalk, and free drive up parking. The fees for entry are very affordable and worth every cent. There is so much space. Even in the middle of summer you'll have a lot of space and privacy at your site.

This is a nice beach, but I like a beach that has a longer boardwalk so you can enjoy a good run or walk with the beautiful scenic ocean view. The boardwalk is an old-fashioned style and has ball shaped lights for your evening enjoyment. The beach closest to the Shark River Inlet is called the "L" jetty and is popular for its good surf. You can also fish off the inlet jetty. They have a playground for the children and a snack stand, but there are no arcades. Dogs are allowed on the beach from Oct.1 - May 1.

Avon by the Sea is a beautiful beach πŸ–! It’s clean 🧼, not overly crowded and the parking is free! There is a lovely boardwalk with pavilions, playgrounds πŸ›, concessions 🍟 🌭 🍦 and clean bathrooms It does not have a huge boardwalk but that’s one reason it’s clean and not packed. If you are looking for a clean , quiet and peaceful beach 🌊, I would recommend trying Avon .

Close to rocks not much waves in the center plenty of waves. Clean and quiet, regarding that it's understandable that music isn't allowed but not being able to play music on your cellphone is going overboard. That's pathetic and exaggerated that one can't play music on a cellphone that can barely be heard. The waves crashing are louder ! Price is pretty expensive $12 for a beach that doesn't have amenities, food, allow alcohol, nor lets you play music on a CELLPHONE πŸ“± POLICE WALKING AROUND NON STOP WILL TWLL YOU TO TURN IF OFF. SMH.

Love coming to the Avon Inlet beach. The cove makes it a safe swimming area. The inlet is exciting with boats coming in and out! Boardwalk is fabulous. Bathrooms are clean. Nice family fun!

Such a beautiful beach, on a gorgeous beach day. This is what it's about folks. Especially 10 days or so prior Memorial Day (no lifeguards yet keep in mind) everything is quiet, accessible, and plenty of parking!! Woo-hoo!!!

Planning to go early morning to just watch the sunrise. Was not able to wake up early, but still went and my husband drove an hour and 20min. Arrived a little late to see the sunrise but still very happy even if sun is up and feeling hot. The beach is very much inviting and enticing. Me and my husband just walked in the sand. The shore is not that crowded but a lot of people are doing their walking and jogging by the boardwalk. Loving this beach, looks so calm and serene. Parking is not a problem, when you go early though. πŸ€πŸ˜„

The dark stormy beach was an enchanting masterpiece of nature's fury. The crashing waves, ominous clouds, and swirling mist created an eerie yet captivating atmosphere. It was an awe-inspiring experience that left me spellbound and craving more. Absolutely breathtaking!

The beach is OK. Just it didn't feel like a big beautiful ocean. The water looks dirty. In the season it requires a fee during the day before 5pm. You can park for free on the nearest streets other than Ocean avenue.. just several steps more to walk. Probably it will be good for families with kids as there is a nice playground available. The restroom is clean.

Beautiful beach! Not packed and very relaxing to hangout at. There's even a playground and a little library! There are also changing rooms / restrooms on the boardwalk.

Nice and clean beach… great place to take pictures. The parking close by is not too high. There are para sailing activities near by . Jet skies are not closer to this beach area.

Great jersey shore point. Not crowded. No games or rides on boardwalk. Good if you're just there for the beach. Although there was a red flag warning because of the hurricane and strong riptide. Didn't really get to go in water.

This was my first time hearing of Avon-by-the-Sea Beach. I was in town for work related training, and a colleague who lives in town shared this wonderful beach with a group of us. It was a beautiful early November, warm temperature in the 60s and a beautiful blue sky. I will certainly be back to experience the boardwalk, getting my toes into the sand, and just enjoying the sights. There are plenty of nearby restaurants within the area that I am reviewing for my next visit.
