We spent 4 days in Villavieja. On the day of arrival we stopped for a drink, 3pm, on the terrace, with the dogs. It has 6 tables in front of the bar. My surprise when I entered the place and.....it was full. The locals with their gatherings and games. Inés is amazing. As if we had always known her. She makes you choose... Her husband, ditto, but since this is in the afternoons, we agree less. The rest of the days, a must visit because we feel very comfortable.

Bar with tobacconist, very nice Inés, good pinchos and being able to buy tobacco on weekends and outside of normal business hours is a super advantage.

Kindness, good welcome and hospitality for a pilgrim on the winter route. A place with daily opening hours, something essential to be able to eat something or even take away if you go to the Villavieja hostel since there is no grocery store in this or in the nearby towns and the other bars have more irregular hours. Good informative without being overwhelmed and very friendly. A highly recommended place for pilgrims, walkers or tourists. I recommend that pilgrims follow the road from the entrance of the town and from Ines' house join the path easily.

Inés is a very nice person who treats you with kindness and, in my case, apart from a good plate of food, she provided me with the bread that I was missing. Thank you Ines... Like previous comments, I recommend arriving at your establishment via the road. Apart from the fact that it is in front of the town hall, where they will also stamp your credentials and give you the keys to the hostel.
