It is worth doing a few km of very narrow and curvy roads. It is a very beautiful town surrounded by nature. Very pleasant walk

In this wonderful village of Tebaida Leonesa, one of the very few and most beautiful examples of Mozarabic art that has come down to us is preserved, as if it were a miracle. The Church, fortunately, can be visited at a stable schedule, and on top of that for free! It was built in the 10th century by the hermit monk S. Gennadio de Astorga, and inaugurated by his disciple named (so impressive!) Salomón, along with the Monastery that accompanied it (now disappeared!) The Church has a Latin cross plan, plus 2 side chapels. The barrel vault and walls preserve part of the paintings that completely covered it. The most unique and well-known thing is its magnificent horseshoe arches. It also has a magnificent freestanding belfry. Despite the hardness of the road to get there, the visit is more than justified!!

An amazing village ticked high up in the mountains near Ponferada. The Mudéjar influences, ancient graffiti and painted walls were amazing. A stunning setting and a great place for a rural walking holiday.

One of the most " pueblos" villages in Spain Tortuous and winding road but, worth every kilometre of the road.... it's a must.

I'm back after many years and it's been exciting. The church is unique and surprisingly well preserved, especially after the intervention years ago that brought the frescoes to light. The road is complicated but it is worth it. The person who guards the church is very friendly and the visit is free

Very beautiful Village and we can see locals try to keep everything as it was many years ago. Very good atmosphere when walking around. Very small village. It has 2 restaurants though. The road to the village is very thin and average speed is 40 km/h. Takes a while to arrive there.
