Great, albeit limited food menu. Drink menu was very strong and the service was top notch. My steak was a once in a lifetime type dish. This is definitely a place to go for a special occasion or a high-end date.

Tl;dr It was just fine, but we won’t be back. We went here for our wedding anniversary hoping we would have an amazing dining experience, but it was very average. The food was pretty mediocre for the price. We got the crispy ribs as an appetizer and it was a bit heavy with the salt, but I liked the concept. I got the chicken as an entree and that was a mistake. It was a tiny chicken breast with an even tinier drummette attached. I liked the potato au gratin, but the collard greens were sweet for some reason. I was at least expecting a half chicken. My husband got the prime rib and it was very flavorful, but it would have been even better if they seared it before serving. He got a side of Mac and cheese and it was like soup. The flavor was a bit like truffle oil, but not particularly cheesy. The drinks were nice and strong. We got the brownie for dessert and the brownie was hard and cold when we were expecting it to be warm. Our server was fine, but she was not very personable. She didn’t really try to make conversation with us at all even though it wasn’t too busy when we arrived. Overall, it was fine, but I’m in no rush to visit again.

We chose this restaurant last minute on our way to go see Air Supply at DPAC. They are right next door. We couldn’t get a seat in the main dining room, but we did get a seat in the bar area. The Service was on point. We were able to order off of the regular menu. The food was exquisite—worth every penny. At my table, we ordered the salmon, fillet and the chicken. All were amazingly delicious I tasted everything. We did start with appetizers the fried okra and the two meatballs in a vegetable marinara they both were just as delicious. That’s my 2 cents now you decide! ✨

Spur of the moment decision and what a great one it was!! Our waitress, Sara was one of the best I have ever had! She was intuitive and super personable and made the beginning of our night to “Six” perfect and special! Thank you Sara! Now the food! It was amazing! Perfectly prepared and presented!

Absolutely phenomenal! Got sat quickly with a reservation. Ordered a few apps and mains. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. The beef fat fried fries were something else...like... you need to try em'. The pork rib app was a great start! The wife's vegetarian entree tasted so fresh and good ( she's not even a vegetarian). Finished with the crembrulé which you bknow they used a torched to crisp the sugar with! If you're in Durham, you need to stop by and enjoy! Flawless execution from the service to the food!

Service was great. Cocktails were good. Steak tasty. Prices were not bad for steak but I wish there was a touch more flavor or seasoning on my NY strip

Best experience in my life. We didn’t have a reservation but was accommodated after a short wait. Both people taking care of seating people were extremely friendly and helpful. I am handicapped and they were very welcome to ensure that I was comfortable while I was waiting. Once seated our server made us feel welcome and exceeded our expectations. Her recommendations were very helpful and made our meal much more enjoyable. The food was the best I have ever eaten. The steak was much better than I have eaten at Angus Barn or Ray’s. Thank you for a wonderful evening and a great dinner.

Great place and ambiance. The food was delicious and service were outstanding. We love it!! But we wish they have kids menu or more options for them.

The food here is absolutely amazing! The steaks are great but the Smash Burger here is one of the best, especially with their fries. Highly recommend a visit!

My boyfriend and I visited Nanasteak for my birthday. It was absolutely perfect! We had an early reservation but the place filled up quickly. We both got the filet mignon and shared a side of fries, broccoli, and Mac and cheese. We also ordered wine and bread. Everything tasted great! Didn't order dessert because we were so full but our waitress brought out some ice cream with a candle. It was a sweet touch! Parking was free in the deck (make sure you tell any attendant that you are dining) and a close walk. Highly recommend Nanasteak for a nice dinner.

Stopped in for dinner before the show. New to the area and didn’t make reservations so we sat at a high top. The ribeye was unbelievably delicious. Exactly how I want my steak done with the nice char. Together with mushrooms and their sauce made this steak the best steak of my entire life! The beer fat fries are a MUST!!!

Top tier !! Lovely place for fresh and flavorful food. I only had a party of three but staff were very attentive to the needs of the table. The waitress did suggest her favorites and most popular dishes after being prompted. The salmon was very flavorful and cooked to perfection at medium. The orzo was prepared nice and did not over power the salmon. The chicken was plated well and tender (not sure if they brine it first ) but the flavor profile was A+. The collard greens at first took me by surprise because of the flavor but to know that brown sugar and apple cider vinegar are used, made it next level. The potatoes were plated nicely and the texture brought the entire plate together. Overall great experience. It was a pleasure to meet Graham and he took the time out the spark a conversation with the table. If you have not tried this restaurant , definitely put it on your list !

My first outing to this restaurant was amazing. Started with the seasonal tomato salad and a watermelon margarita as highly recommended by Dana (my server) and they were delicious. Next had a perfect filet mignon and roasted red potatoes (the potatoes tasted amazing with the sauce that came with the steak… the steak itself didn’t need sauce since it was already tasty as is). And because I’m celebrating my birthday, she brought me ice cream with a candle 🥳 This was a birthday treat for myself and I knocked it out the park 🎉🎉🎉

100/10!!! Could not have been better. Wes and Jared were incredible and the service was impeccable. We got the heirloom tomato appetizer, filet mignons, and various sides. Everything was exquisite and the filet was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had (and that’s saying something). The owner also came by and was very very nice. We can’t wait to come back!

Great ambience with music playing softly in the background. Staff were attentive and provided suggestions. I had the short rib which was absolutely delicious and more than enough quantity wise.

GO EAT HERE NOW! you will not regret it!!! First time trying this restaurant and we absolutely loved it. Coming back for my birthday next month because it was just that good! I got the New York Strip and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly, so much flavor! Husband got the Ribeye and also loved it. We shared the Wedge salad (delicious!) and fries and it was plenty. Best fries I’ve ever tried. Cocktails were sooo good too. And service was wonderful! Our waiter took great care of us. The environment feels very cozy and comfortable for conversing with others. We met a couple next to us who were celebrating their 14th anniversary and had a great time talking to them! They ended up paying for our drinks which was such a kind gesture, If you see this, thank you!! We so appreciated it. Anyways I cannot wait to come back next month, what a great time!

Drinks were very good. We had Manhattan, El Matador and the Chocolate Cherry Cordial. Cordial was our favorite. For appetizers we had the bread, bibb wedge style salad, beef tartar. Best appetizer was the beef tartar. The house made potato chips were a unique addition to the plate. For dinner we had prime rib and the wagyu skirt steak special. Both were cooked and seasoned beautifully. The wagyu truffle sauce was outstanding. For sides we had baked Mac and cheese and root vegetables in honey and thyme. Root vegetables were very tasty. Mac and cheese was over the top cheesy. Almost too much cheese if I dare say it! For dessert we had homemade ice cream and sorbet. Both were extremely well made and excellent. Service was very good. Manager was circling the restaurant and very attentive. Overall a good meal and we would return.

It took an hour to get our food. An hour. The food was tasty and the service would have been excellent had she stayed on top of the kitchen about why our order was taking so long. Maybe she did? I have no idea. They have a lot of gluten free options and will point you to an app you have to register on the spot to use, that will filter the menu by allergen/intolerance. They have a dedicated fryer for fries. It took an hour to get our food.

You need reservations to dine in. If you're watching a show at DPAC server will make sure you get there on time as to not hurry your fine dining experience. Bar sitting also offer different menus from the table settings. Really good food and big serving too.

Really exceptional! Meats were cooked to perfection. The steak tartare, prime rib and bbq ribs were so delicious! Outstanding service. Corkage fee was reasonable - $25

Incredible unique drinks and delectable dishes. The menu is fairly limited (entree options are a single beef, a single pork, single chicken, single fish, and a single vegetarian option), so if you have dietary restrictions maybe check out the menu ahead of time. They seem flexible about modifications. I had the arugula beet salad and the mushroom soup (wow!), and both were absolutely fantastic! Everyone in our group got something different, and everyone was very pleased with their meals! All of the flavors, sauces, and sides were perfect complements.

I am here from Miami and decided to randomly choose a place for a great steak and I hit the jack pot!!! I had the greatest Ribeye steak that just simply melts in your mouth! The Mac and Cheese was so delicious and was super hot when served with cheese just oozing from the hot skillet while served! Omg!!! The bartender made me one of the best Lemon Drop Martini ever!!!! NANA Steak will forever my new restaurant when I am here in Durham! Thank you for an amazing dining experience!!!

A fine dining experience with the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner with my wife. The Filets were cooked perfectly, and we both cleaned our plates. She fell in love with the place! Definitely one of my favorite places now!
