We had a great time! The 'Mega Bucket' was worth it!!! It was my BFF's birthday and I got the Mega Bucket in hopes of her getting one or two 'big ones', we got so many!!! She was in heaven! Staff was great and super helpful, funny and sweet. We love Melissa and Molly (hope I got those names right😬) We will be back soon! *Tip pack snacks or lunch. They have a lunch area.

So... If you're tired of bounce house birthdays and you're looking for something fun, give these folks a shot! Our daughter absolutely loves pretty rocks and mentioned wanting to do a rock/gem birthday. A quick Google search later and we found out Blue Diamond was just a few minutes down the road. The best part was despite being 40 degrees out and raining, we had a nice warm covered area to go through the buckets and enjoy some cake afterwards. Everyone had a wonderful time and more than a few parents thanked us for switching it up a bit.

This place is great! This was the first time here at Blue Diamond and my kids had the best time. The mining mills trough has tons of gems, sea shells, fossils, and arrow heads. They have a huge play ground and sitting area, so you can relax and just hang out while the kids play or have a nice picnic at one of the many tables set up. They have tons for stuff to do and the restrooms are the cleanest around. The staff here treats you like family. We will be back for sure. Love this place.

Great place for birthdays, or just spending a fun morning with kids. We live so close, and I can't count how many times we passed this place and didn't know it existed... We had a birthday party there. Kids had a blast just exploring all the fun areas (caves, goat petting, swings, and more), followed by the main activity which was mining rocks. You can add special gems for extra $, then relax in a shaded area for some food. We actually stayed after the birthday was over and played outdoors. A few things to notice: - it was warm, so if you are booking a bday, do it in the 1st shift (10:30am) - make sure if there is another event. We were rushed to finish by the employees, but there was no event there. We could actually pay a little extra and won't be in a rush to leave Bottom line: we will be back. It was super-fun :)

This place was the best! We were visiting NC last minute and looking for some fun things to do with our kids of varying ages (13, 10 and 3). We love hunting for rocks and have visited many places to pan of rocks/gems across the US but this was by far the best we have ever visited. Their prices were very fair. I loved the open space they had available for the kids to stretch their legs and play. After we finished panning our youngest was able to entertain himself on the playground and building with the jenga like blocks and dinosaurs. While, my other two hunted for fallen treasures on the ground. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable and spent hours talking to our son who is obsessed with rocks. She helped him find and identify several rocks, gems and fossils answering all of his (and my) questions in the process. I would definitely recommend coming here!!

So much fun!! I loved the family atmosphere. The people that helped us were so knowledgeable and great with my kids!!! We found a ton of gems and it was very reasonably priced. Would definitely come back on our next trip.

Great place to take your kids for an afternoon out of the house. We got the Jackpot Bucket and it was HUGE. We got two gallon ziploc sized bags of precious gems, fossils, shells, etc. My son loved all the other little playgrounds to play on because he would get tired of sifting through the bucket and want to take a break. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the finds we had too.

Fantastic little place. Indoor and outdoor panning available. Small store with lots of cool items. Make this a stop if your in the area. We look forward to visiting again

Had the best time here on Friday - really felt like we were at one of the gem panning spots in the mountains. The Collector’s bucket was for sure our favorite because there were so many cool tumbled stones!! The goats were so cute and the staff was so cool and helpful too!! This was so much fun and we will for sure be planning a trip back soon

We love this place and the family that runs it! We love finding giant shark’s teeth and the fireplace in the cold season! Such a cute place to have here in Cary. Perfect for a great birthday party or special gifts that sparkle and shine!

This place is great and the staff was absolutely amazing! We traveled to North Carolina for spring break and despite it being cold and rainy we had a good time. We were outside under the covered sluice due to multiple parties going on but the owner was so accommodating. She brought out outdoor patio heaters for us and even sat on the floor in the gift shop playing gemstone bingo with our 8 year old daughter. Wish the weather was better so we could have enjoyed more of the things they have to offer. The prices of the buckets were very reasonable and the little one even found a megalodon tooth in her bucket. So glad we decided to stop here on the way home. We would travel the 3 and a half hours just to come here!

Who knew about this little hidden gem (pun intended) in Cary! Because I certainly didn't! What a wonderful place to go with your children for a family experience. Or go with some friends to pan for gems. Or just go by yourself and relax while you sort through crystals? I went with my sister and we got the collectors bucket, the mega load bucket, and a jackpot bucket. I loved the collectors bucket. Mostly tumbled gems, some nice carved stones, great bucket if you're not into raw stones. The mega bucket had so many gems to sort through! If you're not the best as determining raw crystals (such as sapphire or ruby) from plain rocks, this bucket can be a little frustrating as it's made with gravel rather than sand. The jackpot bucket was great too! My sisters excitement when she found the megalodon tooth was well worth it! The staff were wonderful! So friendly and would walk by and tell us about the different stones we had found so far. This is definitely a beautiful, relaxing, family friendly place that is worth a visit!

My family was in town for spring break and the Blue Diamond appeared in our list of great places to take kids. It did not disappoint! The kids had a great time panning for and learning about the items hidden in their buckets. Even better, Rachel - the manager - was an excellent host and teacher. She eagerly answered all the many questions our kids had about what they discovered and provided the personal attention you don't often find. If we were in the area again, we would definitely pay a return visit to Blue Diamond!

What a great experience! Hands down, the best around the Triangle! I took my 11 year old daughter and she still really enjoyed it! Super friendly staff, affordable and beautiful gems! A must do!

So much fun for my two year old! A great little play area with slide and little seesaw. Panning was fun; go on a nice day and enjoy! Would come back again, great people work here too 👍

My kids and I really enjoyed the panning for gems at Blue Diamond. It was close in town to Cary where we were staying. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful and gave postcards showing the different gems that we could find. The selection Of the different options were affordable.

Staff makes the experience easy for parents and an amazing adventure for the kids! I saw more than a few adults really getting into it themselves. Staff comes around to tell you about the stones in your sifter. They also have a playground with swings, ropes course, and rock climbing at safe heights around the trees. This was a great choice for our family trip!!

i literally love this place so much. i may be addicted i’ve gone multiple times in the past month and have had just the best experience each and every time. i used to go to come here a lot as a kid with my family, and i remember having a lot of fun. now as an adult, i have the same about of fun and you don’t get that experience many places. plus the hard working employees are so sweet and caring, i can tell they genuinely are interested in what they do and want you to have a good time. and i appreciate that. they always help me out when i have questions. i don’t get that level of customer service many places so it’s very nice to see that they are all well educated and trained. you guys are awesome, all y’all deserve raises, i love y’all so much. :))) i will definitely come back. i need more collectors buckets in my life.

Amazing service, reasonable prices, nicely set up. We got there during a tropical storm so there weren't many people there besides us and the person that worked there. She was very attentive and answered all of our questions. This place is definitely worth your time and money. It's a good outing with your kids in any weather and any temperature.

I had my son’s 4th Birthday at Blue Diamond Gemstone, and everyone had a great time! The panning was really fun for the kids (and parents too)! The play area was super cool for this age group. Seems like they are expanding with more caves. Can’t wait to visit again!

My daughter, 6, enjoyed it. Lots of little play areas. It was about $5 for her to play. We picked the $9 pan bucket. She found d so.e cool pieces. It was shaded. Lots of places to sit or explore. Friendly, knowledgeable service.

Great place for kids to have some outdoor fun. I have driven by so many times and did not realize what this place was. Staff are very friendly and place is very clean.

I went here with my husband and mother-in-law yesterday. We had such a great time! It was very relaxing. We lost track of time and realized we had spent almost 4 hours there! The girls were very knowledgeable. It was impressive! It's a really cute spot for the whole family. I loved meeting the goats, Jasper and Agate, too. 10/10 highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Never knew this place existed - so glad we found it! Took our daughter and a friend today, we all had a blast. Got a HUGE bucket (it was her birthday celebration) and both kids left with bags FULL of gemstones). Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely visit again.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! Great costumer service, especially Rachel, the staff here is so kind and friendly and takes their time to answer any questions you have. I like this place, my daughter enjoys it. The girls on staff are joyous and happy, and stop and talk to the kids and point out rock's which is a HUGE plus, and they remember us, and sometimes show customer loyalty appreciation in small ways. You guys are great, and I and my Daughter and wife truly appreciate you guys and your excellent enthusiasm. It's more then customer service, it's making everyone just have a genuine pleasant day and memory which is better then anything to a child. 🙂 Thanks for the memories.

My family and I had so much fun looking through our buckets for gems and figuring out what we found. Our youngest kids loved the goats and the play areas, too!
