What a misnomer!! I was scheduled for an audition last week. As a potential member of the worship team (Mesa campus) I came thoroughly prepared (musically, mentally, in proper attitude and especially spiritually) for this audition. Beforehand, I submitted all and everything required of me (performance samples, brief personal description and references) on time as requested of me by their worship "leader". I was punctual to the core in all the required sections, even before my supposed audition. But once I arrived, I can honestly state that I have never been treated with such disdain, disrespect and contempt. 1st of all I was instructed to be present at 6pm. I was there by 550pm and that rehearsal started at 630pm sharp. 1st red flag, actual rehearsal didn't start until 740pm. 2nd red flag, I now truly believe the worship "leader" had no genuine desire for me to even be there. When I told him I already had my wireless mic ready to connect (of which he instructed me to bring to the audition) he then informed me he had no intentions to connect me to their house sound system at all. I couldn't understand his reasoning for this change as this was a huge stage and large auditorium. All the other instruments (bass, lead and rhythm guitars, and the drum set) were appropriately mic'ed. As a result these instruments were loud over the sound system that drowned me out. 3rd red flag, I was instructed by the worship "leader" to sit in the auditorium side and wait for me to be officially called up to perform (audition) with the band. By 815pm, I realized I was being played for a fool. Since 6pm I had been on time and was more than prepared for this audition. I then tried to pack my instruments and leave quietly. I was noticed by the worship "leader" and didn't even ask why I was leaving. Up to this point in time I haven't been contacted by their "leader" for a kind and reasonable explanation, a responsible and respectful apology or even a simple "thanks for showing but we don't need you". This was by far a complete waste of my time and effort. All this could have been avoided if at the very first of contact their worship "leader" would have just simply and politely informed me he was not interested in auditioning an older and well experienced Sax/Flute player.

City of Grace is a wonderful Church. We proclaim the Holy Bible as the living Word of God and Jesus Christ is the risen Son of God. We believe He died on the Cross ✝️ for the sins of the world and all who believe in Him are saved. All are welcomed and loved at City of Grace. The Pastors and staff are amazing and the worship music is powerful! Come and see!

We had not been here in 4 years (during our last visit to AZ). Formerly Hillsong Church, now under a new name. Still great worship, very good teaching from the pastor. Still feel very welcomed. It was the Easter service and had activities for the congregation and kids after church under a hit and sunny sky. From what I hear, they are very active in the community. This would be a church I would consider if I lived in AZ. I highly recommend this place if worship. You will not be disappointed.

Visited my daughter who lives in Mesa, and we were able to go to Hillsong. Such a wonderful experience! Much larger scale than any churches around where I live, but the worship was awesome, almost concert-like. Met a sweet lady named Mary who came and introduced herself to my younger daughter and myself as we waited for the rest of the family to join us. In response to a review that said the church is not racially diverse, this church was quite diverse on my visit, a wonderful example of unity. There was a focus on fostering and adoption, and I saw the real servant heart of this church. I love that they are working so hard in this area. The pastor had a great sermon that hit home with me. Overall, I felt blessed to have been able to worship my God and Savior at this church!

My life had changed INCREDIBLY since I started attending and reconcile with God, I also attend to Fridays service, CR. So grateful I had literally made the turn to attend CR my first time, I have seen so many JESUS victories restoring souls, Iam one of them. They also have online service and the app, in case you need it, YOU REALLY WILL BE WELCOME THERE!

They are hypocrites, all they want is money and they manipulate people. Watch the Docu series Hillsong A Megachurch Exposed. It's not a real church, churches like that need to be exposed and dismantled. They will never see me or my money again........

I highly recommend City of Grace Church. Everyone here is friendly. The church is non-denominational and ALL are welcomed. They also offer Spanish translation headphones (if needed). I've felt the words of pastor Crist & his wife through the lord for over a decade. I cried through the songs on days when times were tough while lifting my hands high to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I bowed my head and prayed for so so many people throughout this time. So grateful to the pastors and amazing people here we are always welcomed and remembered by name. If you are looking for a new church home or you are in need of spiritual uplifting please come try the services. Every Sunday at 10 AM. WELCOME HOME. Amen. πŸ™β›ͺ

First time I have been to this location in Mesa. I love it and I am going to call it home. I just moved here July 9th, 2023, and have been visiting different churches, and this one seems like a good one. I also visited their Phoenix Church location, and you have to at least visit that church one time or more because of the people there and the architecture of the church. I was utterly in awe! Although I have not officially met Pastor Terry and his wife Judith. I watched several videos on YouTube and found this pastor to be authentic and truly care about the church. The praise and worship at both locations is top-notch. It is contemporary christian music with live bands to help usher in God's presence. If you are looking for a church to call home, then give City of Grace a try and experience the warm and welcoming people at either campus and the uncompromised Word of God being preached.
