Outstanding food tour. Jessica and Matt went out of there way to make our night. They accommodated a 30 people group!

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a food tour in Scottsdale, Arizona, led by the amazing guide, Kyle. I must say, it was an unforgettable gastronomic adventure that deserves nothing less than a perfect 5-star rating! From the moment we met Kyle, his enthusiasm and knowledge about the local food scene were evident. He had a knack for selecting the most remarkable culinary spots, ensuring that we experienced the best that Scottsdale has to offer. Our tour encompassed a diverse range of cuisines, and Kyle's expertise allowed us to indulge in an incredible variety of flavors. We started our journey with some delectable sushi, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Kyle's recommendation exceeded expectations, showcasing the freshest ingredients and delicate combinations that delighted our palates. His knowledge of sushi and its cultural significance added an educational element to the experience, making it both enjoyable and informative. Moving on, we ventured into a charming tea house where Kyle introduced us to the art of tea tasting. He guided us through a selection of teas, explaining their origins, brewing techniques, and unique characteristics. It was a serene and enlightening interlude, allowing us to appreciate the nuances of tea while savoring its soothing qualities. Next, we were treated to a delightful surpriseā€”a stop at a local pizzeria renowned for its authentic, wood-fired pies. The aroma alone was irresistible, and the taste surpassed all expectations. Kyle's choice of toppings and crust styles showcased his deep understanding of pizza craftsmanship. We savored each bite, savoring the perfect balance of flavors and textures. Throughout the tour, Kyle also introduced us to some excellent libations. From carefully selected wines to locally brewed beers, he curated a selection that perfectly complemented the dishes we enjoyed. We had the opportunity to indulge in the art of pairing, enhancing our culinary experience even further. It's worth mentioning that, as the tour progressed, the convivial atmosphere and Kyle's infectious enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. We laughed, shared stories, and bonded over our love for great food and drink. However, it's important to note that responsible alcohol consumption is crucial, and participants should always drink in moderation to ensure their safety and well-being. Kyle's expertise, professionalism, and genuine passion for food and drink made this tour an absolute delight. He expertly guided us through Scottsdale's culinary landscape, sharing fascinating insights and stories along the way. His ability to create a seamless and engaging experience, while ensuring we sampled a variety of flavors, was truly commendable. In conclusion, if you're looking for a remarkable food tour experience in Scottsdale, Arizona, I wholeheartedly recommend Kyle as your guide. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and impeccable taste will take you on a gastronomic journey you won't soon forget. From sushi to tea, pizza to wine and beer, every moment with Kyle was a delight. Thank you, Kyle, for an unforgettable adventure

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations for food stops, very nice guy. However, I did not feel like the tour was worth the amount of money I paid for ($99), and it would have been nice for the tour guide to have joined in conversation, or initiated at times (especially for those traveling solo) and not just stand to the side and watched us all eat. We also only had what felt like sample size amounts, which I get you aren't going to get whole meals, but for the amount of stops that we made you would have thought you felt like you were getting your fill. Overall it was a fun, different experience, but not worth the money in my opinion.

We went on the Sunday afternoon tour in Old Scottsdale. It was very well put together and organized. Our tour guide Mitchell was in training, so the owner tagged along as well. All the stops were prepared for us with our tables, food, and drinks ready. The historic commentary was fascinating. The places they took us to were local favorites and we probably would never have known about them otherwise. We enjoyed them immensely! Thanks for the fun afternoon!

What a great experience. This was our first time, and it was totally worth it. Our tour girl was fantastic, sooo friendly!!! The food and drinks were very tasty. Recommendation - When we booked online, we were asked if we were celebrating anything, and we said yes and provided information. Half of the group was celebrating something; maybe sharing that information ahead of time with the tour guide would make it more personable. Thank you for a great memory.

the guide was great , liked her stories and info and suggestions. truthfully was not impressed with the food options at any of the places besides the pizza - which was very good. We had a great time even tho it was the 1st 91 degree day this year. I will say the portion size exceeded what I usually see on a food tour and really enjoy it when the owners come and share their story or explain their food options.

I got invited to do the Phoenix Taste It tour as part of a Christmas party. I had no idea what to expect other than the fact that we would be eating and drinking at different places downtown. Can I just say that after the 3 hour tour was complete I was hoping to be stranded on the island. Jennifer, our guide, was amazing! She took us to so many places and told us the history behind the restaurants, buildings we walked by, and all the secret places many people don't know about. For example, did you know the Valley Bar has a hidden library or the story behind the images displayed at the bar? Did you know Hanny's restaurant has a bunch of creepy dolls one the bottom level in which some people have witnessed ghost activity? This tour was much more than eating and drinking (which might I add was incredible)! I would highly recommend this tour and can't wait to do it again. It's perfect for a date night, family outing, or even a work get together. My only suggestion is come hungry!

We took part in the Taste Tour in Old Scottsdale the end of March. It was a great experience. Our guide, Sarah, was knowledgable about the area and brought a real sense of enjoyment to the experience. All of the restaurants, family owned and farm-to-table friendly, provided excellent tasting choices and great beverage choices. The whole experience was super!

I have been on many food tours over the years in the US and Europe. We went with a small group on the Old Town Scottsdale Food Tour. They had never been on a food tour before and did not know what to expect. I told them how much fun they were and how much you can learn about the area from your guide. By the end of the tour, we all felt that we could have gone on the tour without the James who was our guide. He basically just led us to each of the places that we were stopping at. We did not learn anything about Old Scottsdale. We felt that we could have gone to each of our stops on our own and taken our time. The tour was very rushed.

  • 5/5 Kelli H. 2 years ago on Google
Kyle did a great job of giving a relaxing tour with amazing food. He allowed us to join the experience and I did not feel rushed at any of the locations. He had good history with interesting facts.

Great variety of places and stops, all with tasty bites and sips. Iā€™ve lived in Scottsdale for a long time and we still went to places I had never been. The tour guide Kyle was friendly and knowledgeable, and even navigating through a couple of cloud bursts of drenching rain, he kept the attitude light and fun, and it was a great day.

This was an amazing experience for all 7 of us on a girls outing. We tasted food and drinks that we probably never would have on our own and we will definitely be back to some of the restaurants we visited. The walking wasnā€™t much at all since we had frequent stops. Noah was awesome!

Had a great time on the Food Tour with Kyle despite a pouring rain interrupting us several times. The food was great and bountiful!! Kyle even returned and brought us back umbrellas at one point!

My husband and I had a great time on our walking food tour in Scottsdale. Our guide, Kyle, was fun, professional, and shared lots of great info about the town and the various restaurants. All the stops were delicious! We were so full after our tour that we skipped dinner!

A lot of good food, drink, and fun learning about Scottsdale, AZ. I live in this town and saw and tasted it in new ways. Our guide was helpful and really knew her way around, making the experience easy for those on the tour. Would bring friends next time and do it again.

The taco tour was a blast and a great way to try a variety of restaurants. Our tour guide Noah offered some history about Old Town along the way. Would recommend this tour.

It was so fun. We have been on a couple food tours. Itā€™s always a fun way to see and taste a new city. Often the establishments are ones I would not normally dine at, but end up loving them. Love the tour of the town and the history shared. Great time!!!

We booked the Scottsdale Taco Tour given Taste it Tours, what an amazing and unique experience. First off, the entire tour would be not have been as enjoyable if it wasn't for our super friendly and outstanding guide Noah. Second, the food was amazing. Each stop offered something different and each one was delicious. No one in our group had a negative thing to say about any of the food that we sampled. It was an experience I would highly recommend anyone trying. It's a chance to taste truly local and authentic cuisine. As a side note and a heads up.....this tour will fill you up...go hungry. I recommend eating light before you take this tour.

James was phenomenal! Very knowledgeable about the area, gave us time to enjoy each location and did a great job at keeping on track during the tour. 10/10 would recommend Special mention to Tara! I had a conflict with my date and time and not only did she take the time to reach out and offer different options but followed up to ensure there were no further issues. Overall would book with them again!

My wife signed us up for the Taste it at our in Gilbert for our 13 year wedding anniversary. Let me tell whomever reads this that we had an amazing time. Jessica our guide was amazing, she was very knowledgeable of the Gilbert history and also had a great lineup of restaurants that we tried. My wife and I highly recommend this tour. We are looking for a time we can do the next one. Thank you for a fun and memorable afternoon Taste it Tours.

Great food tour in Old Town Scottsdale but fair warningā€¦.come hungry and pace yourself! So much food! Maggie, our tour guide, was amazing and above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered!

We did a food tour of Scottsdale AZ with James on November 11th. James was a great guide with lots of insight on the food restaurants and Scottsdale too! We live in Illinois and spend a lot of time in Scottsdale, but James introduced to a few places we didnā€™t even know about and will go back to soon! Thank you James!

We had a great afternoon of food and Scottsdale culture. Our tour guide James was informative and friendly. He had stories to tell, and interesting facts about Arizona and Scottsdale that I didnā€™t know, and I have lived in the state for over 20 years. James also made sure we were looked after at each stop. It was a fun experience so I intend to try one of the other tours!

  • 5/5 mark g. 7 months ago on Google
Great and fun tour with James. Lots of great information about old town Scottsdale. Great selection of food you wonā€™t leave hungry. We have been on food tour where the guide and restaurants were terse. Everyone knows James and treated the group first rate. Highly recommend.

Had a great time with Kyle as our tour guide. Was surprised to find we were his 1st tour group. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. All of the restaurants were good and the portions were very generous.

Great tour! Jessica the tour guide/owner was informative and funny! Really enjoyed the mix of Thai, Mexican, Italian, and British food on the tour. Definitely would recommend. Also appreciated that the drinks were included in the food tour.

Donā€™t wait as long as some of us did to take this tour! Our group consisted of all local friends who typically donā€™t get the opportunity to gather often. In addition we got to meet another couple who joined our tour and we all had a great time. There are so many great elements of this tour. One of the best is learning about all the hiding gems in Downtown Phoenix. The opportunity to visit 5 great downtown culinary hotspots and sample (good Portions) some of their best food and drinks was exciting and all during 1 Sunday afternoon. It was like ā€œspeed diningā€ and the amount of time allotted at each location was perfect. Great Food, Friends, and Tour Guide! Thank YOU Taste It Tours! We will back to see you again soon! What a great experience and fun Sunday afternoon on the town!

I have taken two "Taste It Tours" and I honestly am ready for my third asap. As soon as I knew Taste It Tours existed I knew that it was something I had to do. A food tour is what my family and I joke about doing every time we visit a new city so when I realized there was an organized tour I could take them on in Phoenix I signed us all up. The first tour we took was the day tour which was a blast. Not only did we get to try some new, unique, local eateries but learned about the history of downtown Phoenix at the same time. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and the food was amazing. My favorite stop was Fair Trade Cafe which I have already visited at least 3-4 times since the tour. The evening tour was just as great with even more amazing restaurants to check out. I was even more impressed with the menu/drink samplings and restaurant choices this go around. There was more of a focus on the food & drink versus the history which was a nice change from the day tour. Overall I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and everyone that loves food & wants to learn more about great local restaurants. In addition I would suggest you go for the $10 drink samplings since it only adds to the fun! The Taste It Tour Team knows what they are doing and has done their research to provide the customers with the highest quality experience. Can't wait to check out their new tours!

This is a very fun activity for a small group, large group or if you are just looking to explore, eat good food, learn a little about the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas and make new friends. You will definitely get your belly filled with awesome food so make sure you come hungry. I have been on several food tours because when I have visitors in from out of town, my guest always want to go. It has become a highlight of many visits. I have a group coming out this fall from the Midwest to visit and they have already told let me know that I need to get tickets for the Scottsdale tour!

A true knowledgable and fun dining experience. Great food. Able to try many menu selections and enjoy multiple restaurants in Downtown Phoenix. A tour I would take again.!

  • 5/5 Kimberly N. 10 years ago on Google
Even though I have lived in Phoenix for over 10 years, I found the tour a wonderful experience. First off, you will visit locally owned restaurants that are unique with very tasyty food. I was full after visiting 5 restaurants. The food portions was just enough. Also the historical information is interesting. Even though I knew some of the information of the places we passed, I still learned something new. The walk wasn't bad at all, but I recommend comfortable shoes. This has peaked my interest and I plan to try other food tours.

Amazing! Highly recommended. Went for a visit to Phoenix to see my grandma and looking for something meaningful to do. Took the Old town Scottsdale tour and it was perfect! The tour guide was so accommodating and thoughtful to my grandmother who was a little slower keeping up. Got so full on great food and great drinks, and local history. Definitely a must do! Will be looking for food tours everywhere I go now.

Absolutely loved it! Would be a great experience for any age group; old or young. Jack was a fantastic tour guide. He did a great job of providing interesting facts about down town Phoenix, the food we were eating, and he also answered any and all questions anyone in the group had. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone looking for a new way to experience downtown Phoenix. Taste it Tours was also very accommodating, we ended up being a bit late for the first restaurant and made it just in time to walk with the group to the next one. There was a wide variety of food. Authentic mexican tacos at Squash Blossom, Divine Brushetta and pasta at The Strand (located right by the US airways centre), tasty authentic Thai at Basil Thai, pastries and tea at The CafƩ AND a very unique tasting experience at Urban Olive Oils & Balsamic (would definitely recommend going here to anyone who is looking to learn something new and tasting some AMAZING oils and balsamic.) Great Bang for your buck. Request Jack is you can!

Taking the Scottsdale Waterfront Food Tour was a very fun way to spend an afternoon with visiting family from out-of town. Just went on the Waterfront Tour and it was fantastic! Jessica was knowledgeable, energetic and lots of fun! The food was delish! Kyle was a great tour host. I have lived in Arizona for nearly 15 years and learned lots of new information during the walking tour about the area and the places we visited. The food was tasty and was enough to satisfy our appetite. Would definitely do it again.

This was my first time in Scottsdale AZ. Our tour guideā€™s name was Jessica. She was very personable and knowledgeable about Scottsdale. She even stayed around after the tour was over and shared more information based on general questions about the city. I truly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone willing to try it!

Fun walking tour of Old Town Scottsdale with a good mix of authentic Mexican tacos and Tex-Mex style. I love that they have a non-drinkers price; I'm not a big tequila drinker so it was nice to get a little discount for that.

This tour was super fun! Our tour guide Delaney even made special arrangements for me as far as no meat (only chicken), I really appreciated her for that. She was very informative and shared lots of history with us along the way, and she had a great personality. The food was delish, the drinks were great! I would admit we walked a little bit more than I expected, but it wasnā€™t strenuous by any means. I would definitely recommend.
