Be warned they don’t have a janitor so the bathrooms are rarely cleaned they are constantly out of towels every month my advice if you do have to come here bring a towel as a spare if I had a car I would easily go to another EŌS where they value their members keeping them open I will be looking for a new gym soon. They can send me to collections when that time comes because they make it a hassle to cancel the contract. The ladies have horrible attitudes in the night and one lady in the morning flirts with all of the guys especially her colleagues she’s young you won’t miss her because there might be a chance when you get there that no towels will be available since she can’t be bothered to do her job

If you like unfriendly front desk peons and an over booked gym that smells like sewage 90% of the time. Then this is the gym for you. Seriously tho, look elsewhere, somewhere, anywhere but here. Oh and not to mention exposed outlet covers and hazards riddled throughout the "gym" Added note: Ex trainers of this gym use this facility as their training offsite people. She's rude and used multiple machines at a time during peak hours. She's terrible

Only reason I am giving it 2 stars and not 1 is because my trainer for my welcome workout was great and she really tried to make me feel comfortable in a place a hadn’t been at in years. While in the middle of a workout we were rudely interrupted in mid session by what I believe is some sort of manager named Bryant. He spoke with my trainer in which I don’t believe was a too friendly way. He really put a damper in my workout as he took many valuable minutes/ made me feel unwelcome and that my time didn’t matter. I would not get a training session at this location again to just not deal with this man and the fear of not taken as a valuable costumer because I do not fit into the “typical” beauty standard as he is VERY welcoming to those very slim/ women. We all start somewhere and I just want to feel just as welcomed as those women do.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR PERSONAL TRAINING! Unless you want a new trainer every 2 weeks who will then want to reassess you and waste your time. This drains your motivation and stamina! THEY HAVE HIGH TURNOVER! The trainer tell you the scoop when they are leaving. They don’t pay the trainers well so they leave to survive. You are locked into a contract and can’t break it unless you move away or have medical issues. Do yourself a favor and hire your own trainer. Pay per appointment and let them come in as a guest. I am so disappointed in this service. The gym itself is convenient and top notch. The fitness training is what I am reviewing. Do not fall for the HARD unrelenting and obnoxious sales pitch! Say, no! and walk away FREE!

I went in trying to see the facility and the employees were all gathered together looking at something on a call phone. I asked if they had a brochure and they didn't and they walked away. I waited another 10+ minutes before an employee came back and he asked me rudely "what else do you need?" I asked if I could at least get a tour and he pointed his finger to the upstairs and said look for yourself. I walked upstairs and the gym looked good. When I came back to the reception desk to find prices I waited another 10 minutes before the same employee asked me "what now - I'm busy" So I left. Joined mountainside fitness an hour later after having a great tour and experience.

I’ve been working out at this location for a little over a year. The actual location is small but pretty good. My low score review here is for the personal training. I just had a terrible experience with multiple trainers. They all seem to have the mentality of “beat your body up until you lose weight.” I am a hard worker and have lost about 80 lbs on my own, so I know my limits. Multiple of these trainers pushed me too far, to the point I almost passed out and told me I was making excuses when I said I couldn’t lift a certain load. I’ve always loved working out, and they made me dread it. I didn’t see more results than when I worked out on my own, either. I did appreciate how they helped me with proper form, but it wasn’t worth how miserable the workouts were. They seriously need to organize their cancellation process. I went in person to get rid of my contract and was told I had to pay a couple more months but then it would be cancelled. It never cancelled, which I didn’t notice til a couple months later, so I called to do cancel and was told only the manager could do that but they would leave him a note. A few days went by and nothing happened, so I called again and was told I never asked to cancel. The manager over the phone was extremely combative telling me that the man I described I had spoken to in person about cancelling didn’t exist and that I never asked over the phone to cancel. Even if there was a miscommunication, there was no reason for him to be so combative. I also told him I had a terrible experience with the trainers, and he didn’t even ask to hear what that was. He just said, “okay, well it’s cancelled now.” Overall, this was just a terrible experience and I regret ever wasting money on this service.

Steam room is still broken after 8 months and is taped closed with red duct tape. If I were Laquita Gooden (the supposed owner) I would drywall over the steam room and take it off the website. It is SOOO disappointing to walk 3 miles in the cold only to find how much EOS really cares about its customers.... they don't

This gym does not open on time at 6 am on the weekends. For professionals that run on tight schedules, this is unacceptable. According to several members this is the 3rd consecutive weekend. Overall, unprofessional due to this issue. Perhaps they need to hire more reliable staff. Also, facilities do not regularly refill automatic wipe dispensers resulting in unclean equipment. Likely more worth it for everyone that lives downtown to consider another gym despite a longer commute.

The most annoying scam of a fitness club I've ever experienced. I first came in to EoS in mid-April for a free first week. The first day I came in, no salespersons were available to get me set up, so I had to wait for an hour before the front desk associate told me to "just go work out, we can take care of it tomorrow." The next day I came in, the exact same thing happened. That evening, I received a promotional email for a free first month, so I decided to hop on that opportunity. The day AFTER that, I came in early to sign up. Again, no salesperson was available, so I had to wait. Some others came in after me to sign up and were also forced to wait. Once a salesperson finally decided to show up, they immediately started working with the other two people that had arrived after me. I waited for an hour before finally asking the person at the front desk "can I just work out first and sign up afterwards?" They said it was fine, so I did. After my workout, surprise surprise, there was no salesperson in sight, so I had to wait another hour. Finally the salesperson I had been waiting for grabbed me, only to set me up with a front desk associate who was obviously new, but managed to get me signed up. Rather than getting a "free first month," though, I still had to pay a fee or two. A month went by and, for whatever reason, their payment processor failed to charge the card I had on file. I'm trying to cancel my membership due to the horrible service, re-closure of gyms due to COVID-19, and because I'm moving out of state, but I'm having some problems. When I called the location, they told me to use their third-party website to cancel. When I used the website, it told me to call the payment processor's phone number. When I called the payment processor's phone number, it made me wait 15 minutes, only to have the representative tell me that she couldn't cancel my membership while my account has an outstanding payment and that I need to call the location. They want me to pay $25 for the monthly membership, $50 for an annual fee, $20 something dollars because they failed at processing my card, and another $25 for NEXT MONTH'S DUES because it falls within 30 days of when I want to cancel. I'm not paying $120 to cancel a membership that I can't even use because the governor is shutting down fitness clubs again. Bloody ridiculous.

Worst gym experience of my life. They reel you in with sweetness and kindness and offer you all kinds of nice things while talking you into getting a gym membership plan and once you become a part of their family they literally treat you like you don’t even matter I called to request a change in a trainer and the front desk (this is now the third time that they reply to me it was just attitude) and quote for “they will get to me when they get to me”. They put a hold on my account without letting me know that there would be a charge for holding my account and they don’t even want to give me a refund for that. I have called the front desk over three times and every time I get an attitude. Don’t waste your money or time here.

This gym is crammed and EXTREMELY hot. Felt like I was in a sweat shop. I much prefer the EOS fitness gyms that aren't this location. Sucks because I love closest to this one now. If they could do something about the excruciating heat it would be doable.

My only problem is the Cleanliness its super drity and the members dont clean up after themselves. People workout with equipment and people don't put things back. The barbells are super warm out. Its super frustrating when u want to use a machine or rack and the members are sitting there taking selfies. The squat rack Filthy LOOK at the floor they've never even wiped it or swept it. I can't wait for 19th Avenue Baseline but I pray that the cleanliness is like planet fitness. Planet Fitness may lack on some of the equipment but the cleanliness is amazing and people are even cleaner. This location needs to get closed down its gone down hill. Some of the members are super rude as well as the trainers save your money there are better locations and gyms that offer the same prices and amenities trust me.

Best description is "Messy". Layout of the equipment has no flow to it. Wherever they had space to put a machine, they did. Locker rooms were pretty dirty, and beat up. Equipment was rusted and all the pads were cracked. Biggest red flag was that there is a hole in the floor in the free weight area. No cone, no repair, just a whole in the floor. They do validate parking for members whether you use the gym or not. Almost worth the membership just for that perk.

Not a horrible gym by any stretch but limited amount of equipment, a lot of broken equipment and the place definitely needs some maintenance. Holes in the floor, broken equipment, etc. Locker rooms were nice and staff is very friendly. I doubt I’d come back to this location again but with a little TLC this could really be a nice gym.

I came to Physiques Gym looking to make a permanent change in my health. I came off several years of extremely poor health and significant weight gain. I followed a specific diet in early 2017 and lost 45 lbs. I then needed an action plan to get stronger, more agile and leaner. LA Fitness and that adolescent scene no longer worked for me. I wanted results, accountability, discipline and in the company of like-minded individuals. If you want something you've never had you have to do something you've never done. From the moment I met Cara and Craig I knew I found the right gym and lifestyle. They both care about your goals and will push you to achieve them. They have created a culture of clientele that mirrors their commitment and seriousness. If you are wanting to see real results and are looking for trainer/s who will push you out of your comfort zone then Physiques Gym is the perfect choice. I am able to easily schedule my workouts and the 9am weekday class has become like a 2nd family. Quit daydreaming and making intentions. RUN to Physiques now, get honest about where you are and where you want to go and get started.

They condition both your body and mind which aides you in achieving fitness goals you've only imagined. This is the "PG Experience"! This is the "PG Difference"! #builtbyphysiques

Deleted my existing review to add a new one. This gym has gotten worse with time. Repairs on equipment’s take forever and we’ve been waiting for a water bottle fountain repair for two weeks now. The men’s restroom upstairs smells horrific every time I go in that it almost makes me sick. Towels are only available half the time I come. Most of the paper towel dispensers don’t work or are empty most of the time, therefore discouraging people from cleaning their equipment when done. Otherwise a good gym, but not as good as it used to be. Please do better.

I was very excited to go to this gym, they made it sound like they would assist, and guide me as I have been recovering from lung cancer. They said they would weigh me, check my bone density and body mass so I could track my progress. As soon as I wouldn't sign up and agree to pay $88 biweekly they rushed me out and did even weigh me

Shady charges. I got a billion offers to start up a membership with the one I chose being 20 cents to start and 30 days free. So I read into the fine print and it stated that at 14 days you'd be charged 49 for annual whatever fee, I accepted that and started the membership. Like clockwork I was charged after 14 days. A whopping 70 bucks. Clearly charging me for a month's services after just 14 days. I live very paycheck to paycheck and this unforseen expense just took nearly half my food budget for the week. This wasn't what I agreed to. The warnings about pricing are real, someone with a lot of money may not notice but this kind of thing cripples me and takes me hopes of obtaining my fitness goals and crushes them. I'll likely go with LA fitness as I get a discount through work. I really love the facility and staff I've come into contact with. It's a shame.

This place has really fallen off. I have been an eos member for several years and can say this location is basically the worst I've ever been to. There's an endless list of issues, but the latest and most unacceptable is NO WATER. Yes, a "vip" club where you can't even fill up your water bottle. When I went downstairs to find out how I was supposed to get water, one of the employees told me "You can't really be upset though". Really? Great customer service. I was pretty disappointed with no towels, then after being talked into upgrading my membership in order to use the massage beds, I find there's always 1 if not 2 out of order. But NO WATER FOR A WEEK NOW??? JESUS.

EOS begins its mission statement by saying “Our mission is to be accessible to anyone and welcoming to everyone...” Actions are louder then words EOS and your actions on 9/1/2020could have never been further from this truth. I made my appointment, as I have any other time. My niece, as always, accompanied me. During this time of grief and stress we look forward to our one hour break and try to fill those moments in the most productive and mentally healthy ways possible. Upon arrival we were “greeted,” by Jazmin, and ruthlessly turned away. With each question I asked Jazmin continued to be cold and snarky. We never received any real response one would give another human being. I did not want my niece to be subjected any longer and left. While walking out Jazmin laughed and continued to patronize us. In the days following I have continued to receive calls from “people” claiming to be with EOS but never identifying their position with EOS. Ultimately ending in them stating my membership has been canceled. Has it really been cancelled, I’ve yet to be able to confirm. It is sad to see in a time when comradery and civil justice is so important that an organization, especially leading their mission statement speaking of welcome and inclusiveness have been treated in such a ruthless and calas manner. Sincerely, Still no answers!

Physiques Gym is an excellent and effective gym. I am an IT professional who has been wandering through your typical LA fitness style places throughout my life without any real aim or goal other than to just be somewhat active. My time at Physiques has taught me that it's important to have a fitness goal, and a clear path to that goal. The training is hard, but it's efficient. Trainers Cara and Craig really take the time to tailor a nutrition and workout plan for every member. As a heavier guy with prior injuries and who has never really been athletic, I was hesitant to step into an intense environment like this. I am happy to report that I've been pushed, encouraged, met great people, and have seen real results. After nine months, I'm the strongest I've ever been, my wardrobe is different, and really, my life has changed for the better. I'd encourage anyone who is science-minded, understands that there are no gimmicks to getting in shape, and who wants an encouraging environment that teaches you how to work hard and efficiently in the gym, to come by and check it out.

In March of 2017 I walked into Physiques Gym with a goal. I wanted to compete in a bodybuilding competion not only did I want to compete I wanted to WIN! With my hardwork and dedication and Craig’s and Cara’s passion and expertise I was able to take home 2 first place trophies at the Arizona Open 2017. If your looking for a gym to reach your fitness goal, be in an intense environment and be surrounded around greatness I would highly recommend this gym. This place is an guaranteed life changer.🙂

I am so grateful that I found this place! I have been working toward my fitness/bodybuilding goals for 5 years now. Often I've felt like I was floundering around, hitting plateaus, never getting the right combination of work outs and diet. I have been absolutely unable to justify the expense of a trainer even though I knew it was what I needed. Then I found Physiques. Incredible! The trainers here are so invested in my success. No two workouts are ever the same. At the end of each I swear they must have been trying to kill me and... I LOVE IT! Never have I worked so hard and never before have I actually seen my body transform. They push me so hard, but with great care to safeguard against injury. I am able to go to them for diet and supplement advice. The training I get here is the full package. I couldn't ask for any better! Here's the kicker... . It's in the budget. This is the very best training bargain out there. You cant afford NOT to train with these superior people.

Physiques Gym has been one of my best decisions of my life. It doesn't matter if you are an everyday client or an extreme athlete. Craig and Cara help push and challenge you to be the best you can be. This is a place where you leave your excuses at the door and come to better yourself not just physically but mentally. There is no such thing as "Cant" and when they helped teach me that my overall body and mind has changed for the better. By far the best gym I have ever been too and the people there make the experience 120X better. LOVE THIS GYM and highly recommend.

I tried calling before hand for directions and instructions on where to park. A bit confusing on how to get to the gym. I parked in the underground garage. I showed up to this location for the first time, I tried to get a tour of the gym. All the staff members were with other guests. So I went upstairs and found an empty machine. Then left, at my car I realized I forgot to validate my parking ticket. The front desk person was very nice. I still wish I had a tour. Hopefully I'll get one when I go next time.

The only positive about this place is that it’s close since I live downtown. Otherwise, the selection of equipment is much worse compared to other locations. It is also usually very busy here which makes finding the equipment you want to use harder. This weekend, my personal items were stolen out of my gym locker while it was still locked. I was really shocked by this and lost my IDs and money. I don’t feel comfortable bringing anything to the gym anymore and I don’t feel like EoS has rectified this situation at all for me. It’s really unfortunate because I was hoping this location would be my main gym.

This five star review is for CHLOE ONLY. EOS is a hot mess. Long story short, the Tatum and Cactus location allowed a fraudulent charge to be added to my account. I tried to cancel my membership with the Cave Creek and Cactus location. And I've been having so many problems canceling my membership. They left information out, and that I was getting threats to be charged double. However, Chloe is the only competent person that works for the entire business, it seems. She took care of everything for me, she was kind, and she put up with my aggravation. Give this young lady a raise, or make her manager over the entire district. She has more brain cells than everybody else.

I have been hit up with fees galore (like 49.99 for capital improvements and 18.99 monthly) for a club that I can't even attend (I won't wear a mask as I think it's unhealthy to exercise with limited oxygen intake). Cancelling has been a nightmare. I think this is all pretty sleezy, morally wrong and unethical. But obviously nobody in management at EOS cares about their horrible reputation.

Lots of machines but needed to be maintained. For example of the three bikes on the gym floor one was missing a seat adjustment knob, one had a foot cage on the left and a pedal on the right, and only one bike was actually usable. Locker room and steam room were not maintained.

I have had an EOS fitness membership for over a year and I’ve never had as many issues as I had today. Ever since the COVID-19 occurred I have been making my reservations and wearing my mask. For the last couple months I’ve never had any issues. When I went in today at 11:00 AM there was a lady at the front desk that I’ve never seen before. She asked me if I had a reservation, and like always, I said I did. She then asked for me to show proof that it had a reservation which I’ve never been asked before. I told her I don’t have any proof and she told me that every time you make a reservation you get an email. I informed her that I’ve never once received an email when I made a reservation. She then insisted that I was lying and told me that I had to redo my reservation. As I was trying to redo my reservation another man came in with the same problem. She asked him to show proof he had a reservation and he told her he never received an email. For the next three people she did the same thing and they all said the same thing I did: we never received an email. As I was trying to get my reservation, which is very difficult because the app kept telling me I already had a reservation and I was unable to make another one, the staff apparently saw two of her friends who she just let go in without asking them if they had a reservation or not. I spent almost 15 minutes standing there trying to get into the gym that I pay monthly and yearly for. It got to the point that I just left. I felt as though the staff member was treating me, and the other people, unfairly and giving her friends special treatment. The whole situation is so frustrating I just got up and left and went to another location. Long story short, I didn’t have the same issues at this other gym as I had at the downtown one. I am so mad because I wasted my gas to go there and she made it more difficult than it needs to be. If these issues keep happening I will never go to EOS again and join a different gym because the membership isn’t worth 15 minutes of stress.

UPDATE 02/17/2020* A manager named "Edgar" (funny coincidence) called me and helped me resolve my issue. He did it professionally and quick. For that I gave four stars, would give them five if i never had the issue in the first place. But im very happy that they got back to me and helped me resolve it. As far as the gym itself, it was great when I went it. Never had an issue with that. ORIGINAL ISSUE* I have been loving the new gym at my apartment building. So I decided to cancel my membership. I called and this girl "Abby" answered, saying she could give me the number to cancel. It was a number full of ADS! Called back to check the number and confirmed with her that it was correct, it ended up being the same number full of ADS. Called one last time and asked for a manager, and she continues to ask me if i wanted the other number AGAIN. I got frustrated and simply said to call a manager. She puts me on hold, and just as i think im going to get someone on the phone; I'm sent to VOICEMAIL. How are you guys allowing this? Is this how you do business? I will be going tomorrow morning in person to CANCEL my membership.

Ashlei is the rudest! She should be cleaning toilets, not standing in the front dealing with customers! I went to cancel and she turned from smiling to rude and didn’t even give me a confirmation of cancel when I asked for it and then tacked in all sorts of charges! I asked for manager to speak to and she said she is the manager and I said well I know Edgar is also a manager and she said well he will be in 2 back to back meetings and maybe he will be available around 3:30pm. I doubt she’s the manager. Edgar was very nice and is in process of helping me get some of the fees waived.

Update: Feb 1st 2020 Thought I updated, but apparently not. This issue was resolved March 3rd 2019, when I called ABC Financial to cancel my account. It was cancelled immediately with no issues and I have not been charged a dime since. ? I noted someone responded most recently to my review but that was less than a month ago, obviously months after the last issue. Feb 22nd. 2019 DO NOT GO HERE! READ reveiws ABOUT ABC FINANCIAL, the company that handles EOS accounts. They are ruthless and greedy. The response to customers reviews are the same/ similar; "We are unable to locate your account.PLease provide 9 digit code"Trying to close an account here is impossible! Go TO LA FITNESS! Keeping it is worse because they now insist on no cash pay me but purposely delay automatic payment so they can charge customers late fees. After previous issues I call in or make payment in person days before yet every single month still, EOS attempts to charge me late fee. It is a trick. Managers & staff turnover rate is high and they are always clueless. I wouldnt want to work there either. Update: 6/22/18 Since I was quick to update when things went wrong, I must update what went right, thanks to manaager "Jay". Early Monday morning (6/11/18), I received a voicemail from Jay addressing my complaint from over the weekend. He explain where the mistake was made (on my part and EOS's part) and he also let me know steps he took fix the matter, as well as things I could do to ensure I did my part in the future. I was busy and did not call back, but the next day he called again trying to reach me. I did not make it up there until Thursday, and he was there to help me remain calm as he explained what was done and what would be done. In that I was satisfied, an because of that I am putting back on two stars for effort on behalf of EOS on their manager Jay for customer service and the ability to maintain customer relationship. Update: 6/9/18 Go to LA Fitness. Do not ever give them your checking account or debit card info. Pay cash. I have been having payment issue ever since I went to EOS.

nice facilities but no one wears their masks properly and staff doesn’t enforce it. Almost no one wears it over their nose or straight up just has it down around their neck. Staff does nothing about it - I’ve even seen them laughing and talking to people not wearing their masks

I was sent an email stating that when covid started I could cancel my membership. I opted to cancel however they started charging me again in august. I've called every month since august. Each time I'm told that they'll cancel the membership or that the manager would call me back. I was sure that I finally cancelled last month as I started getting "we miss you" emails however I was charged again last night. I called again and got the same run around. I actually caught the employee in a lie she said she'd get the manager then told me the manager wasn't there once they learned the specifics of my call. I'm going to have to issue a stop payment through my bank because of this incompetence. I'll also be reporting to the Better Business Bureau as well as the attorney general. Because as of now they've stolen over $100 from me and I haven't even been there in months.

I've been going to Physiques Gym for about 4 months now and I have to say this place is everything I was looking for. Cara and Craig are some of the most inspirational people in my life right now. From the moment I walked in the door I could tell everyone in this gym was serious about their goals. Seeing that my trainers are in top shape and practice what they teach to me means they are people I should be learning from. I knew before I settled on a gym that I had to do something different this time. I decided to check out Physiques Gym because of their group training oriented classes. The typical workout at my own pace just wasn't cutting it and I wasn't able to hold myself accountable long enough to see any worth while results. Not only that but not knowing what to do every time I went to workout was holding me back as well. Having an environment like Physiques Gym where there is a group session with a tailored workout is exactly what I was looking for. They've set me up on an excellent meal plan and I've already lost 20 lbs. My strength has gone through the roof and my over all outlook on working out has changed completely. I never realized how much I didn't push myself before or how much I was holding myself back because I thought I couldn't do it. Cara and Craig will push you past your limits safely and teach you how to continue doing so on your own. With all that being said, if you are looking to change your life for the better and you don't mind working for it, this is the place to be. Cara and Craig will push you and you will get better!

This gym has the best trainers and the best equipment. Craig and Cara most definitely had a major influence on me when I found them back in 2017. They answered all my questions honestly, and I love that hold nothing back when talking to you about your goals and what it will take go reach them. The workouts leave me sore as hell but also stronger. PG is a must.

I have been training at Physiques Gym under Craig Tinnelle and Cara Barnes. I absolutely love this place and the people here! What they have created is amazing! The results speak for themselves. Everyone at Physiques Gym has a success story. It is a friendly and professional atmosphere. They take the time to get to know what your goals are, they set you up for success, they train you with proper techniques, and they hold you accountable! Physiques is filled with all different types of people at all different fitness levels. This creates a unique environment that is supportive, motivating, and inspiring. I can’t say enough good things about Physiques Gym as you will be able to tell!!! Physiques Gym is more than a gym we are a family! When I came to Physiques I thought I was coming just to exercise, lose some weight, gain some muscle and maybe eat healthier. I have gotten sooo much more than that here! It’s been an entire lifestyle and mindset change for me. I have been at Physique’s for 4 months and have already done what I wanted to do plus gained so much more in the process. I would have never thought I would’ve wanted to come to a gym and gain anything but muscle! Here I have gained self confidence, I’m setting boundaries, I feel so much more relaxed and beautiful, I’m mentally much stronger and many areas of my life have changed. I’ve learned a lot about myself and how strong I actually am and that is the part that you don’t expect or even pay for! Craig and the other trainers are always there to support you! They walk the walk and talk the talk! Look at them!!! 💪🏾🏆🔥Craig believes in you when you may not even believe in yourself! Craig tells you what you need to hear no matter what! Craig is very perceptive as to whether you need to be pushed harder and also if you have something else going on or an injury and need to take a break for a day or two. Sometimes I think he has 10 sets of eyes because he can see everything that needs to be corrected and always makes sure you are doing the exercises properly to prevent injury. Chest up, shoulders back, neck straight, breathe, bend your knees, bend your back leg, open your eyes and arch your back are all words I have not heard from other trainers that I will never forget now that I have trained here. Craig is a coach, teacher, mentor, friend and sooo much more! Another surprise aspect is the friendships I’ve gained with others in group! Everyone is so supportive in group training and your fellow group members will hold you accountable and support you as well. Working in group training has been so rewarding because when you see others pushing themselves it makes you want to push even more! If a group setting is not what you want you can do one on one sessions too. If you prefer to work with a female coach Cara is awesome and the coach for you! In closing, I am telling you you get so much more then the best trainers you have ever worked with! You get personal coaching and you gain in so many other areas of your life. That aspect was a surprise and an awesome bonus and blessing for me at a rough point in my life. You will get pushed to new levels and learn to push yourself to new levels and get results faster and greater than what you ever have anywhere else! I am a Arizona Native and have been to at least 20 gyms in the greater Phoenix area over the last 47 years and Physiques Gym is the best gym in town hands down!!! Craig, Cara and C2 you have definitely changed my life and in the process you are also now changing the lives of the most important people to me my children! Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do! Now everyone reading this get your butt to Physiques Gym today and change your life too!

Physiques has been a game changer for me and my fitness goals. I’ve trained over the past 10 years at various gyms with other trainers however the skills that Craig Tinnelle, Cara Barnes and his son Craig II have put them above the others. The personal training program I have at Physiques is one of the best investments I’ve made in myself. I see and those that know me see the changes in my appearance and level of fitness. At Physiques I feel part of a family not just a member of a gym.

When I first walked into Physiques Gym, at 53yrs., I was a “skinny fat”,...a year and a half later, I won my first Body Building competition at the Felicia Romero western classic NPC show, in the 47+bikini division. Physiques Gym got me there!! Physiques Gym is set up for one’s success, starting with the owner and trainer, Craig Tinnelle and coach-trainer Cara Barnes. The heart and soul that these two put into this gym, is astounding. They provide extremely knowledgeable and safe training, sharing proper lifting techniques to “getting in the game “ with mental focus, etc. No two training sessions are alike....it’s always a new day at Physiques Gym...so much to gain! Physiques Gym far surpassed my expectations...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I have been training and weight lifting since 2011. Never have I met a gym with this level of passion. Craig and Cara are beyond phenomenal in there level of knowledge and technique. I’m currently an npc classic physique competitor. Since I’ve become a member of this gym, my level of motivation and drive has increased to a new level. They don’t just strive to train athletes, they strive to trainer winners. Thank you physiques gym!!

I absolutely love and miss the family at Physiques!!!! This group of trainers and trainees make fitness fun and fitness goals a reality. They truly want their clients to achieve the end goal set and do not play when it comes to meeting it! The facility allows for training hours most spots do not accommodate depending on any given situation!! The prices are not inflammatory and you will most certainly get above and beyond what you pay in comparison to other Phoenix gyms. I’m in Texas now and can only find the same cookie cutter run of the mill “do what I have to do minimally to keep her here” mentality!! I hate it! Do yourself a favor this new year and schedule time to meet the fabulous family at Physiques! You will not regret that decision! They have your back, always!!

Physiques Gym I would describe Physiques Gym as not only mine but your “Paradigm Shift” Paradigm shift "an important change that happens when the usual way of thinking about or doing something is replaced by a new and different way." a theory or a group of ideas about how something should be done, made, or thought about. It is a fundamental change in the basic concepts and experimental practices of a scientific discipline. From the Trainers to the individuals you work out with, the moral of cheering you on to completing your next set, to making sure your body formation is correct when you work any part of your body and this happens from the time you check in until the time you leave. In 3 short months my body has changed and I’m starting to love what I see in the mirror. I want to see what the best me looks like, Physiques Gym, well they’re my “Paradigm Shift”. I have never been a part of a Gym this unique. Craig and Cara will push you past your limits, well because let’s face it your standard of limits has got you nowhere, their standard will /Real Talk Real Results

Great scenery of downtown when working out in the day and night. Everyone is really cool. Word of advise: It gets crowded afterwork hours. Early mornings are less crowded but the people around you will motivate you through your workout. Sunday mornings are the very best to get some space to get a workout if it's too hot to hike outside.

Good commercial gym, mostly. The location I go to is a bit smaller than the rest and does not have enough squat racks and have zero bumper plates. So there is definitely room for improvements.

I love this gym, definitely the best gym in the downtown area. The Intek plates however, are the most infuriating things to load and unload. If they had all umax plates this gym would be perfect. Also another bench press and squat rack with bumper plates would be nice.

Do not do their personal training program! It might as well be a scam! The trainers themselves are not to blame whatsoever. I've had 2 trainers, both were great, but when my second trainer quit, I've been trying to cancel it, and I've been struggling with this for 2 months. I've reached out in person, over the phone, and even an Email. I even did a survey for them and mentioned how I wanted to cancel my PT and I was told that covid has taken a toll on the team and that all their trainers are back and ready to work. I'm happy their team is well and healthy, but I'm still trying to figure out what it had to do with canceling my PT.

Great gym and great location if you are in the downtown Phoenix area. There are plenty of equipment options and all maintained. I was able to get my leg workout done without noticing any issues. I see the trainers working hard to train their gym members. If you park in the Cityscape public parking garage, they offer a 3 hour parking validation so you have plenty of time to get your workout in and rest a little before walking back to your car. The staff greeted me with kindness and exit greeted me as I left. The staff are all smiles and they look like they love their jobs and that is the best energy to walk in the gym before your workout. My only reason for 4 stars is that I had to keep looking for a locker that actually locked. I tried 4 different lockers and they either don't rotate correctly for the lock to stay in or there are misaligned screws that prevents you from locking the door. I found one that worked but couldn't help but double check if my locker door was actually locked and safe. I did see a handful of members carry their gym bags to cable machines and leg machines which I understand if I have valuables with me. Overall, it is still a great gym, friendly and helpful staff members that will greet you with a smile, and a good variety of options for workouts especially if you plan to do cardio or free weights. Restrooms are clean. Just need a little maintenance on lockers but other that a great gym. I recommend this gym for any visitors in the downtown Phoenix area and plan to walk around Cityscape.

Love this gym! It's a bit smaller than many other EoS, but it's got a great vibe! You are right in the middle of downtown which is awesome. The cardio machines overlook the city so you can watch people go about their lives down below. I was here last night for an awesome workout and met one of their trainers, Erica. Awesome woman with an upbeat attitude! Perfect for the gym atmosphere!

Only gave 2 stars because I had to . It’s tough when the people work their say they can not refund your money when they didn’t hold up their end of the deal, damn near a scam for your money! I was not told about the $49.99 annual enrollment fee until they took it out of my bank account and when signed he said a $1 for the first FULL MONTH, them people took the money(26.99) out of my bank within the first 2 full weeks ahead of the scheduled date causing me to have insufficient funds in my bank fee's which now after they agreed to a full refund on late service fee he had moved it onto my next pay period which included the annual(+49.99) and another bill(25.00) then turning around and charged me $55.00 for this months bills (26.99) in addition to the late fee they said they would refund after already taking it out my account I had walked down there that day and they were refusing to pay the fee's they caused in the first place . Which he said he added a $25.00 credit so my December bill should or would be $1.99, if not majority rules I am going to cancel. I am on a fixed income & this gym has caused me nothing good, only problems and headaches. I’ve met a few good staff like my guy Trinidad, and a few good people who gym there. They’re the reason it went up to 2 stars. Because it would’ve been one, how bad they scamming people out of their money. I know me I better get your monies worth, workout and shower more than I work, spending that much. Lol

I just joined EOS downtown. I like the convenient location, but some of the equipment is dated and rusted. I’m surprised considering it’s considered a “signature” location. It would be great if they could upgrade and/or replace some of the equipment. Additionally, the area with the green turf could use a little work to make it more appealing. The tire machines look worn. I will check our other locations before I decide to cancel. I wish this location was better due to the fact I live downtown. Update: I’m increasing my review by one star based on the email response from the District Operations Manager, Tyger. He was quick to respond to my concerns in a kind and professional manner.

It’s nice enough, finding matching kettlebells is difficult if not impossible at this location. The massage chairs are broken most of the time so if you are looking into premium membership I’d skip it and save your money. A lot of the equipment needs updated: missing handles and knobs, weight decals rubbed off on a few cable machines. Good gym, but just get the basic membership if you can.

ITS A SCAM!!Worst Experience ever! They are running a scam. On the first day, I signed up for a premium gym membership and I got a free body scan. The fitness manager helped with the body e-scan and after that, he started explaining the numbers, I actually thought he was trying to help but later I realized he was just trying to sell a personal training plan. First, he told me it was going to cost 250$ bi-weekly I told him that it was way out of my budget then he insisted for 150$ plan and specially told me "I can cancel any time I want"- "I was told this multiple times". after 3 days of signing up, i wanted to cancel my plan so I called EOS downtown phoenix, They told me the fitness manager was not in the office, So I mailed him asking to cancel my membership, but he never reached out to me. After that, I was charged 150$ for no reason. The worst part is that no information about my personal training plan was given to me. I don't know who is trainer, I don't know when is my session... they just want to charge me without caring about anything else. Till now I have called them 10 times and mailed them once, but everytime fitness manager is not there or he is busy. PLEASE HELP ME!! ITS A SCAM!!

Look, I rarely write reviews. I am livid. I made multiple attempts prior to Covid19 to cancel my membership and kept getting the run around. I tore my ACL and was no longer able to obviously use this gym because of it. Then que Covid19 when they shut down everything and that includes any kind of communication. I relocated across the country to another state and NEVER received an email, phone call, nothing communicating to me that because AZ opened back up for business, I would begin getting charged again. I'm am 100% positive (as I had friends & old employees work for this company) that you can look up based on the member ID # when the last time I used this gym. I have had zero luck at getting a hold of anyone at this location with any kind of common sense.

I only worked out here once and i signed up for my membership at this location. I worked out and paid for top personal trainers at the EOS location on the 101 and rain-tree, they have excellent staff there that care and are willing to help. I understand issues are inevitable with billing and I’m generally a patient person when it comes to these things. My card was charged for a 150$ training that i did not do i called the raintree location and they took care of it right away which was excellent but for some reason they said i have to call the downtown location because thats where i got my membership if i want to make changes to it. I wanted to downgrade to the smallest membership because my needs changed. I workout in prescott now and only visit scottsdale a couple times a month. I didnt have a need for 25$ month membership just the 10$. I called the downtown location to explain my situation in the most polite and respectful way and i was responded to with blunt answers and essentially told to go f myself and that the only way to make these changes is to come talk to the manager in person myself. The staff at this location in no way show respect or care about loyal customers. The rain tree location called me back to finish resolving the mystery 150$ charge which was resolved by now and i told them what happened during my interaction with the down town location not expecting them to be able to do anything but they got the general manager to get this issue resolved for me proving that what i was told by staff at the downtown location was untrue and showed how unhelpful the downtown staff is. Overall i hope to never have to interact with anyone at this location again and I recommend you avoid this place. The rain tree location however is wonderful.

I rarely leave reviews, but this seems like the only way to get some follow up.. Against my better judgement and countless horror stories with friends, I opened a membership with this gym. This was pre-COVID and because it’s only a 5 min walk from my office, I decided to also get the personal training contract to meet some of my fitness goals. COVID rolls around and due to quarantine, they closed. With the closure came the freezing of all membership dues. Once they reopened (early/mid may or June), I called to get info on canceling as my trainer no longer worked here and I was actually able to find something more affordable (in addition to the fact that I don’t feel comfortable working out in a mask or being in close proximity for an activity that I can easily do from home). At that time, I was told a manager wasn’t available and they’d take my info to have them call back. I never received a call. I also reached out via the “contact us” form on their site with no response. About a month or so after that, they were forced to close again and apparently, reopened 8/15. Not only did I not receive a call back from the manager from my earlier inquiry, but I also did not receive an email stating that with the recent reopening, membership dues would resume. That said, I woke up this morning to a $180 charge from EOS. I immediately called to speak to someone (6:45am). The rep I spoke with was able to cancel my membership, but advised me that I’d have to speak with a manager to cancel the personal training since it was a separate contract. I was advised to call back around 8:30/9am when they were in the office. I call back @ 10:54am and am advised that the manager is in a meeting.. how convenient. They take my info AGAIN and promise me a call back when the manager is out of their meeting. 3pm rolls around and still no call. I call back at 3:07pm and am transferred to the manager’s extension and they don’t answer and I am forced to leave a voicemail.. how convenient again. I’ve been trying to speak to a manager about canceling this stupid contract since MAY. In 2020, canceling a membership should not be this difficult. I should be able to log onto the website or the app, pay whatever penalties there are and cancel. Not to mention the fact that it’s highly unprofessional to be promised MULTIPLE call backs with no follow up. What’s unfortunate is that I am not the only one who’s had this experience with them.

Great spot to exhaustively run in place while blankly staring at a family enjoying their breakfast. What else would you want in life?

I like this location but my experience lately is not good - Sanitizer stations : this site lacks sanitizer stations, there should be one near each disinfects/paper towel station , since every one touches The disinfects bottles with bare hands. What’s the point of sanitizing equipments If all touching the same disinfects bottles before and after using the equipment ! - WIFI Doesn’t work : I reported this issue many times and never got resolved - No towel availability : I have the top membership and still can’t count how many times towels were not available!

clean, they validate parking for up to 3 hours, and the machines are in great shape. oh and the views of the city are spectacular. I love watching the city while getting my work out on. Nice staff, young but very nice.

Someone in this location banned me and cancelled my account with no reason or explanation. No one knows what happened and now I have to deal with correcting the issue and fixing someone's mistake. I rode my bike over today for a second attempt at correcting the issue to no avail. It is not the first time this has happened at this location. The same thing happened to my friend's account and he had to sit with a general manager for over half an hour to create a whole new account due to their error. This has never occurred to me before. It just seems like there is a lack of professionalism and attention to detail at this location without anyone taking responsibility and the customer taking the hit. They just stand there and tell you there is nothing they can do and that you should try speaking to someone else. Super inconvenient. I am absolutely not happy.

Not the newest but comfortable. Find equipment you can't find anywhere else ( only reason i come to this location).

The reason to 4 stars is for the minor hiccups that this place has no control over. It's an older system in the building but Joey the general manager has done so much. When I first started coming here weeks ago I will admit my experience wasnt the greatest. I rely on the hot water and towels. Those were out for the time being. But Joey was honest and caring about getting them back and running. The place can be a bit crowded but that's just my anxiety of places. Anyways Joey has done such an amazing job with this place. He actually cares about the people. I haven't had a gym membership ever this long and he's made quite the difference if anyone ever feels any type of way or angry go to Joey. He will treat you like a person and not make you feel crazy ever. Don't hesitate to reach out to him.

This location is pretty decent; it’s smaller than other locations I’ve been to around the valley. Their availability of equipment is good. Their cleanliness is fair; I watched 50% of members wipe things down and the other 50% didn’t clean anything. Whether there is covid or not EVERYONE should be wiping down the equipment that they use. Also workers in the gym should be going around wiping equipment down on a schedule. About 80% of the members wore their masks properly. The locker room was pretty clean and about 3 of the toilets in the bathroom had piss on the seats. I’m not expecting everyone in the public to be clean 100% of the time but that is nasty. Overall this gym was alright.

I'm leaving a review just to respond to a sheeple who left a review here called Aaron Kane. It's because of sheeple like him that the rest of us with brains are having a tough time in this scamdemic. Sheeple like Aaron Kane have had countless hours of exposure to corporate media's powerful propaganda machinery until they've been completely and irreversibly brainwashed. This is a great gym, and I love everything about it except the fact that we're forced to wear face diapers because sheeple like Aaron Kane have watched too much tv.

I’ve been going to EOS for a little while now, and I was in the area so I gave this location a try... not worth it. The parking was a huge hassle, equipment was old and dirty, and compared to other locations this gym is very small. I had to cut my workout short because I was t willing to wait for everything I needed. Overall, cool downtown vibes, but old and very small

It's wonderful jumping through hoops to cancel. They don't handle any of their actual payments or contracting in house. Once your a member they send you to a nightmarish 3rd party customer service team to handle membership holds, cancellations, literally almost anything other than the working out part. They also charge a large annual maintenance fee rather than just increase monthly dues by $5 or so. I won't ever sign up here again and will forever tell everyone of the nightmare that is EoS

Very fun place to work out. The classes are taught by friendly people. The free weight space is not as big as some dedicated lifters may prefer but they do have a large variety of gym equipment to use. Lockers are big and feature nice showers and steam room to relax after you exercise.

Centrally located in Downtown Phoenix. Beautiful location! A very modern and contemporary design. EOS gym has new equipment, and also iconic 70's era machines too. EOS has free weights, platforms, squat racks, and benches. There are Cardio machines around the facility. A decent amount of isometric machines. And a sizeable functional fitness area. Pretty neat gym. Check it out! Garage parking is verified.

I signed up for the month-to-month membership in August. Within three weeks I decided the location's parking wasn't ideal and notified management I wanted to cancel. I've sent emails to the general manager and made requests online for cancellation. I've requested confirmation that my membership is cancelled and that they received the membership cancellation letter I sent and so far have been ignored. However despite being well aware I want to cancel they have been attempting to charge me every five days. Why charge someone when they haven't stepped foot in your gym in weeks? Poor communication and management. Edit: in response to the owner: What email can I contact you at?

Physique Gym members and staff were a pleasure to work with in my preparation for my first bodybuilding competition. Craig knows diet, exercise, and how to pose for a bodybuilding competition! I had never done a competition, but using my physical therapy skills to build my shape I thought I would give it a try. It is senseless to do it yourself, even if you are a pro. A friend recommended Craig at Physique Gym. I was grateful for his expertise for I placed and received a trophy the first time ever trying. Craig has his system down to a science!

What's there to say other than from the minute I walked into this place I knew it was different . Something about the atmosphere Had me captivated from the 1st assessment / workout. The hands on and the experience that both coaches hold for over 30 years has played a big part in my fitness development and progress. With noticeable gains and leaning out I get constant compliments and that bouisse's my confidence I would recommend this place to anyone who has been struggling who has wanted to take the next step or has just wanted to go to the next level . This isn't just a gym this is a family this is a tribe and glad to say that I am part of that tribe. P.S Check your ego at the door and let them do their job and you'll get the results you want. Thx coach Craig &Cara.

From the first time you step into Physiques you're accepted as part of the group. The expectations are high, but the reward is 100% worth it if you're ready to make a change. The accountability and encouragement from Cara and Craig make me want to push myself and do better every day. Not just physically, although that's a huge part of it, but in every day life too because their guidance applies outside of the gym as well. They say that Physiques Gym makes sense when nothing else does, and it's true. You put in the work, you get the results. This place has been exactly what I was looking for, and I didn't even know how much I needed it until I started. They also say starting is the hardest part. If you're looking for a place that will hold you accountable and do it's best to help you achieve your goals, this gym - the trainers and the family will be ready to help without a doubt.

I hate gyms. Never had a membership. Never saw the point. I am a 165 lbs, average white dude that sits at a computer all day and drinks beer all night. You aren't going to find me in a bodybuilding magazine. My 36th birthday hit, and I had an epiphany of sorts. I woke up and decided to strive to reach my full potential in every phase of my life. I knew about PG through a football program that Craig Tinnelle had trained in the past. After I took the assessment with Tinnelle, reality slapped me in the face about how much work I needed to do. I signed up for a year of training the second that I got done getting sick several times in the bathroom. PG has been a blessing. Everyone there supports one another. The sessions are intense. The results are real, but the surprising part is how it has made me push harder in other phases of my life. Craig, Cara, and Craig 2.0 are the best in the business. Quit reading this review, and get to Physiques.

  • 5/5 celiandsantino 6 years ago on Google
This gym is clean and has great equipment. You are always encouraged to push harder, not only by the trainers, but by others who are working out as well. The work outs are always different so you never get bored. It's great to always have someone there at hand to help you vs. being at a big gym where you have no clue what to do. The motivation at this gym is awesome!

  • 5/5 Joseph D. 6 years ago on Google
Craig and Cara are awesome! They encourage you to push yourself and you’ll get the best training in your life, plus they’ll help you with nutrition and injury recovery. Don’t be intimidated by the fact that they have a background in bodybuilding (in which they've been very successful) if that’s not your thing, because they train all types of people, so you don’t have to be a hardcore weight trainer or competitive bodybuilder to come here and get results. Group training is great because you get a fantastic workout with like minded people and there is a great sense of community here. Come in a try it!

Everything about this gym had me buzzing and hailing it the best gym I ever joined! It was only missing a lap pool, which I use to build my endurance. I also need a strong WiFi connection to broadcast live streams of my martial Arts instruction. I always get an unstable connection, and no students join my broadcasts. I attempted to contact a manager for assistance, but they never responded. I haven't visited force over 3 weeks, but plan to go there tonight. I hope for positive results.

I still have not been to a EoS i don't like yet. The weight machines here are different than the others, but in a regular fitness routine change is a good thing! Staff was nice, facility was clean, and everything else you'd expect from EoS! Don't forget your parking stub in the car! You need it to be validated!

  • 3/5 Elijah C. 1 year ago on Google
Pretty comprehensive in terms of equipment and amenities offered. Surprised that they only have one of many of the most typically used machines. Some parts of the gym feel clean and new and others are worn down. The assisted pull up machine is completely non functional and it's the only one. On the smaller/ more crowded side depending on when you workout.

Haven't been in a few years but I tried getting a membership for my guy online and was unsure about something so I called the facility. The guy who answered turned out to be a manager which I didn't find out until the end of the call. I was completely satisfied with his phone etiquette. He was polite and very informative. He answered all the questions I had. I ended up going with the platinum package. Too bad I don't remember his name but keep up the good work!!

I don't know who is trainer, I don't know when is my session

I’ve had to lower my rating after coming here for 2 months. My review is based off EoS entirely and this site, because it applies mostly there. 2 months ago, I was shopping for a gym to start working out again. I was at LA fitness prior and it was getting pricey. So, EoS seemed like the answer. They had everything for more affordable price. I was aware of previous reviewers complaints about the hidden charges and cancellation difficulty. I didn’t mind since I found those disclosures in the contract. One thing I missed was the an extra charge for guests at this location. I already have the top member charge which includes any EoS and a guest pass. After two months of coming to this location(around 40 times) the staff has let my guest join me. Not today, I was just informed that I have to pay an extra $5. My membership is now $40.99/mo. Now Im paying close to LA fitness prices with the crazy crowds of EoS gyms.

I use a lot of gyms across America. This specific gym is above average in the most important measures. It's clean, equipment is good, and employees are more engaging than most gyms. This is a good sized gym AND it occupies highly desirable downtown commercial space. The people complaining about lack of space (the antisocial types who choose to live in a high density area called "downtown" and are then revolted to learn that other people also reside there) would also be the first to quit when rates increase to lease more space. On top of that you only need to train four times a week to be in top shape. If you can't manage that then your diet is your issue. Or maybe you need to actually lift instead of sitting on the machines (I was going to say texting friends but you probably don't have those) posting on Reddit.
