I will begin by saying the atmosphere is very beautiful and classic high end steakhouse. You walk in the doors to view of the expansive alcohol display. The light are low and the soulful r&b welcome you in as the friendly host walked us to our table. We ordered 2 cocktails; a Smokey mezcal for me and Four Roses Old Fashion for the wife. Both of which were delicious and met our expectations. Unfortunately that is where the positive ends. Our server took our drink order and we stopped him so I could order an appetizer and my wife a house salad. Another table was offered bread and butter but we must not look like bread lovers. Grateful they’re helping us watch the waistline. Our waiter needed to be stopped so I could order the tuna (delicious appetizer) but walked away before my wife could order her salad. After sometime we finally flagged down our waiter so she could order a house salad, to which he replied ok and started to walk away. She stopped him before he walked all the way to tell him what dressing should would like. Not sure what would have come out but at least she got that out. But I understand as he was really busy hanging out at the bar and managing his 1 table; us. 35 minutes after arriving and many stare downs later he meanders on over to see if we’d like dinner. Ummm why were we at a booth table at a steakhouse? Maybe for the atmosphere but no we let him know we were here for food. My wife ordered the boneless rib-eye with Brussels sprouts (whoops they’re out he lets us know after a few minutes so Mac n cheese it is). I ordered the Ny strip with asparagus. When the food arrived, very quickly by all standards, we put the service aside and looked forward to some delicious $50 steaks. Well I guess 50% isn’t bad. My steak, ordered med well was served med rare and looked like a backyard bbq not even using Costco steak. But had some peppery flavor to it and decide not a $50 steak but you know this atmosphere must be work $30 so there’s that. My wife who knows 2 things well: whiskey and steak. Well her ribeye order medium was served med well. Also the 13oz steak fat hadn’t been rendered nor had the steak had a chance to rest. So her Mac n cheese turned into a vampires dream as she had half her steak cut off as fat, the other half had zero favor and tasted like somebody soaked it in oil before putting it on the bbq. Now we love Outback steak house with the rest of them and had these steaks not been $48 and $49 then we’d be fine. Charging $19.99 is more the experience we had. Unfortunately Chop set themselves up to fail with the environment that set the mood like Bourbon n Bones without the food quality.

We made reservations for Aug 13th, after seeing some great reviews and looking for a place that served lamb. After opening the large impressive doors, we were whisked away into a very romantic atmosphere, highlighted by amazing food. We ordered the swordfish and rack of lamb. Both were incredible, & cooked to perfection. I'm not one that gets excited about food, but damn it was good! An added touch was the candlelights on the table, along with strong but savory drinks. Highly recommended to all! Definitely worth treating yourself to a date night.

Nice atmosphere and great bar. The food lacked seasoning. The steak was cooked as ordered but could have been more elevated I flavor. The pork loin was huge and again lacking flavor. I enjoyed the cheese fondue appetizer and the Mac and cheese had good flavor.

Great atmosphere, knowledgeable wait staff. Food service execution left us with more to be desired. 2 of us ordered the exact same meal. Ribeye steak and garlic mashed potatoes. We both ordered them Med Rare however one of us got one that was Med and the other Rare. For one that was sent back they recooked it and over shot it to Med Well. They finally made a 3rd one and by that time the rest of the table was ready to leave so it has to boxed togo. With the mix up between the two meals and the discrepancies one was grossly over charged ( not just over charged, but incorrect bill was presented.) while the other received a small gratuity. It's not my place to make decisions for someone else's business practices, but given the interruptions and the lack of desired food I would have expected a little more. On top of it all no manager came by the table, not once. Not before and not after the issues were presented. It's a great spot. Nice location, really nice ambiance, can't say much for the food as I didn't get to eat, but could just be a first time situation.

We cannot recall the last time we have had dinner out where EVERYTHING about the evening and the meal was perfection. The ambience is romantic but elegantly casual. Our food was spectacular. (We had the shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, pork chops, and salmon…all of it, A+++) Beautifully presented, plenteous, and served by the sweetest most professional young servers we have EVER had serve us. Even the manager was gracious and friendly and made us feel special! This dinner was a gift from our daughter in son-in-law as a special anniversary celebration while we visited from North Carolina. Now, we never want to leave Chandler because we want to come back again and again and again and dine at Chop Chandler. Well done, Chop!

4 visits and so far so good. Except Jeff on Sundays, he judges. These Korean BBQ wings were the bomb! Awesome. Instead of ranch , I may order some oranges with yogurt or some pickles ginger.

We arrived at opening, 1st impressions, really nice atmosphere and menu. That changed quickly. This is not a special occasion or date night steakhouse kind of place. It has more of a loud, intense, crowded, roudy bar, kind of vibe. Definitely not for sweethearts or families in my opinion. We had, prime rib, swordfish, scallops & chicken. Food quality was good not excellent, over and under seasoning was an issue. For the prices we were very underwhelmed. For the ambiance, we picked the wrong place and skipped dessert because we couldn't hear or talk to each other without raising our voices.

I've had the pleasure of visiting twice now. Both times they've impressed me with their friendly, helpful service and food quality. I've now had the Steakhouse Linguini & Meatballs and the Baseball Cut Top Sirloin. I'd get both of those meals again. I look forward to going back for more.

Love the ambience !! Great place to grab a drink and appetizer !!! Used to love the pork chop but the last two times it’s been disappointing so now I just stick to apps and drinks !!! It’s a cool spot for sure !!!

My wife & I went there for our 39th wedding anniversary. I wanted something a little more upscale than I' used to and with excellent food they exceeded all of our expectations. The attention we received from the manager Shane and the two gentlemen Patrick & Matt, any excellent food? My wife wants to go back for a birthday in August. We will be there

Been here several times and the food quality has been pretty good. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. The filet was also pretty good. The sea bass and scallops were also cooked perfect with good flavor. The Mac and cheese were just ok. Needed a bit more cheese and flavor. Service was good and fast. Will return for sure.

It was honestly a really great restaurant. The food there was all really reasonably priced and SUPER good. The portion sizes were large, so you don't have to be worried about leaving hungry. Great and fast service as well. Really nice, well-run restaurant!

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I must say it was an amazing experience. The pork chop and mushrooms were cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was very relaxing and elegant. The service was impeccable, the staff was friendly, and they were very knowledgeable about the menu and dinner options. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a quality dining experience.

Wanted to have a nice dinner for New Year’s Eve, so we chose Chop as it’s one of the steakhouses left we haven’t been to and we were in for a treat!!! The food was amazing!!! The steak literally melted in your mouth like butter. The drinks were tasty. The service was absolutely fantastic! The booth was comfy. The atmosphere was lovely, definitely recommend!

We came to try the restaurant week menu and everything is great. The wagyu meat balls are super tender with the size just like tennis. Salmon is very flavorful. Our server is fast, polite and friendly. Nothing to complain, will be back for sure.

Came here for our anniversary and it is one of the best steakhouses we have been to. All of our food came out perfectly! -The service was great! Matthew was our waiter and he was super nice and very personable.. he helped us with whatever questions we had. -Lori was awesome! Couldn’t decide on a wine and she recommended a white one and it was one of the best tasting white wines I’ve had! She even went out of her way to find and tell me where I can find it! The staff was very friendly and very attentive. Even the chef came out (because my fiancé is a fellow die hard Eagles fan lol) -the food was fantastic!! Definitely have to try their bang bang shrimp and the loaded awesome fries! 100% recommend this place and definitely will be coming back! They made sure we had a special anniversary dinner!

Great service, friendly and professional. My food was not so good. I ordered the pork chop - which was huge- but was dry and tough. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. I might go back as I like to give places at least two chances before I write them off.

The service was great but the consensus of the five of us that dined there was that the filet was the worst steak (at any price) that any of us have EVER had. The steaks had absolutely no flavor aside from the overly charred, burnt crust. The 6 oz steaks were overcooked as well and the sides were very bland and over priced for the quality. The only saving grace was that our waiter gave us 35% off this terrible meal.

  • 4/5 Edward M. 8 months ago on Google
Service was great, cocktails were good, the atmosphere was nice, and most food was good. However, the steaks really came up short. Wife and I each ordered steak and the cuts were generous but both steaks had an overpowering smoke flavor, so much so that it couldn't be real. Will likely return, but won't be ordering the steak again.

  • 1/5 Leah R. 5 months ago on Google
Our waiter was great but the food was HORRIBLE. Zero stars! Filets were flavorless, overcooked & most of all charred beyond explanation. Sides were also over priced for quality & lack of flavor. Wonder if they are under new ownership, quality went way down, maybe just a bad night to go?...

This is a fun place to grab a nice dinner - romantic or with a group of friends. They have tall booths for privacy or longer tables to accommodate groups or tables for 2. This place is clean and modern. The food was good. I liked that some of their sides were more like appetizers, so you could order something interesting with your meal - fried pickles or tempura green beans!!! Our waiter wasn't that attentive, but there was a fella expediting food and checking on everyone that was so amazing. I'd definitely go back. They also have a room on the side that you can reserve for large parties.

Chop Chandler is a friendly place for quality dining and drinks. I recommend it highly. Tonight I enjoyed a nicely seared ribeye with peppercorn sauce and asparagus. The steak was properly cooked to my specifications, well-seasoned and very flavorful. The peppercorn sauce was particularly stout which was very much to my liking. I finished with a nicely tart Key Lime Pie, which was akin to an extra light and fluffy lime cheesecake, just how I like it. My only reservation would be the Caesar Salad. It was a decent enough gathering of ingredients, but not really a true Caesar, i.e. like the table service original from the namesake restaurant in Tijuana, Mexico, which consists of exactly these ingredients: 2 small anchovy fillets, forked to a near paste A quarter sized dollop of minced garlic A quarter sized dollop of minced fresh horseradish A 4-5 second pour of red wine vinegar A 2-3 second pour of Lee & Perrins WS About 1/4 cup best quality EVOO 1 fresh egg 3-4 TBS fresh ground (not shreds) Regg/Parm cheese 1 tsp fresh ground pepper 1 full fresh head chilled Romain lettuce. ^ that is an actual Caesar Salad, serving 2-3 people generously, made to order at table side, which you almost never actually get. It is VERY robust, too much for most people to handle. As that is so rare, I won't hold that against Chop, as they do everything else quite well, with excellent service to boot.

Great restaurant in the Ocotillo area. Nice atmosphere and great bar. Food is really good. They have a decent wine selection as well as a full bar. The wait can be long. We were told it would be about 15 minutes. After waiting over 45 min for a table, we decided to just sit at the bar.

My husband and I chose to host a rehearsal dinner for our wedding party at Chop after seeing their large chalkboard sign advertising their private room. My husband emailed them about reserving the room but did not hear back for several days so he called and left a voicemail. The restaurant called him back and they discussed the room reservation for 12 guests. The morning of our dinner (on a Wednesday) we telephoned to notify of several additional guests. When we arrived we found out we could not sit in the room because they were storing boxes of training material (?) in the room. This was annoying but what was irritating was the manager informed us the room required a $1200 minimum in a tone that seemed dismissive /condescending prior to that and when we said that wasn't an issue, then informed of the training material. The evening had several additional missteps from large time gaps between entree delivery, a hair in the food, and a lot of issues with no one checking on the table to order additional bottles of wine. Despite the numerous issues, there was also no effort to rectify or congratulate us (again we informed them it was a rehearsal dinner numerous times). It might sound entitled but when you spend $1000+ and have several issues, a couple $12 deserts can help alleviate the bad taste left in our mouths but no effort came.

Can be costly but it's worth it for splurges. Excellent fish specials, which aren't easy to find in my opinion. I'd pass on the steaks here, as they are pricey and you can get great steaks at many other places in the area. Their wedge salad is to die for and worth the price, which is probably 40% higher than many other places. It's exceptional: very fresh and crisp, great dressing, yummy real bacon bits and big enough to practically be a meal in itself. The bar is visually amazing, filled with plentiful, gorgeous bottles, and I'm sure it's got a wide variety of spirits. Service is terrific most of the time and the manager is likely to stop by to see if all is well. Go early on weekends because it gets crowded. When you go, you'll see why.

The food was good but our experience wasn’t great. We went for our anniversary thinking it’d be really nice. The restaurant is beautiful, but we barely saw our server, he was almost partying with the loud group that was next to us. Our food was barely still warm when we got it. And we sat there for a while after we finished eating just to ask for the check. Keep in mind it wasn’t busy so it was odd.

Fantastic ambiance and excellence service! But you're a steakhouse, how can you be out of your "Friday and Saturday Night Special Prime Rib" by 7PM (Friday). Opted for a $35 ribeye which was half full of grizzle. How does that even make it out of the kitchen. My buddy's got the same steak which was the same quality. I'm not about complaint or free food, so I made no mention to the server, but maybe it's time for you to recheck your quality.

Food is great, not my first visit, nice ambiance but I believe understaffed, waitress was friendly and going as fast as she could do but I believe she had too many table. The ding in 2 stars was for the really long wait times between ordering and getting our drinks and food.

My wife and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary at Chop on Saturday night 11/23. Ordered prime rib and received the largest cut of prime rib I have ever had the pleasure to consume. Perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Chop Chandler for any occasion.
