Place is really really good, among the great Chinese places in the area, spice spirit definitely stands out. One of the best kungpao chicken I’ve had in the United States, they really got the taste right. Definitely go for the kungpao and I remember their dry pot was also great.

One of the most authentic Szechuan cuisine I've ever had out of Szechuan in China. Both the flavor and texture match what it is back in there. They reduce the spicy flavor to fit most of the populations here which I can totally accept it. The speed is extremely fast. They could complete all the order within a very short amount of time.

This place is dynamite—I’m in Phoenix on vacation. We decided to try this place with our extended family. Staff are great and the food is honestly incredible.

The food is amazing I love every bit of it! Sometimes they are a little slow but it is worth the wait! Staff is friendly and make sure that you are cared for. The food is so great that the leftovers were just as good! Best fried rice I've ever had in my life! Any of the fried rice.

A better choice comparing to some other local Chinese restaurants. Food is typical. Most things are very spicy and we forgot to tell them to make it mild. Service was a little lack, we went on a weekday night and there were not many customers, it seems only one server knows the menu and knows what they have, others were either new or just didn't know much.

It's a clean place, rarity. The food is good and they have options no spicy if you're beginning on Chinese food. Comfortable chairs. Nice waiters. Also, I like when the restaurant has windows, cause I can see the light.

Super friendly and polite server. All the employees in the back and front were smiling. It got busy and they put on some nice music. Delicious food. Quickly served even though it was busy. Cold food cold and hot food hot. Excellent service. Best experience I've had in a long time! Will recommend and be returning myself!

My partner is from Sichuan and we go here often. The smashed cucumbers and Hunan Pork & Peppers (translates to Farmers Small Stir Fry) dish is amazing. I wish there were more wine selections. But when we don't feel like cooking at home, we go here.

The restaurant specialized in Szechuan cuisine. The restaurant is very spacious. I would recommend you to try beef slice in golden soup. It was the first time I tried it and I was very impressed. It was a great combination of spicy, sour, and savory. Very flavorful. I personally didn’t like crispy spicy fried chicken as it was not very crispy and spicy.

It's been a while since I had Chinese food this bad. We ordered 4 dishes and only 1 was actually edible. The corn soup had a strong chlorine smell. The A choy with garlic was actually pretty good. The salt and pepper pork loin was terrible. It was hard as a rock with very little or no pork inside the deep fried breading. 90% of the pieces were all deep fried breading and not meat. Should have been called salt and pepper deep fried breading rather than pork loin.. The BBQ lamb was also terrible. Way too much cumin and way too spicy. All the pieces were too well done and hard to eat and very chewy and gristle. Couldn't finish any dish. The staff was nice and the place was clean. The food, not so great.

Absolutely a hidden gem nestled in the city of Mesa. We love the warm and inviting ambiance inside the restaurant. The menu is also elegantly and beautifully designed (Well done guys). We are so surprised that they actually serve a diverse selection of authentic Chinese cuisine, I truly mean real authentic Chinese food (Spicy Szechuan, Hunan, Chongqing, Cantonese, and many more). Overall, the passion and dedication that go into every dish are evident to all of us. So, if you are in the area near Phoenix and want to find authentic Chinese cuisine like no other, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Came here at noon, not much people. Easy to find parking spot. The food was served quickly. The boiled fish is not as many as expected 😅, too oily but still ok. But the cumin lamp was so good.

We ordered the spicy braised chicken with potato and the dry red pepper fried fish filet. The chicken was pretty spicy and we liked it a lot. The portion was massive, we could only finish half and we brought the rest home. The fried fish was delicious too.

We ordered pork belly, chicken gizzards and intestine, lots of chile peppers made it super spicy, it was all delicious. The gizzards could use a slower cooking process or taken off the heat sooner but were great regardless.

I always come here for some numbing pepper soup with fish. You can never go wrong with it. There’s a red soup and a white soup. Tried the white one recently, i was sweating like crazy. But you can still taste all the flavours, it’s crazy how they manage to do it. Also had glass jelly for dessert. This thing is so unique

The food here at Spice Spirit is on of the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had. If you are a fan of spicy and numbing food this is the place for you. It’s packed with flavor and spice!
