Pier was one of the highlights from our stay in the beautiful Castelmola. He's always cooking something special. We enjoyed his homemade canneloni, meatballs and macaroni, as well as his breakfasts. We could tell that every meal was made with love! Highly recommend saying hi to Pier if you are in Castelmola. You won't find a friendlier person in all of Italy.

We had a great evening at PierdeCat yesterday. Just arancini and some white wine. Even though there are hundreds of places to dine around, I assure you that the guy running Pierde is exceptionally friendly and really makes the place. Great attitude towards guests, kids inclusive. Highly recommended!

Charming place… You have to visit it during your stay in Castemola! Here you can drink the best Almond Wine in Sicily - with orange peel and cookie! This combination is magical. Delicious granita with brioche.. Tasty breakfasts made from local ingredients - I don't recommend anything specific because I know that everything there is delicious. Wonderful Italian atmosphere, beautiful views, a castle nearby... And – most importantly, the owner! Charming, caring about his guests, funny and talking about every ingredient with passion! No restaurant in Taormina will give you such a wonderful experience as Pier de Cat in Castelmola :)

Wow! After a long hike and a few wrong turns; we ended up here for lunch - entirely unplanned! What a treat, incredible view, great bites and drinks & the owners energy was so welcoming. We still think about this place frequently. We can’t wait to return, planned this time!

Tuna salad with Sicilian home made vinaigrette was amazing! Good vibes with soft 50’s music playing in the background. Service was also great! The owners were both happy and helpful :)

This place is like a whole different leavel! Amazing owner who cooks and serves. Wholesome experience! Food - MOUTHWATERING. Ask for pasta - it's not in the menu, but they have lasagne and canelloni - amazing. Best Food ever had. Thank you for the wonderfull evening!

Beautiful place, amazing food! Bruschetta is simply perfect, almond wine is a must try, Arancini best I’ve had so far! Owner speaks fluent English and is very friendly! Would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

The owner - Pier is a unique man who loves his Bistro, the cuisine and cares about his guests. And you can feel it in his dishes. A small bistro on high Castelmola with a cozy interior. A lovely surprise. And the home made wine is delicious. Good luck !!!

Lovely food, good prices and absolutely delicious vino dal mandorle 💗💗 loved chatting with the owner, he made us feel very welcome and showed us the proper way to drink the wine 😀

Unique place that will make you want to listen to 1930’s music just to remind yourself how it was to be there. Arancini is handmade by the owner - I strongly recommend you try this essence of Sicilian food. The view from the outside tables is amazing.
