A perfect place to spend your evening walk. It looks amazing during sunset and if you stay a bit longer magic continues when city lights up. A must place to visit when you visit Florence. Bridge is lined with many jewel shops as well which is dates back to historical times.

The beautiful historic architecture and romance of this bridge have been lost to throngs of tourist and gaudy jewellery shops. Luckily your eyes will probably be shielded from the experience as you get swept along with a tour group in matching scarves trying to keep up with their guide. Do yourself a favour, just view it from a distance.

It’s one of the most visited touristic areas in Florence, the old bridge over the Arno River has a beautiful view for the sunset. There are many jewelry, art and souvenir shops. There are also many restaurants, ice cream shops and pastry shops. The whole area is very lively. I highly recommend visiting it.

This is a must see in Florence. You cannot visit Florence without seeing this spot. It is one of the most famous spots to visit. I would highly recommend a visit here walking across the bridge to see the old part. I would highly recommend you walk further away to get better photographs and videos as seen attached

The Ponte Vecchio in Florence is an iconic landmark that captures the essence and charm of this beautiful city. This historic bridge, which spans the Arno River, is a sight to behold and a must-visit for any traveler exploring Florence. As you walk along the Ponte Vecchio, you are instantly transported back in time. The bridge is lined with an array of shops, showcasing a variety of jewelry, art, and souvenirs. The vibrant atmosphere and bustling energy of the bridge create a unique and enchanting ambiance. But it's not just the shops that make the Ponte Vecchio special. The bridge itself is a marvel of architecture, with its arched design and quaint buildings that seem to cling to its sides. The view from the bridge is equally captivating, offering a picturesque panorama of the Arno River and the surrounding cityscape. One of the most striking features of the Ponte Vecchio is its rich history. Dating back to the medieval period, it has survived wars, floods, and the test of time. It is the only bridge in Florence that was spared during World War II, making it a symbol of resilience and endurance. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a lover of architecture, or simply seeking a unique experience, the Ponte Vecchio will not disappoint. It is a place that embodies the spirit of Florence and offers a glimpse into its storied past. However, it's worth noting that the bridge can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. If you prefer a quieter experience, consider visiting early in the morning or late in the evening when the crowds are thinner. In conclusion, a visit to the Ponte Vecchio is an essential part of any trip to Florence. Its beauty, history, and vibrant atmosphere make it a true gem and a highlight of the city. Take your time to stroll along the bridge, soak in the views, and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Florence's past.

It's really a nice place to checkout. The bridge has jewellery shops all over it. But for a good view of the bridge you need to go to Ponte Santa Trinita which is the next bridge. You get to see a better view of the colorful buildings and bridge.

Picturesque bridge with very old jewellery shops. You can take good pictures from bridges on either side. Nice to browse here!

My wife and I have walked over the Ponte Vecchio a few times during our trip and it’s so cool! Beautiful views, little shops and good food all around. I must have taken over 100 pictures as the views are stunning! Would love to come back at night. [A few of my posted photos are views from standing on the Ponte Vecchio]

I’m always in love for sunsets and this place has a incredible beautiful one. Is super crowded but worth to go. I really recommend to go before the little stores close, I arrived there and they were already closed so I could not experience there.

Historic. Beautiful. Iconic. Also the shopping is very nice. I’d also recommend an early morning stroll or jog right at the sun’s rise. Feels like a walking in a postcard.

Ponte Vecchio is one of Florence's famous landmarks. The Ponte Vecchio has a history of nearly a thousand years. The earliest shops on the Ponte Vecchio were butcher shops. Because the Medici family hated the smell, they transformed them into various jewelry stores. Nowadays, most of them are jewelry stores and tourist souvenirs. Sales store. Address: Ponte Vecchio, 50125 Firenze. Public transportation: Take public bus C3 or D to Ponte Vecchio station and get off.

The Ponte Vecchio is a historic bridge in Florence, Italy, known for its charming architecture and unique shops. Dating back to medieval times, its iconic design and the presence of jewelry stores create a picturesque scene over the Arno River. The bridge has endured centuries and remains a must-visit attraction, blending history and commerce in a captivating way.

This bridge feels like you have stepped back in time. The whole bridge is dedicated to jewelers and expensive watch stores, but it is simply beautiful to walk across it and see it for its beauty. Also has great views.

The Ponte Vecchio is an amazing place and offers beautiful views of the Arno River and other bridges of Firenze. There are very nice Jewelry shops but they are probably horribly overpriced. There are some great little restaurants around the entances to the bridge. Sometimes they have live entertainment on the bridge at night. A must see if you are visiting Firenze. I could visit this place every day and it would be amazing.

I was on this bridge when I was 5 years old first time - in the '60s ! So not yesterday :-) It is still beautiful! I learned, that they are no "real" jewelers on the bridge any more: the shops are just selling jewelry from different places. Walk around the bridge on the river bank, spend some time in a nice restaurant with a view on the bridge! You will love it, for sure!

One of the most visited tourist spots in Florence, the old bridge over the Arno River has a beautiful view both at sunrise and sunset. On the bridge are many jewelers art dealers and souvenir shops.

It's a lovely spot for a leisurely walk along the river, with plenty of picturesque locations for taking photos - especially during sunset. However, due to its popularity, finding an empty seat can be a challenge as there are many people around. The bridge is also beautiful and surrounded by many jewelry shops. Although it can be crowded, it's still a worthwhile place to visit.

Ponte Vecchio is just beautiful. Walking across the bridge was not like any other. Seeing the views from the shops located in the bridge was crazy. The best vantage point of the bridge is from the other one or from the parallel roads on either side of the river. A must see at least once. It is about a 20 minute walk from the main train station.

An iconic symbol on the Arno River-and survived the occupation and destruction during the World War! Must see and admire. Beautiful and breathtaking views next to the river in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Whether you're a window shopper, an art enthusiast, or simply looking for a charming Florentine experience, the Ponte Vecchio is a must-visit. It's a bridge that connects not just two sides of the river, but also history, art, and beauty.

An amazing bridge and a must see spot in Florence. You shouldn't miss this one at any cost when you visit Florence. The bridge has numerous gold shops as well. It's a good selfie spot and one can simply enjoy the views.

My favourite Photo Motive in Tuscany (and yes I have dozens of shots to prove it) When I spent a few days in Firenze last February I would get up early every day to catch a different angle each time only to return around sunset to continue my quest for the perfect shot.

Wonderful bridge. The shops are just with jewelry so don’t expect to find there food or anything else than jewelry but it’s stunning and definitely worth the visit. You can watch the sunset from the bridge or just go few meters behind and see the sunset behind the bridge which is very nice

Each side of this Ponte is filled with quaint jewelry stores. It is an extremely popular place to sit and watch the sun set. While we were there, a busker entertained the crowds with some excellent classical music.

Super interesting place. Hook up with a local to get the story or join a city tour group. Pretty interesting history both old and modern if you're into that sort of thing it's a must.

A place that should be visited both day time and night time. You can take great photos. Or sit near the river and enjoy the view for a while. There are jewelry shops on the bridge which seemed quite expensive to me but if you are financially comfortable you can visit them, too.

Ponte Vecchio, Florence's "Old Bridge," weaves a tale of medieval charm and artisanal allure. With its iconic shops overlooking the Arno River, the bridge is a living canvas of history and craftsmanship. Sunset transforms the scene into a breathtaking panorama, making each step across Ponte Vecchio a journey through time and the vibrant heart of Florence.

An amazing landmark right at the city center. The view is amazing during day time, but it gets much better at night time. We are also lucky that a street performer was there to play some acoustic music that makes the scenery even lovelier

If you're walking around Florence you'll eventually run into this bridge. Unless you're in the market for some very expensive jewelry, going into the shops on the bridge is not really necessary. You can easily see what they have on offer through the windows. Viewing the bridge itself from nearby is definitely worthwhile.

A must visit attraction in Florence. Very romantic spot especially in the evening with sunset. It is extremely busy! There are many restaurants and bars nearby and gift shops. You should definitely spend an evening in this area and enjoy a drink or a meal by the river. You should also look at the boat tours that go through the river and cross the bridge.

The oldest stone bridge in Europe and one of the few things to visit in Florence. The bridge has gold shops and was very crowded with tourists. It felt good walking on that bridge and exploring the market. The view from the shops of the Arno river was good. If you exclude the history, it is just another bridge.

One of the more unique bridges around with shops along the walkway. There’s also a few good spots to take photos from which has a lovely view of both sides of the river. Shops are mainly catered to tourists but still interesting to walk along and enjoy the view.

On a Sunday late morning, when I visited, it was extremely packed and busy. However, it's well-worth a visit, because it's very unusual, interesting and pretty from both architectural and aesthetical perspectives. On top of that, this bridge went through a lot and can brag with a very interesting history, therefore I recommend visiting it at least once when you're around.
