Excellent, excellent, excellent!!!!! Great, quiet place to hang out and have wine. The wines are organic, you just tell the lovely hostess, who had brilliant eyes and a beautiful smile, what type of wine you're seeking and she picks something out for you try! You get a little dish or organic tarali to nibble on. I've been here twice in 2 days and plan on going back for more.

If you love wine you will love medulla vini. Incredibly knowledgeable staff who can communicate enough in English to get you exactly what you want. Wide selection but incredibly well curated. Did not have one bad glass. If you like skin contact or orange wines they have an amazing selection as well as the more typical wine varieties.

This wine bar in Bologna is so cozy, chilled and unpretentious. We visited two nights in a row and enjoyed sitting outside under the porticos, people-watching from chairs that spilled onto the pavement. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wine. There's no menu; instead the inside of the bar is lined with dozens and dozens of organic, natural and local wine bottles. You tell the owner what kind of wine you like, or would like to try, and he makes suggestions. You can drink it by the bottle or glass. Price-wise, there are affordable bottles similar to what you'd pay in a restaurant (€15-25 per bottle) all the way to very expensive, rare types. We asked to try local wines from the Emilia-Romagna region, so he suggested a Tera (a Ravenna Trebbiano) and Paltrinieri 'Radice' Lambrusco di Sorbara. Both were absolutely delicious and we had no problem finishing the bottles. If I lived in Bologna, I'd happily go there again and again.

A great spot to drink a glass or bottle of natural wine on a summer evening in Bologna. They only serve natural wines. If you get a glass, they'll let you try a little of 2-3 wines until you like it enough to get a glass since natural wines are a bit funky. Each glass was 6€. The service was incredible, they were so helpful and helped me and my partner get delicious wines based on our wine preferences. They had glasses of biscuits to take with you while you drink your wine. There's limiting indoor seating (enough for 7-8p) and a couple of outdoor tables. Most people sit on or stand near the ledge next to the wine bar.

Lovely experience. The owner was happy to guide us through the organic winemaking process. Enthousiasm made us stay a little longer than expected. Very good wines at an affordable price.

Great little wine bar with well priced local wines by the glass and bottle. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. No kitchen but you can bring in food from elsewhere to eat with your drink.

Outstanding little wine bar in pretty central Bologna. Great and eccentric service from the owner (rest of staff also excellent), does everything he can to match a wine to your palate, and will open up any number of bottles to do so. Champions itself on organic, sulphite free and biodynamic offerings. Come here! You won't be disappointed.

Small wine bar with lots of friendly folks. Got many tips for places to eat and we were able to try various local wines by the glass.

Loved this little spot. They asked us a couple questions about the type of wine we like and poured both of us excellent glasses of wine. Enjoyed in their outdoor space for great people watching.

    1. If you don‘t know wine, start here. 2. If you know wine, learn here. 3. If you love wine, stay here. What are you doing ? Mille grazie for a wonderful stay with Sr. Luca. We will not forget our stay and have learned about Etna Bianco.

Situated up near the student-y area, this little "bio" enoteca has room for a few handfuls (one big table, a couple of wee tiny ones) to hang out, have a glass of wine, and chill. (mind you, there’s also space outside under the portici- fine most of the year, chilly in the winter) Sociability is a wee bit enforced (especially at the big table!), but hey, this is Italy, and if you're not into being sociable, well, you're in the wrong place ! The owner can be a tad grumpy, but thats a facade, he's actually quite the chill dude :-)

Wonderful, we went here twice on our Bologna trip. Staff are helpful in choosing wines by the glass, very friendly and accommodating which was appreciated compared to other wine bars in Italy which tend to ignore or not care about foreigners. Highly recommend if you love wine and have a thirst to learn more about Italian vini, even just to buy a bottle to take away!

I always go there for good wine. I know the owner and he is very passionate. The wine are all natural and price is very good. They have also tap wine that is a nice idea and also good for the planet.

Brilliant wine bar! Cosy atmosphere, with an attentive and knowledgable sommelier who didn’t provide a menu but instead asked after our tastes and supplied great wines at great prices. Would visit time and time again.

Lovely experience. We were looking for a place to have a glass of wine after dinner, away from the hype of the touristy bars in the center, found this place by chance. What can I say...nice and inviting atmosphere, great music, friendly owner and the wines we tasted were fantastic. Recommended.
