The restaurant appearance is nothing fancy, even slightly modest. However, the service and the food were great. In three, we shared the fried fish antipasto. Each had a fish main course, all of which was very good and well presented. We ordered two desserts - the cannoli were delicious. In addition to wine, dessert wine and coffee, I'd say we spent very little, about 30€/person. I will definitely return.

Sicilian-food happiness in Bologna 😋 Bologna isn’t just about “cibo bolognese”, there is a deep reservoir of excellent restaurants of all levels and f every part of Italy, just waiting to b discovered. And these are everywhere - you’ve probably walked past them without noticing ! Da Maro is one of these, Sicilian and seafood centric, it’s a bit out of the way but we’ll worth the 10 minute walk. Small, welcoming, with excellent dishes, and very very happy-making . As to what to get, it’s all good - take your cues from the staff if you have any doubts - they won’t lead you wrong!

My spaghetti with zucchini and crunchy baby squids would be nice but the squids are overly salty so overall the dish is spoiled. I leave most of it in the bowl and the waitress doesn’t even ask if the food is fine or there’s anything wrong with it, so I must say it myself, as a tip for the cook. Won’t return.

Sicilian restaurant in Bologna, where to taste fresh and tasty fish. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the food really interesting. I had the chance to order things really hard to find in town otherwise.

Very good fish restaurant with reasonable but not low prices. Food is excellent, all dishes are beautiful and well done, and the service is good (if you don't speak Italian the owner will gladly explain the menu)

Received plates of fried fish for mains Was not really what we expected and not appropriate between our group Staff should have given better advice on menu Other dishes were ok but did not make up for above 6 euro charge for bread Overall 40 euro per person for an unenjoyable meal

Wow the food was amazing. The waitress was very helpful explaining the menu in English. It is a traditional Sicilian seafood restaurant. Beautiful fresh ingredients and very affordable wine - we had the house red. We chose to share a main of fried seafood as a starter between the 2 of us and it was fantastic. I had the parmigiana - which was delicious and my partner had short pasta with cutle fish prawns tomato and pea purée. We were not disappointed. A stuffed cannoli to share furnished off an amazing evening.
