An unexpected surprise! 🐾 We discovered this fantastic place by chance because we found ourselves near the Alma Master Studiorum 🎓 The Zoology collection is certainly a museum not to be missed if you are in Bologna, especially near the university. Suitable for all ages, the museum will allow you to discover many animals! 🦏🦍🦌🐯🦁 The collection is located inside the university and entry, in our case, was free. In addition, I recommend you also visit the upper floors where you can find the collection of comparative anatomy and anthropology (always free of charge). Absolutely recommended! 🌟

Truly unique experience: that of being able to see up close many specimens of animals that come from ancient private collections and beyond An experience in Bologna that is always free (apart from guided tours), children remain fascinated and intrigued by this pleasant exhibition. Maybe some display cases need a bit of restyling... But considering the museum is free, it's acceptable!

(Translated by Google) Not only the structure but also what is on display seems to have stopped there since the eighties ... I understand that the entrance is free but remove the dust from the windows? ... also they should say not only not to touch the animals but to keep the tone of his voice as low as in the library (Original) Non solo la struttura ma anche ciò che è in esposizione sembra lì ferma dagli anni ottanta... capisco che l'ingresso è gratuito però togliere la polvere dalle vetrine?... inoltre dovrebbero dire non solo di non toccare gli animali ma di tenere il tono della voce bassa come in biblioteca

First of all, it is free to access, and this in itself is a plus. It is a marvel of display cases and hundreds of animals, with many birds in particular. A pleasant visit, which children will enjoy.

(Translated by Google) You see stuffed animals from all over the world. I am very torn. Now that it exists, of course it has to be seen. But to think that so many of those animals were killed for this purpose makes me sad. However, it should be themed if you visit with children (who have a lot of fun seeing 'real' animals). Going beyond this ethical issue I would say that being free you can't complain so much, but if you want there may be a little more educational information, especially so that the children can understand something useful from this experience.
