This is a very expensive place to live, but it is mid renovation, so while the apartments are nice, the grounds are a disaster. The gate has not been in service in months, I have to use my phone flashlight to get down the stairs at night, there is no lighting on the grounds. When my sons motorcycle was stolen we found out there are no security cameras operating, not even at the wide open gate. It is very corporate, the staff is very nice but they are working for a faceless soul less corporation. I am sure there are better places to live.

If I could give no stars I would! I have been calling them for over a month now for a refund of my Admin fees and they keep giving me the runaround. First they tell me I'll get my refund in 7 to 10 business days, then I call them 15 business days later and they tell me they do their refunds by check, no matter how you paid the fee (which sounds like a scam to me). Any other refund I've ever received, regardless of what it was for, would be received the same way it was paid. For example, if I paid with a credit card my refund would be back on the same card. Now they're not answering my calls at all and dodging me! I still have not received my refund yet either! DON'T RENT FROM CORTLAND AT ANY OF THEIR PROPERTIES! IT'S A SCAM!! They only care until you sign a lease with them and then you're on your own.

I lived here for 15 years and it was a wonderful community for rhe first 14 years, then Cortland bought the property last year and raised my rent $300 (initially $400) to pay for renovations. The renovations have been nonstop noise for months now due to nearly everyone moving out because nobody can afford the rent increases. Once an apartment is vacant they start renovations on it so they can charge even more rent. Due to the renovations, the pool, fitness center, etc have been closed for months and at least one security gate is left open 24/7 so we have been paying for amenities we weren't getting. At no point did Cortland offer any credit or compensation for all of this. Cortland forced a lot of people like myself out of our homes without a moments thought. Bottom line, its a lovely complex for as long as you can afford it but Cortland is just another greedy corporation that won't hesitate to force you out of your home if they think they can get more $$$ for it.

Worst experience ever! I wouldn't stay here even if they paid me! Best part of staying here was when we got to move out!

My package got stolen in less than 6 hours. There's not enough parking. I can't access my account to pay rent. $15 a month to pick up your trash is a rip-off (it's horrible to see people's garbage outside their apartments overnight). It's missing a lot more dog poo stations (bags and cans), I find dog poop everywhere. My "remodeled" apartment has like 20 year old doors with chips, humidity and holes. I do not recommend it here. Sadly I have a lot of time left on my lease.

Management is fine and they are very nice but the security in this place is bad. My bike was stolen from my patio, we reported it but I can't feel safe here anymore.

I must say Chris is very professional and he always keeps his promise! My husband and I recently moved into one of the renovated apartments and there were a few things that went wrong on the day of the move in the office had already closed so I was not able to report anything to the office, but my husband saw Chris outside and told him what had happened in the "newly renovated" apartment Chris came right in a noted the things that were wrong. On the next day the office was opened I made them aware of the things that were wrong as well and received a text a few days later saying my work order was in progress......then crickets. We heard nothing else until Sunday, May 7 there was a knock on my door and it was Chris he came in and fixed one of the things I called in about plus my kitchen started leaking and he fixed that as well. I'm giving Chris 5 stars because I wasn't expecting him on a Sunday when the office is actually closed and he is always so helpful. Chris THANK YOU for being an amazing part of Cortland Sunriver. UPDATE TO MY REVIEW 10/5/2023 I have been a resident here for over 5 years and this year has been the WORST! I’m not sure how or why the WATER is off every other day! My husband wakes up at 1:30 to get ready for work and there is no WATER. When you call the 24 hour maintenance number you are informed I’m trying to get a hold of the building manager! In the meantime what are we to do?

Such a great place to live, community is quiet! The office people are great, and are very attentive! Me and my fiancé moved here about 1 month ago and we have had bad experiences in past apartments. so we were kinda effy at first on renting another apartment but so far this place is great!

Great Mountain View’s!! The apartments are very nice and located in a great community! Close to shopping centers, restaurants and park. The kitchen is nicely upgraded with granite countertops, great plank wood flooring and come with washer & dryer!! The staff is very friendly and very helpful! They are always happy to answer our questions!!

Worse place to live in! First of all, the internet on this side of the fundamental is as bad as it gets. They can only handle xfinity. And at first, we thought it was the internet company's problem, then the internet company came and looked at it and said it was the apartment's wiring that was old. We tried to get in touch with the apartment and it's been half a month, and we haven't gotten any solution or reply. This is seriously affecting me and my husband's life and work. Secondly, although the apartment is renovated all the facilities are based on the old apartment. Therefore, cockroaches are unavoidable, even though we just moved in one month. The management team is ridiculously unresponsive, it takes at least a week for someone to get back to you with daily feedback issues. They don't care about the residents at all, you just sign the contract, and no one cares. Lastly, we were charged a monthly fee for garbage pickup, but no one ever came to collect the garbage, and we were told that the fee could not be canceled. Their management is disorganized, our car was parked in our space, and we were actually ticketed by the office saying it would be towed because we didn't have a license plate yet? In short, don't choose to stay here!!!!

Cortland is an evil company. Seriously, just don’t move here. All their 5 star reviews are solicited, they suck every dime out of you they can.

Chris the maintenance manager at Cortland Sunriver offers A+ service! We recently moved to a new unit and he came over personally to ensure that outstanding maintenance issues were completed. Chris is friendly, professional, and respectful in his demeanor. He is a great asset to Cortland Sunriver!
