Accommodations were top notch, the tours were great, all transfers and drivers were prompt. If we go back to Portugal to explore further, we'll definitely use Portugal Trails!

Portugal Trails exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the planning and our actual holiday. You don’t know what you don’t know and Catarina (our consultant) was very patient working through a number of iterations of our itinerary and very proactive in making suggestions to improve our experience. Inês Oliveira and the entire staff of Portugal Trails arranged a wonderful vacation for us to Lisbon and Lagos, on the Algarve. Our airport transfers were seamless and easy, the 5 star hotels were fabulous. The service in both hotels we stayed in was impeccable. Ines arranged 2 tours for us as well. One was a 3-hour private walking tour around Lisbon that was excellent led by a very knowledgeable and interesting tour guide, and the other was a grotto boat tour in Lagos through the beautiful waters and cliffs. We were also treated to dinner and traditional Fado music in Lisbon. Ines always answered our questions on a timely basis and provided everything we asked for and more! We would not hesitate to book another tour through her and Portugal Trails!

I want to start by saying that this is the 2nd time I use Portugal/Spain Trails. My first trip was to Spain back in 2019. We had such a great experience that we did not think about it twice to use them again for our trip to Portugal. From the first interaction with Catarina to the end of our trip, we experience excellence. Catarina listened to our requests and built a wonderful trip from there. We enjoyed every single city we stayed in. In Lisboa, we had a fantastic time with Alex during the gastronomic tour of the City. She was knowledgeable of the history of the City which made it interesting and entertaining. She took us to the most iconic food places in the City. She was punctual, respectful, and professional. Then, we attended a cooking class. We didn't think it was going to be as fun as it was. We were lucky to have great classmates from all over the planet, but definitely, the chefs ladies made it special. They were organized and interacting at all times. They truly show the eagerness to teach us about their food and culture. All the suggestions in the road book were amazing from the restaurants to the sites to visit. Our drive from Lisboa to Porto, Porto to Douro and then back to Lisboa was perfectly done. We enjoy very much stopping in the different little towns included in our road book. All the tours were oriented to teach you about the history and culture of Portugal in a fun and active way. The Fado dinner show in Lisboa was fantastic. The Wine/Food Tasting in Porto with Bernardo was really enjoyable. Bernardo had a lot of passion for teaching about his City, food and Porto wine. Paul in Pinaho made our boat cruise entertaining. He answered all our questions. The views from the Douro River were spectacular. Every Hotel was amazing, from the location, yhe view, staff and breakfasts. The driver who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport was punctual and very professional. Overall, my husband and I had a fantastic time in Portugal. We felt like we were on a second honeymoon. You guys did it again. You exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely contact you again when we are ready to go back to Spain or Portugal. We HIGHLY recommend Portugal Trails for first class travel experience! We had arrived in Lisbon to begin our trip March 9, 2020 and due to Covid, had to be back in the US on March 13. Portugal Trails were so professional and helped us make arrangements to get back to the airport to fly home. All of our unused trip was refunded in a timely manner. We just returned from 16 days touring Portugal. It was a wonderful experience! From the GPS uploaded with all destinations and options to first class tour guides and excursions, everything was just perfect. I can’t recommend Portugal Trails enough. I was truly able to enjoy a vacation for once rather than worrying about our next destination and how we were going to get there. Portugal Trails and our travel consultant Inês Oliveira did a fantastic job of creating a 13 day itinerary for Portugal discovery. Our trip included some guided tours (Sintra day trip, Porto and Lisbon walking tour and 2 wine tasting trips and a boat trip to see the grottos in Algarve region.) and self driving throughout the key regions and historic sites such as Evora, Coimbra and Douro valley etc. The responsiveness of the entire PT team was exemplary and their pre programmed GPS was a blessing and even more included suggested parking spots to see the sites.

We went on a 29 day self drive trip with Portugal Trails (TourTailors) to Portugal and Spain. One of the best experiences we have every had. Goncalo and the team from the start provided professional and prompt service. All the personal guides and drivers were knowledgeable and friendly. The hotels awesome and the suggestions spot on. The team even helped us by buying soccer tickets for us when our cards were not accepted online. They are awesome and we can't wait to travel to Italy next time with them. Our experience with TourTailors was outstanding. From the very beginning, our consultant, Filipa was responsive, communicative, resourceful and a wealth of information. Filipa made the planning process a joy. She listened to what we said and was very willing to work with us until our 15 day trip to Portugal was perfected. Every hotel we stayed in was superb! Every tour we took, including walking city tours, food tours, cooking classes, wine tour, whale watch was awesome! The tour guides were all extremely accommodating and knowledgeable! Our drivers were great drivers, polite and knowledgeable. We had two car rentals and one experience was superb (EuroCar) and the second (Avis) just OK. We made our own flight reservations but Filipa arranged for our transports from airports to hotel,etc. and most everything ran like clockwork. We started in Porto, at The Yeatman Hotel (4 star hotel in Gaia, across the River from Porto) which was beautiful and comfortable, then we rented a car and drove 5 hours to Lagos in the Algarve where we stayed at the Boutique Hotel Vivienda Miranda (5 star hotel) overlooking the cliffs and beach. The decor was a delight and the food superb! Next we drive to Lisbon where we stayed at The One Palácio, a superb 5 star hotel in the heart of Lisbon. From Lisbon we flew to São Miguel in the Azores where we stayed at the Santa Barbara Ecco Beach Resort, a superb 4 star resort with all the amenities you could want and again fabulous food. Off the beaten path but not far from Ribiera Grande and Punta Delgada. We worked with several travel companies and consultants and we decided to go with TourTailors due to their incredible 100% money back policy for cancellations for any reason up to 5 days prior to our departure date. This is by far the best cancellation policy out there. We are so grateful to Filipa and TourTailors for helping us plan our seamless Amazing Portugal Adventure. He curated a custom tour based on where we (family of 6 adults) wanted to go in Portugal and what we wanted to see and do. Gonçalo booked us very nice hotels and tours that exceeded our expectations. He also arranged airport transfers and the vehicle rental (9-person van) for the portion of the trip where we want to drive from Lisbon to Porto then from Porto to Cascais. Additionally, the Tour Tailors partners, local guides, and drivers were always on-time and informed and all tickets were honored as expected.
