Marcos is the man. The service was amazing. He met me at my car rental at the airport and I left it at a store he arranged in Peniche as my return flight was really early. The board was in A1 condition, came clean and ready for a fresh wax (bar provided) a bag for transport and travel racks for the car. I chose the wet suit option. Again it was in A1 condition and great quality. He explained what happened if I dinged the board and I could tell he was genuine and I didn’t feel that I was going to get ripped off if I did ding it. Avoid beater boards, dirty wax and knackered old wet suits at the beach rental places and use these Marcos. I got a Hypto and loved it for my time in Peniche.

Best place to rent boards of all types, very easy going guys that are very helpful and let you switch boards whenever. Also they have storage space for your belonging, great for tourists who don't have a car!

Renting equipment from Portugal Surf Rentals is incredibly easy. You can select from a huge number of different kinds and sizes, among which some very high end performance boards. Wetsuits and even roof racks can also be rented. Within a couple of hours, you will hear from Marcos to confirm where the boards should be delivered: at your place, hotel, hostel, or somewhere else. Marcos and Pedro are very nice guys with great knowledge of the local breaks so ask them for tips. Changing boards is also not a problem. Their service is very flexible and I could always contact them. The future of surf rentals. Will definitely consult them again next time in Portugal! 🤙🏻

Trusted the existing reviews, and was not disappointed. Marcos was incredibly communicative, helpful, and very friendly. Drop-off was very organised and he was right on time, even going out of his way to bring the board to the villa we were staying at. He was out of town for returning, but left clear instructions for how to return to his friend's board-shop. It was a pleasure renting a board from him, the whole experience was seamless. Marcos gave me tips and advice on where to go, and even allowed me to swap my board mid-week without charge. 100% recommend, and will use his service again.

Best surfboard rental I’ve ever experienced! The selection of surfboards was amazing. My friend and I were able to choose boards that were almost identical to what we ride at home (mid-lengths) which is hard to come by. When we picked up the boards they were in basically new condition. The fins were sized accurately and the rental included wax. I was surprised to find the boards completely wax free (in the US the boards often come covered in wax, caked with sand and I always bring basecoat and a wax comb to redo it. I didn’t need it this time!). The communication with Marcos and his team was spot on. The flexibility of where to pick-up and drop-off the boards was fantastic as we changed our trip daily based on surf conditions and traveled throughout Portugal for the 2 weeks we had the boards. Marcos’ recommendations on location were great and we adjusted them based on our skill level and actual conditions once we arrived. I would rent from here again in a heart beat and wish board shops in the US would take a tip from Marco’s and PSR.

This surfboard rental agency was excellent. There is a large selection of surfboards to choose from. I had an issue with the fin box of the board I rented and they fixed it quickly. They made sure I had wax, fins, a leash, and knew where to go. Drop off and pick up was smooth and easy. I would definitely rent from them again.

I can't image me having better service and advice than Marcos and his crew running Portugal Surf Rentals. They went above and beyond getting my board dropped off and picked up at Praia Grande. Even though surf was small the week I rented I still found waves partly thanks to Marcos's help. This was my second time renting and whenever I'm back in Portugal I'll be sure to give them a shout.

This is an incredible surfboard rental experience. I highly recommend. I was traveling solo and couldn't bring my own boards for several reasons. I was hesitant as it can be hard to find a quality board to rent, but this was practically better than having my own. When I arrived for pickup, I was treated well, and pick up was easy and straightforward. I got a sweet little pyzel to surf for a week with fins, leash, wax, and inside a boardbag plus a wetsuit. The board was in great condition as advertised. Drop off was great too and I would totally tell my friends to hit up Marcos for a fantastic rental!

Absolute legends! Just rented a board & wetsuit for a whole month, super reasonable price considering! The wetsuit is like brand new & Marcos made sure I had enough wax to get me through, even helped me get it into my car & hooked me up with some soft racks to help me get around. Seamless experience for Renting all type of Boards in Portugal! We were a group of 10 and we managed to book online the boards and wetsuit we wanted depending of our level and expectations at a very competitive price leveraging also the advices from Marco. awesome guys at portugal surf rentals. Hooked me and my partner up with two longboards that were practically brand new. Dropped off to our location on time early and picked up late in evening, which enabled us to use the boards for our full rented time.
