Happened upon this place whilst wandering aimlessly looking for a decent place for a drink in the back streets. As soon as we saw this place it had quality written all over it. Seats in a pedestrianised street, basic tables and chairs which were all but one occupied..soon to be ours. We both were welcomed very warmly and said we were just having a couple of drinks...no problem. The food looked great and sharing platters of meats and cheese were flying out of the kitchen. The restaurant was buzzing, people laughing, smiling, drinking and eating it was like a carnival. We had eaten late so couldn't muster the hunger needed to do the fare on offer justice so we booked for 8.30 tonight. Having walked from Estoril we returned to our hotel there and got about an hours walking respite before setting out again for the restaurant. We arrived 5 minutes early and we were welcomed again with a smiley faced waitress. We ordered our drinks then decided to share a platter and some other items. Our platter consisted of several mixed cold cuts of charcuterie, various cheeses, potatoes with porchini, artichoke, peppers, tomato, greenery, chutney, garlic laced biscuits and bread. We also ordered the pigs cheeks with dauphinoise potatoes (probably the best we have ever had as laced with lashings of really flavoursome cheese and black peppercorns cooked to a perfect consistancy). After two more drinks we asked for the bill which was more than reasonable for the quality of food we had eaten. The staff were superb and the atmosphere made for an amazing night. Even though we were in there only two hours it was just the right place at the right time for us...thank you everyone.

The street in which this place is located is calm during the day and animated at night. It has been nicely decorated and you really feel the sea vibes in here. The staff is quite friendly and they are willing to help you out. Everything we tried was great and prices are not high. They also have some nice wines and cocktails !

Service and food were fantastic. The location is cute and we really enjoyed our time at the Taberna. Good choice for a relaxed drink and dinner. Prices are reasonable and the presentation of the food is extra nice. We hope to come back one day. Reservation recommended - it’s a popular spot.

This place is in my TOP 3 restaurants in Portugal and that’s saying a lot. Staff: All very friendly and seem to really enjoy their work. Service is fast and efficient. Atmosphere: Very vibrant and fun vibe. The seating outside is great for people watching as you enjoy your food. Food: The food is fresh and very tasty. Great presentation with nice plates. The dishes we got were all excellent. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a delicious meal with friendly staff and a fun atmosphere then this place is it!

Loved this place! Went twice during our Cascais visit. Excellent ambiance and service and food. Some unique cocktails as well. The mushroom pasta and the pesto pasta were simple, fresh and delicious

The yellow street is full of excellent restaurants and bars, but this one is certainly one of the best! Food was excellent, the manager and entire staff are super friendly and attentive. The Cocktails are also gorgeous. Make sure to visit as it can be very busy, especially during the weekend! They have indoor and outdoor seatings. Card and cash are accepted.

Restaurant was always full when passing by, finally managed to get a hold of a table and the wait was more than worth it. Slightly on the pricier side, however the food is amazing. the plates themselves aren’t the biggest but definitely not that small either. Wide selection of delicious cocktails which are surprisingly quite affordable too. Great service and atmosphere. Very quick and skilled workers. Only issue is the seating isn’t the best. Place is always full which is a great sign, however this means sometimes people are cramped next to each other which isn’t the most pleasant. Despite this, overall amazing and would definitely recommend for both tourists and locals!

We were very lucky to find a table around 6:30pm on a Monday. The waiters were polite and attentive and gave us shots of wine after we finished our dinner. However, the food experience was underwhelming. The sea platter consisted of patés and not fresh seafood as I'd expected. The taste was good though. The price was slightly expensive for what they offer. The focaccia with the pork was AMAZING! The meat was very well cooked and the filling was just right. The seating is slightly uncomfortable after a whole day's walk. The facilities were clean.

Food is 4 out of 5 star. It's good but nothing special. I would not go back. Service is 2 out of 5 star. I waited 21 minutes before I got water, sitting outside on a warm day. The waitress had to come back to ask for my order 30 minutes later. After thsy everything went faster. The place was not busy at all!! Unfriendly atmosphere, do not recommend. It has so many reviews and that's why I tried it but it's just a normal place.

Absolutely the best place we ate at during our recent trip to Portugal. The place is busy but they are great at accommodating walk-ins. The food is delicious - great menu, the vibe of the place is wonderful and we already can’t wait to visit again. Such an amazing find. Already recommended to friends!!

Everything was so good! Such a gem. We enjoyed the crispy seafood, potato skins, and fish appetizer board as starters. Loved the truffle ravioli and porchetta as mains.

Wonderful and chilled. Lots of outdoor seating, but gets very busy, so you might need to wait for a table (worth it though). Pretty decent wine list too.

Best restaurant in cascais hands down. Always packed. Music and vibe is perfect. Upon arrival your warmly welcomed, highly recommend booking though. Plenty of seating inside and out. Choice of food is varied and specials often change. Some excellent dishes and don't be afraid to order a lot just don't expect to finish it all, the portions are huge. It's unbelievable value for money. So good we came back twice during our 5 night stay.

Very cozy place on one of the narrow streets of the Cascais. The food was incredible, as well as beer, very friendly and helpful service, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. There is also an english menu. We had a late lunch around 15.30, the kitchen was closing at 15.50, and we received everything we ordered.

This place was an incredible discovery, let me tell you. Clearly, hordes of previous diners have showered this spot with praise, and now having experienced it ourselves, we wholeheartedly comprehend the hype. The joint was buzzing with activity, an electric atmosphere charged with the rhythm of Balearic house tunes. The night was exquisite, adorned with festoon lights casting a magical glow. What more could the ambiance possibly require? Sure, we invested a good 20-30 minutes playing the waiting game for a table, but let me assure you, every second was well spent. As we were finally summoned to our designated seats, our culinary exploration commenced. Our journey commenced with the seafood platter, a marvelously diverse array featuring assorted dips, anchovies, cheese, toast, grilled octopus, crackers, and a mind-blowing tomato creation. Subsequently, we ventured into shared territory with the flaked cod fish adorning a bed of potatoes, onions, cabbage, and kale. This culinary masterpiece was accompanied by a salad ensemble boasting lettuce, beetroot, soft-cheese and an awe-inspiring mighty pesto, and delightful asparagus spears. To complement this gastronomic delight, we embraced a white blended wine that was nothing short of sensational. And lo and behold, as we approached the conclusion of our feast and requested the bill, a delightful twist awaited us. The gracious server presented us with a complimentary shot of tawny Porto! A triumphant finale that indeed prepared us for the brisk and breezy Uber ride back to our haven at the resort. In a nutshell, the service was consistently attentive, the cuisine and wine flirted with the divine, and the atmosphere was a symphony of brilliance.

The atmosphere here is actually insane on so many great levels. Our waiter was from Brazil and he was the best waiter we’ve had our entire trip. And of course the food was great and the cocktails super sexy and fun. This was a good time.

I ordered the octopus with migas and spaghetti alla chitarra. Both were great, octopus was perfectly cooked and pasta was superb, though both were a little bit on the salty side. Had clandestino for the drink and tiramisu for the dessert. 👍👍👍. Must visit if you are in Cascai. Lastly, the staffs were very accommodating. I didn't have a reservation but i was given a table without the wait. Thank you!!

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
