A really nice beach minutes walk from the train station, but after being here a few times now it is not a place you come to bathe. While the beach is clean and well kept, the water is always freezing, too cold to enjoy swimming in even in the middle of the hottest days in august. Lots of cafes beside it make it a good place to laze in the sun, but without the ability to bathe without pain you might as well just park yourself in the sun at one of the cafes where the service is quicker.

Typical tourist beach, but we came here from adraga beach to snorkel. The water is super calm, sand beach (at praia da adraga the waces are super high for snorkel ). The prices at the bar are ok. Umbrella cost between 22-25€. For familys its nice.

We went during Labour Day and expected it to be super busy, but we got there at noon and it wasn’t bad. We got two loungers and an umbrella to rent for $25 euro for the day which was perfect! It was so hot out and as tourists we didn’t want to have to buy an umbrella. It got a little busier around 1:30 pm. The beach was nice and the water was refreshing. Lots of restaurants nearby too, very safe, and very clean beach!

We liked the beach but it's small and it t was packed with tourists and locals. Parking in the street can be a big problem. The water was extremely cold so we couldn't swim. There are restaurants and an ice-cream stand.
