Pizza was good, took quite some time even though the restaurant was pretty empty. A couple of reasons why I’m only giving it a 2 star, and I’m being nice! First of all, the employees were all rude, I could tell they were being much nicer to the locals! Even though I’ve lived here for a couple of years now, when you don’t speak Portuguese; they treat you different. When we asked for water, they first gave us the plastic bottles while other tables had glass water bottles, we asked for the same thing as others, he seemed annoyed. Second of all, when my mother asked for bread so she could eat it with her soup, she asked for the homemade bread stick, they gave her something else. She had to wait some time before receiving what she really asked for! Her soup was already cold. The tomato soup tasted like the tomato sauce in our pizzas... And for last, when it was time to pay, the waiter charged us for something we didn’t get! Not the first time this happen, ALWAYS CHECK THE RECEITS! It was our second time there, and I would never step a foot again at this restaurant, too bad they had a beautiful view of the water. Also it was a bit expensive compare to the local price in Cascais area. Being a waitress myself and my mom being a chef, we want better service when we go out, and that was not it. Tip : if you are looking for the best pizza place in Cascais go to Pizzeria II Siciliano ! ;)

This Italian restaurant in old town Cascais is run by its Italian owner and her Portuguese husband. We had not made reservations but they made room for us. We had a great dinner with tomatosoup, straciatella soup, ravioli, lasagna and tiramisu. All tasted very fresh and very Italian. A great choice with an amazing outdoor terrace!

We paid 14.5€ for a caprese salad that has just one chopped small tomato with mozzarella. My friend had a rocket salad which barely ingredients. The owner's response is indicative of the service

Expensive for what you get. Salad was terrible. Few lettuce leaves. Poor service. Never asked a question like how is everything…Wish we had left before ordering. View is nice.

Do not trust an "Italian" restaurant that substitutes Prosecco with sparkling water for their Aperol Spritz recipe, yet has the audacity to charge you 9€!. What a rip off. Just follow the recipe that's actually printed on the bottle but don't offer your watered-down tourist version.

Mediocre food, the starter portions are very small and expensive, not worth the money for what you get. Staff were also rude.

Not a real Italian pizza. Taste was ok , but it was just a thin slice of dough with toppings. Attention of the staff was good

This restaurant has a beautiful setting. It provides indoor and outdoor dining options. The outdoor area has beautiful views of Cascais. If it’s windy you should bring a sweater/top as you may find it chilly. The food here is really nice. Pepperoni pizza has lovely thin crispy base, made fresh. Starters also very nice. Recommend the tuna salad or mozzarella and tomato. Nice selection of Portuguese and Italian wines. Service is generally very goodalthough on my last visit it was exceptionally busy and waiting staff were under a bit of pressure to stay on top of everything. If you are dining with a group then I suggest you reserve a seat on n advance to avoid disappointment.

Dont think that you can step by only to drink coffee. Cafe Italia is a catchy name but completely not accurate for a restaurant. Read other reviews they are quite funny :)

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
