Restaurant Asador

👍 Famous for its chicken with fries. You can also substitute the fries for salad. Cant to both sides together. We also got the shredded cod fish which was delicious. People often mention chicken, good, service, delicious,

Good prices and good portions, full of flavours (at least the chicken) which is the main point of this place! The only issue, cash only, so make sure you have some cash otherwise you’ll have to go to the nearest atm! Overall the experience was okay.

Great quality & portions with a peri peri chilli oil that’s to die for ! Peri peri roast chicken & chips for my Ironman after his race & I had one of the most succulent grilled octopus with potatoes for between €10-15pp. Fast no nonsense service is exactly what I liked. And generous house pour wine that is better than any house pours I’ve had in pubs. Cash only pls!

It was a solid meal. The restaurant didn't have many people when we went but the staff didn't seem too friendly for a place that is tourist-friendly. There were flies flying all over as well, which was not pleasant. The food was a 4 star but the rest of the experience was a 3 star but rounding up.

Good quality food served quickly and tasteful. Roasted chicken is the main staple dish. Desert was also very good. We had the chocolate and mango mousses. Very enjoyable. Negative is the location. Being so close to the road, which is very busy and noisy. But good priced food.

Nice and cheap portions. We ordered barbecued chicken and lamb. The chicken was ok, but the lamb was a little bit dry and tasteless. Prices are ok (1/2 chicken 10€, bottle of wine 10€, lamb 18€). Most of the seating is in an outdoor terrace

We waited a long time to get the good. The staff couldn't handle how much people there were and were making mistakes with our order. The guide we had recommended it place the be the best, but it was the exact opposite. The cod was so salty it wasn't edible. They definitely didn't soak it long enough. The chicken was decent. It felt like a tourist trap, to which you don't come back. I had a feeling the guide has an arrangement with the owner to bring the tourist over.

I ordered a very simple dish, a green salad, and you won’t believe what I found inside the bowl. There was a live snail slugging around! Awful service. All they did was apologize and they didn’t even replace my dish. The waiter said, and I quote “there are a lot of snails in the lettuce when we are washing it so it happens.” I highly recommended staying away from this restaurant as they do not care about their customers and do not pay attention when preparing meals.

Thanks to a break down I had a short stay in Cascais. Luckely the "Jardím dos Frangos" - Chicken garden- was close by our hotel. I went there 3 times for dinner. Doesn't matter if Chicken, spaghetti or salmón.... Everything is fresh and tasty. Soups, vegs, rice or boiled potatoes are perfect. The service is very professional, polite and attentive!!!!! I only can say.....congratulations to this well run restaurant!!!

You know the food will be good because there is nobody trying to lure you in, no pictures of the food & they have older staff. It is cash only so had to run back to the room. Its close to the road so depending on meal time can get a bit hectic getting there. Bread is 1euro per person, butter is almost 1 euro for the table and 3 euros for the cheese plate. All in all food was delicious!

Very slow service, but they have draft black beer. Try cod Portuguese style - delicious local food.

The specialty of the house is chicken and fries. We ordered that and service was extremely quick, our dish was served in less than 5 minutes. Quite good as well. Just remember they don't take any cards, cash only. There is an ATM machine just next door if you need it

Nice place for lunch while touring Cascais, especially if you're hungry! The chicken is very flavorful and delicious. Service is hurried, but at least they get you in and out quickly if you're pressed for time.

We ordered Grilled Garlic Chicken with Piri piri oil and Garlic shrimps, it was delicious! Probably one of the best that I have had in a long time! Highly recommend!

This place has a lot of things going for it - very centrally located, the food is of an excellent quality and a very good value. However, they could do with buying a zapper for the flies (as they were going for my drink quite a lot) and also some staff weren’t very personable). Overall very good, but a couple of areas to tighten up on.

The "frango a casa" is really the best. Juicy and well seasoned but they have much more than just Chicken. Nice and cozy place with reasonable prices and great customer service.

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
