Hotel is great, but I have to write my review about the salon. I just had the worst haircut of my life here and wanted to make sure it’s avoided at all costs. It was shocking today when he said my cut was finished. And then proceeded to ask my for 25€ and walked me to the ATM Avoid this salon at all costs. What a waste of time and space. I’m embarrassed to go to my next haircut appointment to fix this. It’s such a joke. It’s much worse than the foto I’m sharing. I would share more but I’m too embarrassed.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in the world. Location: it’s right near Cascais without being near all the tourists. You can easily walk there via the promenade- I felt safe even walking back at night. The outdoor pool is gorgeous, with full poolside drink and food service. The indoor spa/pool is truly amazing though. Multiple pools with crazy massage jets, steam room, sauna, etc. Amazing service! They even saw it was my fiancé’s birthday and sent a cake and champagne to the room. No kids with us but this hotel was really kid friendly - they even have a kids room with a ball pit. And the breakfast was really good as well. I would only stay at this place when I come to Cascais.

We stayed in this hotel in October, while in Portugal for wedding. We had a fantastic stay. The customer service is impeccable - everyone was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond for my family. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were specious, beautiful, and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel which is well maintained since its inception. It is nicely located in front of the Cascais-Lisbon boulevard with direct acces to the beach and beach bar & restaurant Azimut. It is a spectacular 5 star hotel and breakfast near the pool is impeccable. As this is a big hotel, service may be sometimes be impersonal and also be mindful of the 'conferencing' squads at certain times:-)

Five stars hotel with a real five stars service. Staff is amazing and really helpful to the guests. The menu has a lot of options if you want a dish or simply a snack you will not be disappointed. Prices are aligned with a five stars experience. Parking is available. Definitely recommend. I will return many more times for sure

Amazing hotel. Good value, friendly staff, great spa and gym leaves nothing to ask for. If I ever get stuck in an endless time-loop, then this is the place.

There were 2 new reservationists at the front desk. They were very kind, but did not know where the health spa was when I asked them. It took about 10 minutes of standing and waiting until the other reservationist was done checking in another guest to find out where it was located. This is no fault of the new employees, it is more management's responsibility to inform new employees of where facilities are located. I think the management needs work. I had called the reservation desk to get an estimate on hiring a private transfer and also requested an estimate upon my arrival. I never received an answer to my question, until I called a couple of days later. Housekeeping is very friendly and accommodating and kind. They seemed the least stressed out out of all the people working at this resort. The rooms are dated and need a facelift. The view is amazing. The pool is nice, but everyone seemed stressed out: servers, reservationist, and it did not seem very busy. For the amount of money being spent, I would definitely choose another resort next time around.

The rooms are nice, spacious and comfortable. The cleaning was really well done and the cleaning crew was nice and helpful. The view to the seaside is exceptional, the backrooms overlook a quiet street. Only the ventilation system from the restraunts could be heard from there. Overall a luxurious, very good hotel with exceptional service personal.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was a beautiful hotel with spacious and clean rooms. The breakfast had excellent quality and offered a wide range of choices, and the service staff was attentive and professional. Especially, the food at the restaurant on the 2nd floor of the hotel was very, very delicious. If we return to Cascais, we will definitely come back here.

We were positively surprised by the high quality of the hotel. Cascáis Miragem maintains high, luxurious standards in a middle of a developing, up and coming area. The prices are fair, the rooms are clean and well equipped. The decoration is classic (from the 90s I guess) but it is well maintained and functions very well. The views are spectacular especially from the 6th floor. The SPA, pools and gym are relatively new and are of the best quality. The SPA includes salt water pool, Turkish hammam, sauna and an internal pool (laps). In the 3rd floor there’s an external infinity pool with great view. The service is very good -across all departments. The employees are nice, helpful, positive and speak English. Highly recommended

This should be your first port of call should you prefer a 5 Star experience in Cascais. The staff, the clientelle, the Hotel and the location will satisfy and exceed your expectations. If you are disappointed you are nit picking! I find the staff to be dedicated, knowledgeable, informative, enthusiastic and friendly too.

Comfortable rooms. Breakfast quite basic and could improve on quality of ingredients; better bread, fresh cut fruits (now from the fridge, cut earlier), etc. Compared with other five star hotels the breakfast is below average.

My second home❣️ Reviewed June 12, 2023 So happy to be back my favorite hotel in my favorite town in the world! It’s like my second home. I was greeted at the door by Carlos and Alex. Especially excited seeing my friends Nu Nu, Sofia, Aldair, and several new beautiful faces. Sofia introduced me to Ruben the Assistant Hotel Manager who, like Nu Nu and Sofia have worked here for 18 years! At breakfast, I was so happy to see Jose, the restaurant manager, who recognized and greeted me right away. Also it’s awesome that they gave me a room with a stand-alone shower (I have a bathtub phobia due to several slipping episodes). The room, 807, have the view angle I loved. I have already booked to come back same time next year!

Went for a week. The food in hotel was delicious and fresh. Rooms were very clean and spacious. View was amazing. Staff was outstanding and very very courteous. Would definitely stay here again. Our kids loved everything about this place. Indoor and outdoor Pools were very clean and were never crowded. Beach and other restaurants all walking distance. Couldn't have picked a better place! Will definitely be returning here

Beautiful property, wonderful staff, huge rooms with great water front views, and all around an elegant and incredible place to stay! Walkable to downtown, wonderful food on the property, amazing amenities like a water lounge with salt baths/huge pool and gym - was a luxurious place to relax and enjoy. I will be back and highly recommend!

Would highly recommend this hotel. It’s beautiful, well kept, and feels luxurious. We had great service, no issues. The rooms aren’t lavish but they’re nice and clean and what I’d expect in a European hotel. The “water spa” and buffet breakfast (which are both included) were definite highlights. Beautiful pool with amazing views. We would definitely stay here again.

Very dated interior, as noted by other reviewers. For a five star hotel, I expected better service and more attention to detail. It was difficult to gain the attention of staff to order drinks and food by the pool. The staff at breakfast never offered espresso coffee or cooked breakfasts. There was buffet available. There was no feeling of warmth or welcoming by the staff. Nobody offered to assist us with our luggage upon arrival. The housekeeping staff were lovely though. A lot of smoking around the hotel, in particular other guests in neighbouring rooms smoking on their balcony and it wafted into our room. We didn’t realise we had been defaulted into a smoking floor. Poor soundproofing as well. The pool and spa areas were special.

Enjoyed every part of my stay there. Great location within walking distance to the marina with great food and shopping plus a beautiful view of the ocean. Staff could not be more accommodating. I was surprised to find a bottle of champagne as well as dessert for my birthday gratis from the Hotel staff. Breakfast by the pool was excellent with many choices. The 6th floor water spa with sauna and steam room were a plus, especially after a long day of sightseeing. Parking garage located on site for your rental car. I highly recommend a drive up the coast. Stunning views. I will be back!

Can’t wait to return here! Fabulous hotel with great facilities in a beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful at every turn, the room and view was fantastic, and the pool area was very relaxing. Genuinely already looking at planning a return trip here it was that good. Thank you!! 🌴☀️🇵🇹

You are never going to want to leave this hotel! I certainly didn't. I was only supposed to stay a few days and ended up nearly staying three weeks. The location and rooms are beautiful, the staff is warm, responsive, and friendly. The food is fantastic. The SPA... one of the best massages I've ever had in life by Patricia, and the water lounge is just heavenly. Having Holmes Place on the property is an added plus. Believe the reviews and just stay here. You wont be disappointed. I'll certainly be back.

Wonderful lobby and pool! Rooms are decent but could be asthetically even better! Good service! The location is spectacular along with the views! Expensive but beautiful!

Such a beautiful beachside escape! Picturesque views of a gorgeous pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with views of the marina and Estoril. Access to Holmes Place gym is great as it is quite extensive with many services. Room service breakfast was perfect as was the bar. Situated close to the town of Cascais, this is the perfect resort for a vacation or a quick 30 minute escape from Lisbon. I can’t wait to return in August and annually after that!

Attended a conference here. The staff of the hotel were excellent in their service. Hotel food was very good and their waiters were very accommodating of any requests. Buffet selection was very wide.

The restaurant location was excellent and the views even better. Their Moscow mules were absolutely delicious. Had their veal and rösti for main and a few different desserts. The veal was nicely cooked, but the rösti was a bit boring. They surprised us with a pre-dessert of strawberry and almond cream which was one of my favourite parts of the dinner. Service was great and plates were coming out the kitchen at a fast pace.

We booked 4 treatments at SPA. What a shame! There are 2 spas it seems! One is run by HOLMES PLACES and does not have any of the usual spa facilities, no pool, so sauna, etc... and is what is offered to external visitors without more details... In reality there is a pool on the 6th floor which is for clients only and is what is described on the hotel site as "health and spa". When we arrrived at the 'SPA" we were sent to HOLMES PLACE and we discovered just a corridor with treatment rooms and a small relaxation area overlooked by guests.... Don t be fooled by the site, if you book a Spa as a visitor you will be confined to this small area, with smelly toilets and shared bathrooms...you will not be able to access the pool, the "heath club and spa' as described on the site but only the treatment rooms. This is not a spa but only a corridor with treatment rooms....

We enjoyed the atmosphere was nice and people watching from all nations. The food was ok for afternoon snack. Nice pool and clean appearance of hotel. Warning : do not fall down the stairway to ground floor as a person may have a hard time distinguishing one step from another : a mirage! Thanks

The Miragem is lovely. The staff is excellent. My bed was very comfortable. I was there on business not vacation, but the hotel made my evenings feel like vacation. I ate at the hotel several times and was always pleased with the food. The breakfast and dinner buffets' were very, very good. Other restaurants and the beach were an easy walking distance away. I even walked to the grocery store just 2-3 blocks away. Miragem will be my first choice if I return to Lisbon/Cascais.

A really great hotel, very well maintained and staffed (I was sorry to see that they occasionally have to put up with rude and self entitled guests…) located a short and pleasant walk from the centre of Cascais. I loved the marble floored lobby and lavishly decorated with beautiful bouquets of flowers. Also loved having breakfast by the pool. Our room sas spacious with a large terrace offering sweeping views of the ocean. The perfect place to relax!

Fantastic hotel. Carolina Sousa on reception was brilliant as she went the extra mile to locate our lost (by the airline) luggage Great pool area, warm and friendly service. We will definitely be back

Terrific view, talented employees that see within your soul what your wishes are. Very windy rooftop in the end of summer. Small swimming pool but pleasant. No parking other than inside the hotel. Very busy road right in front of the building and before the beach.

Nice hotel, big rooms, well appointed, nice ocean-facing deck rooms available. Ample and included parking on site. Complete breakfast buffet service. Recommend for a short stay in Cascais.

  • 1/5 Maria C. 1 year ago on Google
Very disappointed. The room is outdated, food comes with a plastic top, as if you’d use it for a microwave. For a 5star hotel this is unacceptable. I paid 180 euros for spa/massage. We were not even given a bathrobe to cover ourselves after. The bed in the delux room is really small, I thought it was for 1 person only. Do not recommend this hotel

Was here for a two day event. The location is superb, the food they served really great and the services professional

I have stayed several times at Cascais Miragem in the past 15 years both on business stay (as a conference organizer) and privately. The hotel is absolutely TOP. It has been keeping the standrd all the time, beautifully designed, perfectly clean, the service is excellent, food is great. I believe all starts with the very professional and client oriented General Manager Mr Jose Branco. Each time I, my clients, my family or my friends stayed at Miragem we had an absolutely amaizing time. I can recommend the hotel for both conferences and events and for holidays or private visits.
