We went here for a quick bite and a drink. We opted for Aqui É Petisco. The waiting staff were not friendly even if I ordered in Portuguese. They had no caracois 😭 this can happen but the meat balls we had were luke warm and not flavoursome. We’ll visit again but we’ll try another joint at the market.

If you are in Alges I recommend you visit this place, it's nice inside, it has good air circulation, it has places to drink, to eat different styles of food, you have a very good Artesani ice cream shop, it's a good place to cool off, talk, drink with friends, important note: During the day it is a bit difficult to know if it is open or closed, there are not many people and the entrance is a bit difficult to find, I suggest you ask someone when you are around the place

I had a terrible experience at this place. We booked a table to watch a Brazil football match and were told we’d have to come earlier because Portugal was also playing on the same day (fair enough). We arrived on time, ate, drank, spend quite a bit (we were a large ish group of friends) only to be told that there was going to be no sound on the match we came to watch! Mind you, the whole bar at this point wanted to watch the match and were chanting for the sound to come on. We spoke to various people (including the owner!) who were rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. Owner said no tables could be reserved so he clearly doesn’t know what his own staff are doing. They threw us on a side bit where fish are treated during the day market. It stinks, it’s cold, the sound system is horrible because it echoes. There’s no table service which is stupid of them because lots of people were drinking and now they don’t want to miss the match to get a drink. Apart from that, food that we had earlier was very ordinary, fries were cold. They try to be like the Timeout Market but are FAR FROM IT. To be fair: place is not expensive (but I live in an expensive city, so hey), waitress service was good before that.

This a great place to go for food and drinks. A great selection of plates from all over the world, everything from Mexican to sushi to steaks and burgers . All served up in a lovely setting with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you are in Alges.

I love this place. It’s much smaller than time out and not touristy at all, plus has outside seating. The food is wonderful from all stalls.

Great option for different types of restaurants and opened space. This is a better version of mercado da ribeira with no tourists. They have now renewed the market and it looks amazing.

The Algés market is a fantastic spot to enjoy a delightful dish of fish accompanied by vegetables and potatoes. It's an ideal place for an enjoyable evening with friends and family, whether you're looking for a satisfying dinner or simply some refreshing drinks. The market offers a wide array of culinary options, ranging from Portuguese and Mexican to Asian and Italian cuisine. You can also relish the lively ambiance with big TV screens showcasing sports events, live music performances, and entertaining stand-up comedy shows. Furthermore, there are ample outdoor seating arrangements available. I highly recommend visiting this remarkable venue. Highly recommended at very affordable prices.

We absolutely loved this food hall. It has a farmer's market also, that unfortunately wasn't open In this food hall, you had everything from Asian food, Mexican, Portuguese, etc. the had several bars and a stage which they use for singing and stand up comedy. Again, when we went it wasn't happening. They offer 2 for 1 drinks Thursday through Saturday for after work hours. Again, it wasn't the same time we went. So, the possibilities here are abound. I had seafood and it was great. The salad I had with my salmon was great, the veggies not so much. The grilled pepper and shrimp was really good. My husband had the Asian food and his soup was way too salty. My son had the spaghetti bolognese and he liked it, but I tried and not so much. He liked it, so whatever. We had a sangria that was sooooo good. I am obsessed with the sangria's here. The inside seating was rather hot so we went outside and it was nicer, but we felt the music was rather loud. Maybe because there wasn't too many people if felt loud. Regardless, we will definitely be back!! Hope to make it to one of their many events.

Time out Market in Lisbon is VERY touristic. This one is full of local and the variety of food is still wonderful. Great quality. Simply more authentic

"Aqui é petisco", don't eat here, food is terrible and salty. I asked Bacalhau com natas was salty and a lot of liquid. Even I asked before if it's salty or not.

This place is an excellent alternative to Time Out at Cais do Sodré. Well organized, clean, and less crowded, it offers delicious options for food and snacks. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the prices are affordable. They also have different cultural activities and a bar with good wines and other beverages. If you want a place less crowded than Time Out, this place is a must-go.

A small food court with good-quality meals and cocktails. We particularly enjoy the petiscos and the poke bowls.

Great food and choice. Eateries that don't have English menus on the wall beside them all seem to have English menus if you ask at the counter. Only downside is that the music is loud, so if you want to relax more, are hard of hearing or not in the mood for noise, this may annoy some people.

Excellent place to meet friends, have a drink and chat. Great variety of food and drinks. A must go place in Algés. For lunch of dinner. It also has a food market on the other side, with fruits and fish booths.
