Paulinha

Restaurant

👍👍 This was the most authentic lunch we had on our Portugal trip! The owner managed everything on her own and was such a sweet and nice lady. Very welcoming. We call this kind of food “Mamma kitchen”, like if your mum made you this dish and you can feel all the love and tradition she put into it while... People often mention good,

Great small restaurant with delicious local food. We tried codfish with potatoes and cream and grilled codfish. Both dishes were very tasty. Restaurant maybe don't look modern like some others in the town but food and wine definitely deserve highest rating. Paulinha was very nice and friendly.

Cute little shop with pastry and few entrees. Wanted to try the codfish with cream, but they were out. I had the Portuguese Pasta instead, which is not good.. not much taste at all, Pasta is not cooked right, and very little meat bits. Maybe the other food item is good, you can skip the pasta. The lady is very nice, and the price is reasonable for the area.

This was the most authentic lunch we had on our Portugal trip! The owner managed everything on her own and was such a sweet and nice lady. Very welcoming. We call this kind of food “Mamma kitchen”, like if your mum made you this dish and you can feel all the love and tradition she put into it while cooking. We loved it here, we loved her, we loved the food!! Hidden gem for sure! She lived in Brazil for 25 years but is Portuguese so that’s why some of her meals got a Brazilian twist to them. The food was incredible. The fish was so nicely seasoned with garlic and cilantro, and she asked beforehand if we love cilantro or not. The smashed potatoes were good too and the salad was very fresh and crispy. For dessert I had a piece of her perfectly baked chocolate cake, which was one of the best I have ever tasted. Will definitely come back if I’m ever again in Cascais/Lisboa.

So happy I found this restaurant by chance. Food is gorgeous, homemade with lots of love. Paulinha is a very talented and lovely cook who takes pleasure and pride running her restaurant. It is so genuinely atmospheric, you feel like you are at Paulinha’s home, in her kitchen. The Brazilian style fish was really nice and the desserts were just divine. Why is not very restaurant like that?

The place is totally off circuit, kind of simple and humble, but the food os great! We tried the codfish plus potatoes and vegetables and the codfish with “natas”. The wine was not good but “ok”. Amazing place.

Great homemade food. The bacalhau com natas were delicious, especially on a cold night! I didn't have room for dessert so will need to come back. Definitely recommend. Paulinha is the sweetest person and speaks perfect English!

Excellent local homemade food, Portuguese traditional style. The menu is small but made with care, and, as other reviews have mentioned, the owner is very gracious and helpful with suggestions.

Genuine Portuguese food and sweeties. Great coffee and cosy atmosphere. Vegetarian snacks (empadinhas) are amazing. Highly recommended!

Nice little restaurant run by a lovely lady who was warm and reminded me of my family back home. Codfish with potatoes was insanely tasty and fairly priced for what you receive. Would highly recommend to try.

Cod and cream looks nice to start with, unfortunately the middle is still cold, needs to be in the oven for a bit longer

If you’re curious what it would be like to have a Portuguese grandmother, this will answer that question! The sweetest lady greeted us, took our orders, cooked the food, and served it for us too. I felt genuinely guilty not doing the dishes. The food was as authentic as you can get, and the chocolate cake was absolutely amazing (and gluten and sugar free but honestly you won’t know or care).

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
