Indoor, spacious food market with good spacial separation and almost everyone wearing masks; so good COVID prevention measures. Fruit & vegetables and flowers fill the main hall, with butcher’s shops and a separate fish hall. Beautiful fresh produce and a must see; Wednesdays and Saturdays being the days when it’s fully open.

Fantastic market which I visited on a Saturday morning, when all the fresh produce is available. I believe Wednesday & Sunday, the fresh market is on too. There are other days which is when they have flea markets and other events, so check out the schedule as there might be other markets on too. It was busy but a nice busyness and bustling with locals and tourists alike. Plenty of fresh fish, fruit, vegetables and cheese available from the various stalls. I got some cheese from the French cheese stall and it was delicious! There are a number of food & drink outlets too, including Local Healthy Kitchen upstairs. All perfect for a quick refuel and sit down. A cash machine is available just as you walk in. Well worth a visit if you’re in Cascais, but try to get there before noon/early afternoon as I imagine many sellers start to pack up by then.

Came to buy some fresh fruit…ended up having coffee and staying there for lunch!! The fruit is so fresh you can smell it!! All organic and ‘ugly’. Taste to die for. People are so friendly and are willing to have a chat and explain what they’re selling. Language barrier may hinder this. There is a Gypsy market every Wednesday here too. Can’t go wrong for half a day. Give it a go.

What a super market. We visited on Wednesday which was listed online as one of the busy days. It was brilliant, such a huge variety of clothing and souvenirs for tourists in the outside area. We enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. Inside there was fresh fruit, veg, cheese and flowers etc. You could also buy from the little stalls. We tried different pastries and coffee's from various. Prices varied wildly from stall to stall so double check before you buy food.

Fresh food market (they also have a small street market to the side) open only on Wednesdays & Saturdays as far as I know, but there are small cafes and restaurants right around it that are open everyday. Didn’t see many tourists here and local vendors were nice to let us try the fruits before buying. Would recommend a visit especially if you’re staying in Cascais and planning to cook at your Airbnb.

A nice place with a good restaurant serving Italian dishes. Several tables in the building where you can find hand-made items, very good quality. There are also many items with less good quality and quite a few cafés.

Better market for clothes etc at carcevelous on Thursday. BUT food section is awesome. Met lovely girl with samples of wine and delicious cheeses and meats, promoting her restaurant Rubro, a must!!

A good place to buy groceries in Cascais. There is always a stand where you can get coffee and a bun for your breakfast while walking around the Marcado. There is good selection of fish, vegetables, fruits, cheese and flowers. The people are very friendly even if you don't speak Portuguese they will help you. And at least for me the quality is way better then the Lidl or Auchen one. The prices are also lower. You can get very beautiful flowers here for not big price 🙌

We visited Wednesday when is open until 2:00PM. Is bustling with action. On one side, there are the home goods, clothing, shoes, handbags, etc. The other side has fruits, vegetables, fish, meats. All looking delectable and tempting. It is a great opportunity to experience the local flavor of Cascais.

A massive market that offers a massive variety of goods to buy from fresh produce to arts and crafts. There are entertainments on some days which is quite nice specially when sitting around the restaurant areas. There are a number of cafes that sells food and drinks including alcohol. Outside the market, they also have a carboot sale on special days. A large number of sellers offering variety of used and new items, knick knacks and antiques. Mercado da Vila is a nice place to visit with your family as it offers that sense of community.

Really like this place. Good fresh vegetables and fruit. Nice places to heat and plenty of parking space (payed as everywhere in Cascais). Close to the centre and all possible to do walking in amazing whether. The covered area of the market is quite large and allows for a lot of small retailers to sell their own hand maid products. Sometimes a really serving timber boards is being sold there with very high standard in a quite reasonable price (worth visiting and buying from it).

I loved this home baked Vegan bread and cakes shop. You can find their store at the end of the market closed to the Cheese shop. Good reasonably priced for fresh Vegan baked goods. Their bakery is located in Sintra. They are only there on Saturday 🧁

The best local atmosphere is here to Mercado da Vila. Amazing tasty products, best restaurants and lovely community spirit but hey, tourists are so welcomed that they never feel to go away.

🫤 It was the worst bowling club I had ever been. Tracks had a lot glitches, one of them counted virtual ball throws, another didn't count any throws sometimes. They didn't give bowling shoes. The kitchen didn't work.

👍 It is a beautiful place, but a bit dirty. The wind blows a lot of leaves and such into the oceanic pool so it is kinda unpleasant to go in. Still, very pretty and there is a beach right by.
