We LOVED this tour and we love Sofia!! From the moment she picked us up from the train station to the moment she dropped us off at the city center, we enjoyed every minute of conversation and storytelling in between. We learned so much about both Sintra and Cascais in such a short period of time. A few days before the tour we were notified that Sintra would be closed due to some recent fires. Sofia reorganized our itinerary and set up a whole new tour for us (amazing customer service!) We explored all across the coast line and saw some beautiful beaches along the way. We would 1000% recommend this tour, definitely book!

Marcus was very kind, patient, knowledgeable and passionate about his tour guiding of Sintra. The tour is well paced, and covered the key areas of Sintra (Peña Palace and the hilltop monastery). The coastal drive from Cascais back to Lisbon is very enjoyable too. Marcus gave really good recommendations of places to eat in Sintra and also provided more recommendations for us in Lisbon. Plus, he speaks really good English!! Would highly recommend!! :)

Sofia was AMAZING, she has a great energy and great knowledge. The tour to sintra was great it felt like a road trip with friends. 100% recommended. All the places are beautiful! Plus: Sofia the guide, is a swiftie 💕 - what else do you need? Lol

Sofia, our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Portugal. She made the tour interesting and fun. There wasn’t a boring moment during the whole tour. She will also give us some alone time to explore on our own. She answered every question we had. If you are looking a private tour to visit Sintra and the coastline of Cascais, this is your best option.

Wow! Marcus was a phenomenal tour guide. From beginning to end I felt well taken care of. I'm not a history buff at all and was definitely just there for the beautiful photos, however I was so impressed by Marcus' knowledge. My favorite parts were definitely Cabo da Roca which was a nice surprise and the Portuguese lunch, which was also unexpected. Marcus was a joy to be around and I really forgot I was on a guided tour, felt I was with friends instead :)

What can I say from this experience? You are immediately immersed in the Portuguese history with the opportunity to be guided by one of the best tour guides I had the opportunity to meet so far, Sofia really made our experience. I can only recommend doing this tour as you will not only learn historical facts of the region but having fun while doing it. Thank you Sofia, we will be back :)

Today we took a tour around Quinta da Regaleira, Cabo de Roca and Cascais. Spending most of our morning in Sintra with the lovely Marcus! He had so much knowledge of Sintra and Lisbon he gave us facts even whilst driving us around. Offered to take photos for the group and offered us his jacket when the weather turned cold! We will fondly remember this excursion - full of fun and felt so at ease here in Lisbon! Thank you Marcus :)

Sofia is so lively and full of energy. I took the tour first week of October 2022 and the weather was perfect. The pick-up from Time Out Lisbon was convenient. The journey was easy because we got the van to ourselves and rode along the small roads from Sintra to Cabo da Roca. Would recommend for someone who has a limited time in Lisbon and wants to see many places in a day. She also gave good recommendations of places in Lisbon.

Sofia is a great tour guide! It was a super fun day, 100% recommend. Make sure to listen to her and bring a jacket, the viewpoints can get quite windy.

Sintra is definitely worth to visit when you come to Lisbon. And Sofia is a excellent travel guild.She is funny, knowledgeable and very comfortable to get along with. Highly recommended it.😊

Sofia took us for an amazing day in Sintra beyond palaces, oceans and forests to a special experience where I got to feel like friends for a day. The energy, planning and care in each part of the tour was evident. We got to skip long lines and see sites without rushing; all wrapped with a guide who obviously loves (personality x 10 and a hilarious storytelling capacity). What an amazing human. This is money and time well spent. There are many tours to Sintra but this small group tour was well balanced between seeing sites and connecting with people for a day.

Myself and two friends booked a tour of Sintra and Cascais with Andre and Sofia. The tour group was small and intimate, atmosphere was comfortable, and Sofia was super friendly, knowledable, and all around great to follow on the tour. She made the tour very interactive and was talking with as opposed to at the group. My friends and I had an awesome time and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! If you're thinking of booking with Andre and Sofia, do it!!

I can’t say enough good things or recommend this tour enough! Come for the magic of Sintra, stay for Sofia :).. She is beyond lovely and by far the best tour guide (and now friend) I’ve ever had anywhere .. amazing and thoughtful storytelling, never skimps on all the history and favorite tidbits of her country. It’s rare to find such a genuine person while on vacation but that’s truly who she is. The best, genuine, insiders tour of Sintra you’ll find, hands down :).

If you truly want to experience the sights - this is the way to do it! Sofia is a wonderful person and an amazing guide. She created a uniquely fun day for 9 strangers from 5 different countries! She really made sure everyone was included in all the fun and she taught us well with her wealth of historical knowledge! It was a memorable experience and hope to message her again for the next trip. It was sad to leave at the end of the day but it is not the end, it is the beginning! 🌊😉

You won’t find a better tour than this, not only because Sintra and Cascais are amazing places to visit, but also because the tour guide, Sophia is top notch. She is very knowledgeable of the locations as she grew up there. She is engaging and treated everyone on the tour like friends. She made sure she spoke to the group, but also each of us individually. Her anecdotes of growing up here and the stories she told of Sintra were captivating. Best tour experience ever!

We had the best day on Sofia's tour. We felt comfortable and had fun right from the beginning. It was like spending the day with a great friend. She is so knowledgable and very funny! There were six others on the trip, from all over the world and we all wanted to continue hanging out after the tour was over, exchanging contact info for when we visit each others countries; Sofia created the magical atmosphere for that to happen. I think we all feel we have a friend in Sofia for life as well.

This tour was the best decision we made during our trip to Lisbon. Sofia was AMAZING! We became fast friends and loved soaking up all of the interesting facts and information she gave us while laughing and having a great time. She gave us a personalized tour of Sintra and Cascais and we can’t wait to come back! 10/10 recommend this tour if you want to have a great day!
