We passed up many restaurants offer fish. We happened upon this gem of a place when we traveled to Cascais from Lisbon. It was so nice to have a feed of seafood that delivered so large an order of fish. The seafood was very fresh and the breeze brought the smell of the Atlantic Ocean to our table making it a real seafood experience. We enjoyed the Mixed Seafood Platter. 5stars

One of the best fish restaurants we tried in the city, very central, the service was great and the food was delicious. Highly recomend!

Really good fresh food. A Portuguese taxi driver suggested this place to us and it did not disappoint. Not all the waiters speak English, but they are very nice and the fish is fresh and delicious.

Excellent food and service! The portions are quite delicious and big - it was a great experience. We ordered the octopus and the calamari, both were spectacular. Worth visiting if you are in Cascais.

We had a superb dinner as a large group this evening. Clams and oysters to start were both excellent. Four friends shared a whole sole fish (priced by weight but price was good and made v clear before settling on it). Grilled perfectly. Octopus was delicious also, well cooked and very tender. Price was approx 45€ pp with starters, mains, desserts, two excellent bottles of wine and quite a few beers. Great staff who were friendly and didn’t mind making space as soon as an extra friend joined. Definitely good value for money and will definitely return.

Wow, I do not have a lot of words to describe this place, you can just have a look at the pictures below... I came from the sud of Italy in a small town over the Mediterranean Sea and this place did something magic. It allowed me to feel at home with amazing and astonishing smells and tastes. Everything was even higher than my expectations. I would super suggest to try O Pescador in Cascais, if you sit outside you will have a chill fresh atmosphere. Waiters really professional and expert. All of them speak English, probably Spanish and Italian as well. Absolutely 5 stars and please try those mussels! For one entré, 3 starters and 2 second dishes I paid around 75 euros without wine, honest price!

Nice food but not the cheapest. The staff were friendly too. Remember the bread/olives is not free in Portugal. So you will have to pay if the waiter puts them on your table.

Fantastic restaurant in Cascais, provides quality seafood. The restaurant seems to be a well know restaurant for artist / politicians and jet set, from all picture hanging on wall of restaurant. The food was superb , tasty, savory, fresh. Reasonable well priced. Wide selection of wines also offers kid menu.

Classic Portuguese fish restaurant, been at it for 20 years, they do what they are good at no reason to change. Great food on a lovely day

Sunday lunch. 4 of us. I had the octopus, mango & lime ceviche. The others had the Lulas & Prawns. I only wanted one glass of wine... no choice... just vino tinto W no description. The paella on the next table looked good.

Best meal we had in Cascais over the 4 days there and it was only lunch. Had the huge seafood plate recommended by the waiter (€89) as we said we were starving - that between two of us with some bread. Incredible lobster, prawn, squid, mussels; everything was cooked to perfection. One thing I noticed was all the waiting staff were older (40+) and this just gave an impression of quality you can only achieve over time - they knew their stuff and it showed from start to finish.

This restaurant was very busy, and for good reason. An excellent menu, friendly staff. Great seafood. I can recommend the Portuguese cod with scrambled eggs and fries which tasted wonderful. The Almond cake was also delicious.

Amazing food and top service ! We really enjoyed our dinner there. The red prawn and the fish were both amazing. The waiter did a great job too.

I came in for a lunch on a a Saturday afternoon. Friendly staff who all spoke sufficient English. A waiter who actualy asked if I would like a couvert (bread, spreads and pate) instead of just putting it on the table and the bill. I ordered a fish soup and a plate of shrimps and calamari with potatoes. A beer and voluntary tip included led to a bill of €40, a price that was excellent, considering the high quality of food and service.

The food is fantastic, despite the modest portions. The price is relatively high, €18-30 per dish/person, but not here in the center of Cascais. The service is high-end, although there might be some difficulty in getting the waiter's attention during peak hours. Overall, it was a good experience. If you want to ensure dining with excellent quality in the center of Cascais, along with great service, this is a great option. However, if you don't mind venturing a bit away from the center of Cascais or prefer larger portions, you might find better alternatives.

Great and attentive service and very good (sea) food. Service staff proud of their workplace and make recommendations and exchange on receipees:) It was the best restaurant experience I had in 4 days in Lisboa and the area.

Superb quality seafood. Quite expensive but worth it. We opted for the lobster platter which was filling and came with potatoes. For the price, I'd have expected at least a side each with it. Nice atmosphere in the sunny weather sitting outside

Incredible food. Charming staff. Quiet and not the most vibey street etc. but nice perfect for a peaceful meal.

Flawless. Absolutely amazing. The chef brought out a large fish that had been caught that morning and we gave him our blessing to grill it for us. Never had better seafood. Service was friendly, efficient, and very informative.

Very nice seafood restaurant. Excellent service, delicious lunch. Everybody likes dining outside and it was busy, fortunately we much prefer inside and there was only a couple inside, nice and quiet. Perfect place. We do recommend.

From a distance this restaurant might seem like a tourist trap, but nothing is further from the truth! The vibe here might not be hip, but it should not stop you. This restaurant has a true passion for fresh fish, they were happy to show us all the fresh fish options available. Our starter, a carpaccio of tuna and swordfish, was excellent. The main course consisted of grilled shellfish, a huge lobster and prawns. Please ask for olive oil, and pepper and salt grinder to season these delicacies to taste. Since we couldn’t stop we also had an additional plate with grilled octopus (pulpo); all really delicious. Recommended! Tip: ask for fitting wine pairings with your meal.

Huge variety of fresh fish in the menu. 🐟🐠 We tried octopus, pasta, salmonette and dorada. All dishes were very tasty 😊.
