We ordered sardines and a sword fish which were really delicious. However, they totally forgot about our order and we have been waiting for very long time while others who came much later received their food. We were the only tourists at that time so I don't know if it has anything to do with it. Additionally, it was my mother's birthday which the waiter was informed about, but we were not compensated in any way.

Good honest food. Visited for lunch with a couple of friends. The restaurant was not buys and we had the Bacalhau a Lagareiro and Grilled Squid. All served rather quick. The food was simple but well presented and tasty. The apple pie was also tasty.

Didn't get to taste the food, but they weren't hospitable and very poor communication with foreigners. Was told to wait and then an elderly man came and said in a very stern voice like we were beggars that there was no availability with no apology for keeping us waiting. Thankfully, we left and spent our money at Manjar da Villa whose hospitality and availability was impeccable. Note to restaurant - please work on your communication and managerial skills.

Amazing place! Best sardines in the city for such an affordable price (8 eur per portion). White sangria is very recommended as well. Will come back for sure!

This is not a first class place. But it is a genuine Cascais restaurant where you meet locals and fishermen. We had whole fish, gambas and mariscos and it tasted great and the service was personal and really good.

we were denied lunch. we came at exactly 2:30 p.m., but we were refused. it is very unpleasant when you waste time, choose this particular restaurant, and you are refused, although it is quite possible to eat in 30 minutes.

Great little place for fish lovers. Mix of Portuguese and tourists which is always a good sign. The fish is really fresh: sardines were really flavoursome and cooked to perfection, and the house white wine was really good for the price. Simple, unpretentious and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Clean and well visited restaurant. We had swordfish and dorado. Both were very good and soft. My son was very happy with the hamburger. He would have eaten a second right away.

The most authentic seafood restaurant in Cascais! Tucked in the town, packed with locals and priced excellently well! They had the best garlic prawns I’ve rated in Portugal! Definitely going here again!

Happy to have a good plate of vegetables to eat at a premier fish place! We ate outside in the patio area in February, well protected with heaters and an attentive waiter. Great food, I've eaten here 3 times already!! Good for vegetarians and great chocolate cake. Half carafes of wine available.

Good food but let down by poor disinterested service. Lemon butter sauce came 10 minutes after the prawns. No offer of fresh drinks and you need to beg if you want something. Many other great places in Cascais make this a place to rather avoid.

This was our worse experience in Cascais. We expected it to be an authentic local restaurant with simple and good food. Two negatives stood out. The service was horrendous- we had to ask for food, drink and bill repeatedly. We were the only foreigners and frankly felt discriminated against. The second was the food. Not as tasty as in other fish restaurants we had been to and when we asked for a kid-friendly portion of fish we got an eel-like fried fish. See picture. Unfortunately would not recommend this place.

Greeted by Pedro, who speaks excellent English, we were seated in a cosy room with 6 tables. The menu is small and the food and atmosphere authentic. The house wine is great and our Beam and grilled prawns were excellent. I'd recommend a reservation on busy nights. Expect to pay around 50-60€ for appetizer main wine and dessert. A very enjoyable evening.

Tried for years to get into this place as they were always full when I was in Cascais and they are pretty lax at answering the phone. So thought I finally got lucky, but they must have changed management. Food was good but I would not queue for it or go back. You get pretty must the same in ither traditional restaurants.

We had tried several times to eat here without reservations with no luck so finally made reservations and got a table. Had grilled fish and it was excellent for grilled fish. Came with boiled potatoes and a small salad. Nect time I will order mixed vegetables if they have. Took awhile to get a menu .

So good we managed to fit it in twice! Food was gorgeous and fresh, I'd particularly recommend the prawns. Tucked away on a lovely little street, near a really nice park. Would highly recommend 👌 Make sure to book at least a day or two in advance- it's in demand!

Lovely food, still the same quality as the first time I visited 15+ years ago! I was able to introduce the restaurant to some friends visiting from the UK and they loved the fish as well.

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
