GO. THERE. One of the best places Ive been to all things (service, price, quality, cocktails, service) considered. We arrived late, for a quick meal & had the sea platter for two, with a cocktail. Everything was great & the service was so nice ! I didnt expect such quality and service in a pretty touristic area. A real gem. We'll be back !

Absolutely worth the visit! One of the best restaurants here in Cascais.

A great atmosphere, busy restaurants but plenty of staff to keep the flow moving, worth the wait for a table. Recommend the octopus, truffle ravioli and bruschetta. The hazelnut praline and passion fruit cheesecake desserts were delicious!!

Food is delicious 👌🏻 the best I’ve tried in Lisbon so far. Order the dishes from the day, they’re perfect.

Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended. Our waiter Tomás made our evening even more special :-)

A cosy restaurant with delicious food. The small street right next to it is a bit loud though, so it's better to sit inside or farther away from the street (we sat right next to it unknowingly). Tried the crispy seafood, vege foccaccia, and bruschetta. Delicious

Had to wait more than 90 minutes for our main course. Which was finally served after the third (polite) reminder. The stressed out boss in the end at least granted us a discount for our wait (which was actually turned out to be higher than initially communicated- see comment) and not even once excused herself for the terrible service. We still had a good time due to the relaxed atmosphere and nice location. Food looked better than it tasted and was a little cold.

There is with no doubt a good atmosphere. We sit and ordered. We got our food 1 h later, after ask several time to the waiters… we saw how all the new client got their food, finished it and even paid for that, all with an amazing speed. But in our case we waited at the end for 1 h and a half to get all our dishes… incredible

Great food! Seriously! First time in my life the side of my dish was smaller than the main meat. :D Staff is friendly and service is good.

Visited Cantina Clandestina again this year and it’s as good as our first experience there. This is a busy and popular spot so expect to be queueing if you haven’t booked ahead. The staff and service provided is excellent. They explain the menu to you and are able to provide recommendations. The items with a star beside them on the menu are most popular items ordered. All of the food we had was beautiful but the bruschetta and pork cheeks were standout items for me.

Delicious food. Amazing waitstaff. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Portugal and Lisbon/Cascais. The roasted Iberian pork cheeks were to die for, the potatoes were absolutely extraordinary. The truffle ravioli pasta was also mouth-watering. Some of the best food I've had in Portugal. Chris served us the first time, and it was fabulous, she was funny, nice and brought out the amazing food in great time!

This place is amazing. Need to be ready to queue for a bit of time but drinks are available and easy chilled place to wait. So worth it. Food is unreal. Staff are efficient but calm and collected. Everyone speaks English. Seafood is incredibly fresh and tasty. This is the place to go in Cascais. Super reasonable prices as well. Anymore than four people groups may be tricky with table availability but they will make it work. Vino verde was special and beer was cold. If you don’t eat here when staying nearby you are crazy!!

What a brilliant little food spot ! The service is wonderful and the food/cocktails just excellent! What a lovely little find during our day trip to Cascais and a lovely sample of their post dinner muscato. Augustine was absolutely lovely and made some excellent recommendations. Don’t let him go, he is brilliant ! Thanks again ❤️🧡💛

If you get tired is the standard fare in most of the restaurants in Cascais, this is the place for you. We stumbled across it and are very glad we did. We had the fried tortellini and the autumn salad, both specials of the day followed by the raspberry and hazelnut chocolate brownie. All were extremely tasty and were served with a smile. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic restaurant in the old town of Cascais. We went there two time and would have gone the third time if we had the time.

We came here for dinner after a beach day and had an absolutely brilliant experience. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Everything we ate was delicious, we shared a number of tapas dishes. Highlight for me was the Clandestino cocktail with ginger beer and basil - very unique and absolutely delicious! Lovely atmosphere in there too, would definitely recommend

Exceptional food and service! The waiter João welcomed us and was so kind and useful the whole night, literally one of the most professional persons I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. He provided some recommendations and we didn’t regret it. All dishes were amazing, some top notch food! Really glad we found this place and for sure we will be back!

Great place to have a fun night with friends. We sat outside in a bustling setting and had some starter and wine. The food was great and came quickly. Good wine selection and very very attentive waiters. If you like a (almost) local experience this is a good place to go. You do sit “on the street” on small tables and chairs, so if you want a full dining experience this is not 100% what you are looking for. But that’s the beauty of the place. Later music started in one of the places but we left at that time, so can’t judge that. Overall, fun, cozy, experience for a very reasonable price. For those who dont speak Portuguese: The waiters speak English (like basically everywhere in Cascais).

Awesome food, awesome service, great drinks, wonderful experience. We came to Taberna Clandestina Cascais/Cantina Clandestina for dinner and had the best experience. At the time we arrived all tables were full but we were given the option to be written down on a wait list and could have a drink while waiting. The staff was already super friendly with this and not stressed or unfriendly at the prospect of such a hectic situation. It only got better from here. We were seated quite quickly and didn‘t have to wait long at all and even when we couldn‘t decide what to order because of all the great options the waiters remained good spirited and encouraging. Once we decided on something the food was served quickly and the waiters were very attentive in regards to us wanting to order more (food and drinks). Everything was absolutely delicious; we ordered a second portion of the cheese croquettes because we liked them so much. Even though there were new people coming the whole time also waiting for a table we were not rushed at all or given the feeling that we should hurry up so another person could be seated. During our whole stay every person working there seemed so happy and upbeat and friendly it gave such a lovely atmosphere to the whole place making us feel very welcome. The staff was finding time to chat with the customers and passers-by while maintaining excellent and efficient service, not being hectic or unfriendly once. We left feeling elated at having spent such a wonderful time there and would recommend it to everybody!

The service was great and we got an offer for a daily special focaccia with mustard and beef. It was so delicious with self made potato chips and the Porto tonico was also a dream. Highly recommend that place!!!
