This place looked a bit dated and old-fashioned at first sight, but turned out to be a real hidden gem run by an elderly couple, with great seafood. At first, we were a bit sceptical to go inside (because we were the only customers even on a Friday evening) but are glad we did - the seafood was fresh, nicely marinated and grilled in front of our eyes on a charcoal grill (that they turned on only for us) and also at a decent price. The owner couple was very friendly, although communication was a bit hard since we didn't speak Portuguese. So don't let yourself be put off by the old-style decoration and lack of customers - the great food and friendly cuouple made this into one of the best seafood dinners we had in all of our stay in Portugal.

This little place is a delight. During the last five years I have not gone because of the picture menu. I was very wrong. Lovely outdoor terrace shaded by vines. The couple who own and run it are delightful and friendly. Most cooking is done on an outdoor charcoal grill by the owners. We had pork ribs and lamb chops with fries and a salad followed by a very nice flan. Good wine at reasonable prices. If you are looking for a truly traditional Portuguese family restaurant this is the right place.

Never eaten such a tasty steak. The fish was fresh and had an amazing flavour as well. The man who served us and made our dishes was extremely friendly! He even took a picture with us! A very comfy restaurant with a homey vibe. Highly recommend!!

Keep coming back here for the lovely patio garden shaded by vine leaves where food is served fresh from the grill. Traditional Portuguese meals and snacks from a simple menu. Fresh fish - especially the sardinhas (sardines) and carapaus (mackerel) are perfect and very reasonably priced. Owner husband and wife team are cheerful and chatty. Bring cash as they don't take card!

A Antiguinha Cascais is a must-visit restaurant in the heart of Cascais. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is top-notch. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The restaurant is run by a friendly and hospitable old couple with a dog who make sure that every guest feels at home. I highly recommend trying the seafood paella, which is cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Overall, Antigua Cascais is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Cascais.

It was an amazing experience! The seafood was delicious (grilled), the wine exceptional, the yard super cozy and the nanna that owns the place the best part of all!!

Excellent local food. Not fancy, but fresh, delicious ingredients prepared expertly for a wonderful meal. If it's a chilly day, the Bacalhau com Nata is a cozy and rich option that will warm you right up. The owner/operators don't speak English, so be prepared to figure it out - it's worth the effort!

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
