The view and service is extraordinary. If you love eating š- this will be heaven for you. Must highlight the simple Portuguese version of the moules frites. Simple yea, but the white wine sauce was out of this world.

Great location, views and atmosphere.
Food was average and overpriced for the quality of food.
We tried many fish and seafood restaurants within the areas - Unfortunately Furnas do Guincho was rather disappointing for the quality of food.
While youāll certainly enjoy the atmosphere - there are many other restaurants along the coast that provide an equally great experience and better quality of food at better value.
The service was average and for instance we asked multiple times for water and we got a bottle with our main course (after our starters)

Once service started it was good. Had to ask for things like bread, water, oil. Did not know how to order fresh fish for one person so I had to order squid with sweat potatoes. It was amazing. Husband had Swordfish also good. We asked for a table by outside wall but it was all reserved. Sad people with that reservation never showed, and table was unused all night. We arrived 7:30pm left around 11pm. Highly recommend but make reservation.

The location is amazing for dinner.
We had a very very nice waiter.
The bread was very dry and the olives were not of high quality. Yet, they charged A LOT for these.
The fish soup was great.
We ordered two fishes (sea bass and another pink color fish). The sea bass was realy good, but the other fish wasn't very impressive. The wine (half bottle size) wasn't too impressive but cost a lot.
We ended up with ā¬174 without deserts or starters.
The money exceeded value.

Very nice restaurant with very good food. The restaurant is located close to the sea
The atmosphere is great. Food serve is with fresh fish. Very recommended. You have a parking space. Price is ok based on the quality of the food and the service.

We had a wonderful experience here. We came without reservations at opening of lunch. They were all booked but for one table which they gave us early and began our experience. The servers were warm, witty and knowledgable. The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. The ambiance consisted of an incredible view of the ocean, even from the back of the patio. We may have gotten lucky, but Iāll take it. Well done team Guincho!

On the water with excellent seafood and service! The octopus with sweet potato and the monk fish were spot on. Try the barnacles as an appetiser and the very unconventional but delicious cheese cake for dessert!

I was attracted immediately by the view and the setup of the restaurant. Itās relaxing and cool! The servers are very friendly, help you what to order. After they serve the food, itās surprising good, didnāt expect this in a place like this. The best is the shrimps, and the best of the best is the tenderloin!

Beautiful Location on a cliff, the view of the ocean waves crashing is ammaizing.
The interior is very average.
The serving very poor with untrained personell incapable of explaining wine and serving Dishes, doesn't know the dishes and ingredients.
Some of the see food not particularly Fresh.
3 stars just because of the location !

Great views of the ocean but that's it! Very overrated place. Food is subpar, it was probably in the bottom 25% of all the restaurants we visited during a 12-day vacation in Portugal. Service is average.
The place is also full of nouveau riche people showing off their sports cars, gold necklaces and watches, etc.
There are way better options nearby. Don't waste your time.

The second night of our grand tour in Portugal, we decided on a romantic ocean-side dinner, just down the coast from our hotel in Cascais, Furnas do Guincho.
Furnas to Guincho restaurant is perched on the rugged coast of Cascais. It is a large and spacious property but we were glad we booked as they quickly became very busy.
We decided to make the experience more memorable and sat outdoors on the edge of the sea, with splendid views of the sunset and the sounds of the waves crashing into the rocks.
This is definitely a restaurant for seafood lovers with a large variety of fish, grilled, baked and even stewed. The food is more traditional Portuguese, so donāt expect modern, fusion or sushi-like dishes. That means heavy, and the portions are large. We couldnāt finish any.
To drink, we had Vinho Verde, the young local (Portuguese wine), a white wine that goes very well with fish and seafood, so much that all waiters immediately recommend it when you order something that swims in the sea.
Sunset views are a must, especially in this location and with the right company. We must admit that although a great experience, they're also a great distraction (not complaining) - it's not until dusk appears that we finally can concentrate on our dishes and their unique flavours.
Lovely recommendation and definitely a very romantic setting.

Spectacular food with a spectacular view. Service here is top shelf, and dishes are authentic Portuguese cuisine! Be aware that the delicious bread, olives, water and to-die-for cheese spread do not come for free. Not an inexpensive restaurant but not fine dining prices. Compared to prices back home in Toronto, it like going to a more upscale resto.
When ordering note that āone doseā (order) is a generous portion that can be split on two plates - which they will do on request.
Also worth mentioning that their house red and white are great value and very nice. Red is full Bodied and White is like a light Chardonnay.

Just a solid place with a great view, amazing service and fantastic food. My hotel in downtown Lisbon recommended this place. Had amazing seafood, one of the best cheeses of my life, a great view, amazing service and just a great time. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.

Such a beautiful restaurant with amazing views of the ocean; picture perfect at sunset. The food also lived up to expectations; the octopus carpaccio and whole grouper baked in a salt crust were both excellent.
Friendly, attentive, professional service made the entire evening both enjoyable and memorable.
