A group of friends and I only had a couple of hours to spare in Cascais, and wanted an authentic Portuguese restaurant with good sea food. Tasca da Vila certainly hit the mark. It's only a minute from some of the more popular (and sometimes touristy) restaurants, with tables inside and out. While we waited for our food, we were given complimentary bread, cheese and olives: a nice touch. We tried their Black Sausage with Pineapple, and Grilled Sausage to get things going, before moving onto several seafood dishes, including grilled sardines, house-style bacalao and grilled shrimp. All were delicious! Our waiter and the owner were friendly, helping us choose a good wine for the food we ordered. Overall, thoroughly recommended.

The food was awesome. Our drinks were fantastic. We were very happy. 😊 The waiters were very friendly. The price was very reasonable too. They have space inside and outside. It is off the main road which makes it very pleasant and comfortable however the location makes it difficult to spot. The Sangria was very good too🍷. The dessert was also very tasty. 🍧

Literally the best restaurant in Cascais. Fresh fish, authentic! Portuguese food, feels like grandpa/grandma is cooking for you at home- extremely delicious :) More than just satisfied. I recommend the Prawns Al Ajillo Style hehe

Celiac: fries/chips were fried separately from battered fish. All seas that was grilled was gluten free. Didn’t have any issues eating here. Ordered sea bass and salmon with chips/fries. Food: very simple prep that placed the natural flavor of the seafood at the forefront. 5 O/F 5 stars Drink: didn’t try but it was standard beers and soft drinks. Atmosphere: unpretentious and unassuming Staff: fantastic. Attentive. Language: owner spoke English and was familiar with celiac.

One of the best seafood places I’ve ever been to. I took the squid & shrimp kebab and it was super fresh! 10/10

The restaurant is well located in the touristic area of Cascais. The prices are good, but the food and the service could be better (to be fair, we arrived very late for dinner, and the restaurant was about to close. Maybe that is why we didn’t have a better experience...)

Very good restaurant, have a try with the sardines, they are excellent. Nice service and near the port, the fortress and the beach. Prices are reasonable.

Fantastic little restaurant off the main street! The waiters were wonderful and very friendly. The wine was excellent. There were many different fish dishes available. We got the grilled sole and the grilled sea bass, both of which were very good.

This place goes highly recommended by our tour guide. No regrets. I had bacalhau grilled to perfection; it was charred on the outside but white and soft on the inside. My daughter had sea bass while my husband had fish and chips. The service was superb.

Found it by Google rating and weren’t disappointed. Octopus and Portuguese style steak were amazing. Wine they served was a very nice addition to the main dish. Absolutely recommend it.

Absolutely loved this place. THIS is the place to go for TASTY sea food!! I promise you will definitely not be disappointed. First we started off with mussels Portuguese style (ask the waiter) with a little bit of lemon, soooo good!! We also got the seafood cataplana. Delicious and savory! It comes with fish, shrimp, mussels, and veggies! It’s for two, the price is definitely worth it!!! I believe the owner took care of us, and the waiters definitely made sure there was no plates in the way. If I ever get the chance to visit Portugal again, this will absolutely be first stop to eat!! The other seafood places I’ve gone to in Portugal have lacked flavor and are high in prices! My last stop since I leave tomorrow morning. And this place deserved my review!

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
