Very nice new restaurant. Found it by coincidence. Fresh see food. Excellent service. We enjoyed our Sea bass. Tuna and clam razor.

We got a big seafood stew for 2, 1 starter, 2 drinks, 2 desserts and a side for €62, so I was very happy with the price, the food, the interior and the staff! Recommended to guests (like us) of the nearby campsite.

What a great meal! We had clams for starter and a cataplana for main dish. Both were perfectly served. We order a white wine that was delivered fresh in a bucket of ice. For dessert the cheesecake was marvelous! The place resembles a little Greek village and the staff was professional to the max! Five starts and a return scheduled! Congratulations!

This is a very nice place to find -hidden gem. We were at the local camping for 2 nights and looking for a restaurant that was open on a Sunday night. Not easy to find in winter season! So we looked around on Google maps and found Marea. Already from outside, we liked the atmosphere. Open, blue and white…and very clean an professional feeling. We were were welcomed in a very friendly way and could choose our own seating. The menu was mainly seafood but also other alternatives… with also English translation!! We ordered wine, very nice and the fish dishes. We received bread with olive oil and home mad garlic butter.. olives and plain water. The food looked and tasted amazing…everything fresh!!! Go and try and you’ll be positively surprised! Ps my first restaurant review ever. We just felt they deserved a good review.

This is a remarkable place tucked away in a residential area. A small gem that delights. The decor is contemporary and the atmosphere calming. The fish of the day is presented in the chilled counter as you enter. Make your choice and the fresh fish is prepared and presented to you by a very smiley and attentive waiters. There is nothing quite so good as beautifully cooked fresh fish and we were not disappointed. Grilled sea bream, green beans tossed in buttered garlic and roasted potatoes, heavenly. Thank you Marea.

Absolute gem. The food was outstanding, friendly owners who made a special sauce for the freshest most delicious fish I’ve had. Will 100% be back!!!

This was an unforgettable last night of our holiday. To be perfectly honest, we were having a bit of restaurant fatigue by this point, but it was our last night, so we decided to go to a hidden gem of a place that we were told about by someone we met in Lisbon. We went and were so glad we did. It was a warm and friendly atmosphere, the service was excellent and the food was so delicious. We went with high expectations based on what we were told and our expectations were exceeded! We would go back again and again.

Just perfect. Best fresh fish and sea food possible. Cozy little place in Areia village. Attentive, discreet and friendly service. Food was divine. The razor clams were cooked to perfection. The mussels in Provençal sauce had a hint of spice which I adored. Both dishes’ sauces were finger licking good! The fries were ok, but they made up for it with their brilliant homemade mayonnaise. House wine was good. Could not have asked for better. Was a Tuesday, had the place to myself. Reasonably priced.

We enjoyed a very nice Red Fish, which is hard to get. The soups were fine too and the price-quality ratio is great. The only small downsides: only beans as vegetables ( no other veggies) and the Service guys were strange- one great and one mediocre - we will come back and recommend

Great food. Fishes are sold whole, so be careful with over ordering on all the snacks. Great and friendly staff.

We followed a recommendation and were very pleased with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Nice and calm place with near the sea vibes that were complemented by the tasteful sea food. It has options for all budgets.

Nice seafood in a cosy atmosphere with kind staff. The shrimps hors d' oeuvre failed to grow while pregnant....generous portion of Prego no Prato( beefsteak around 8 euro) but suddenly grilled fish can be much more expensive. Delicious dessert and outstanding wine Cabo da Roca. what I really like is the village!

Excellent lunch! We dropped in here after a visit to Cascais and Guincho. Hidden in the little village of Areia just before Guincho on the road out of Cascais. This place is well worth a divert. Nuno the head waiter looked after us very well, knowledgable and professionally friendly. The food was perfectly cooked and fresh, seabass and turbot recommended. The star dish was the seared tuna, unique and most delicious. Prices are very fair. Thank you to Nuno and the team for a superb afternoon. We will be back!

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
