Lodgers beware! - Don’t be fooled by the pseudo-eco-chic façade of this guest house. You may be stung by an imaginable lack of empathy and pure disregard for you when you least expect it. Back in 2020, a bride and groom to be married took the first steps to book this venue for their wedding. Mails were exchanged and hard commitments were laid out with one of the owners. Late May 2021, the wedding date approaching, things start becoming quite weird. Demands upon demands were starting to come up from the owners side (...things like wanting 2000 EUR more just to move the lazy chairs from the swimming pool area when the swimming pool area is the only viable outside area where guest would be able to spread out from a not-that-large inside area...). The demands were so absurd and the refusal to come to compromises so strange that both affianced families quickly came to the conclusion that it was the original agreed-upon price that they were no longer wanted to honor. The appalling behavior compromised all and any possible confidence over the owners as suitable partners for such an important step in one’s life, so with just a few months to spare all the planning had to be restarted, with the stress and aggravation this last minute change of events inevitably brought along, bride, groom and respective families not even knowing if they would be able to find a new venue so close to the ceremony date, in a very “wedding intensive” season. So, again, prospective lodgers beware. If these people had no problem acting this way towards a bride and a groom, imagine how things will turn out for you, “simple” guests, if the worst in their characters decides to flare up the wrong way.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff are all great, with special mention to Antonia and Jason who were extra attentive and make excellent gin and tonics. The whole team went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and relaxed during our trip. The breakfast is wonderful, the best omelette I’ve had, and the hotel is really beautiful.

Stayed here with the kids last 10 days with connected rooms. Rooms are lovely, would love to have some extra light in the room so you could read a book at the fire place at night. Other then that, our rooms were perfect 👌 the team has a great hospitality mindset and make everything happen. For the kids there are games to play and there’s a pool table, fireplace to chill at the bar. Thanks a lot everyone!

LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s tucked away at the base of a natural park and the sea. This area is in a micro-climate that isn’t always sunny but it’s a perfect getaway for relaxing, hiking and outdoors. I couldn’t ask for a better spot, we stayed in a high end air-streamer and it was perfect! We will be back!! - amazing views - each room has a terrace, fire place and huge bathtub. - nice pool area and food. - customer service was great - great for hiking - regular rooms and modern air-streamers

I’d just like to say a big thank you to the staff at Charm Nature, our stay was wonderful. Jason, Antonia and the team were all so hospitable, attentive and thoughtful. I would absolutely recommend staying at Charm and we will definitely be back. Oh and the gin and tonics are fabulous!

Very nice place, friendly staff. Spaceful room but very bad matras, I hope they will change it soon for future guests so the price is worth the stay.

Spent 3 nights during our honeymoon there. This place is very unique. The view is amazing, the deluxe van rooms and overall design are really remarkable and we didn't want to leave during our whole stay. The service was above and beyond (thanks Jason!) and the food was healthy and satisfying. The small town nearby has a few spots with awesome food for lunch and dinner. We think we'll be back if we're in portugal again!

I can’t recommend this place enough. We chose Charm as our wedding venue in January 2022 and we kept thinking it was too good to be true but it WAS true! And it was even better than we ever could have imagined. We’re from the UK and it’s understandably nerve wracking putting your trust and a lot of money into a venue, in a completely different country, for your big day. But there was no need for any concerns. All the staff were so accommodating and helpful. Isabel helped us in securing the venue and showing us rooms and also put us in touch with our caterer (more on him later). The venue is stunning, as are all the rooms and facilities. We can’t thank the staff enough for all that they did. We don’t know everyone’s names but Antonia was great, easy to contact and so helpful. She even helped us from a hospital bed just before the wedding! Jason doing the limbo was a highlight of the after party 😂 he didn’t have much choice when we were chanting his name but he kindly obliged. All of the staff that served food either at the morning breakfast (which is insanely good) or at our wedding itself were brilliant, attentive and professional. We used a lot of the venue’s furniture and the staff were happy to arrange it and move it round for us. They offered us vases, candles etc for decoration and set up one of the pergola beds for our celebrant to stand it and marry us in front of the pool. Finally, our caterer, Luca Bordino. This guy is the best. He is built for hospitality. Nothing was too much for him and the food was incredible. We had so many rave reviews about the food and drink. He also sourced a delicious cake for us which was loved by the guests. Not just a great chef, Luca is a genuinely lovely guy. My niece is the pickiest eater, especially when abroad, but loved Luca’s spaghetti bolognese. Luca offered to make her some up for the rest of her stay. We’ve recently read some of the earlier reviews and are surprised by them because our experience could not have been better. It completely surpassed our expectations. Speaking from our experience, something must have changed since that review and based on our experience, booking a wedding here is a great choice. The price quoted at the start did not change and we feel it was incredible value for money. Thank you Charm Nature. You made our day perfect.
