I would give this gallery show at Mumedi six stars if I could! It’s one of the things that I love about Mexico, that they embrace death as a possibility at all times and revere that day of the year when the dead can cross the veil and we can reunite. But most importantly just to honor the fact that we are all mortal at every moment of our lives and the posters in here from artists all over the world, some of them sweet and some cynical, some political and some a surprise. I arrived just as they were closing, but a lovely woman named Karina brought me in the back gallery anyway and used Google Translate for 3/4 of an hour to help me understand some of the messages. One of my favorite experiences now, in Mexico City. Muchas Gracias!

This hotel is amazing! There's an incredible blend of old world charm and modern elegance. Emanuel and Aileen were incredibly gracious and lavished all kinds of attention on us. The restaurant served delicious and beautiful meals. Our room was comfortable and we slept great. We will be staying here again on our way back to the US and I can't wait. Highly recommend!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at! The hotel is practically in the Zocalo, so it’s perfect to get around and explore Centro. Also very safe! The rooms are big, clean, modern, artistic, have AC/heat. Beds are comfy. Bathrooms have all of your toiletries, and very hot water. The service here is amazing! Everyone is super kind and accommodating. They even bring dessert to your room every night. There is also a restaurant and art gallery within the hotel as well. There is also complimentary breakfast at the hotel every morning, and it’s very good. I definitely recommend for anyone staying in CDMX!

Used to be an interesting place of design. Now, both the exhibition and store are bland, commercial and no longer interesting. Unfortunately.

My wife and I spent 5 days in Mexico City exploring museums, historic sites and restaurants. She had found the Hotel Mumedi listed in someone's blog as one of the best hotels to be found in the area. We took a chance and found that to be precisely the case. The meticulously designed, renovated, historic building, its boutique hotel rooms, the high-end cafe and gourmet food offerings, the cocktails, the service... were all top notch. Emanuel and Aileen run the day-to-day affairs with highly personalized and professional service. Andres and Kevin were also two highly attentive staff that work throughout the building. They all made us feel like VIP guests, complete with evening surprise dessert deliveries to our room. The sound proof balcony doors and automated black-out curtains do an excellent job of keeping the room quiet above an extremely busy street... unless you want to people watch and absorb the atmosphere of the city, its bustling commerce, the music of the streets and the organilleros. I can't imagine having a better experience. Highest recommendations. (NB: Do be mindful that in this historic building elevators are not permitted and two flights of stairs are required to arrive to the guest rooms above the cafe and museum. Also, the Avenida Francisco Madero is closed to vehicle traffic, but Uber is readily available within 1-2 blocks in several directions, and was easy and affordable.)

The Mumedi is extremely unique and in the heart of the historic area. The entire staff was amazing, especially Emmanuel and Aileen. They reached out the morning of our stay on WhatsApp to welcome us. They provided early check-in and made a latte for my wife. Emmanuel was extremely helpful, with suggestions, directions and overall great service.

Thoroughly enjoyable tour of the museum. Silvia (our guide in the museum) really is proud of this place and makes the exhibit more personal and thought-provoking. Amazing food as well. Definitely check this place out.

I was there for the arts of skulls exhibit then had a meal out in the patio. All staffs were really sweet and kind and the food really good. Gish taco and quinoa salad. The exhibition itself wasn’t as spectacular as the time out magazine pic. I think the pic was taken from elsewhere. But still fun.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms are really beautiful, the views are unmatched, service is good, and so is the food. Location also couldn’t be better.

Right in the middle of everything! You can walk to so much cool stuff, and the people watching along the pedestrian street was so much fun. Everyone at the hotel was so nice, the rooms were really cool, and the common area was fantastic for sitting out at night. We did wish there was a little more lighting in the room, and the pressure in the shower was really low. I would definitely stay here again any time and recommend it to anyone who is ok with stairs. Make sure you check out the exhibition space!

Wonderful rooms & Perfect location steps from the zócalo yet the rooms are completely quiet. Very good breakfast. The service from Emanuel and all of the staff was impeccable. Would stay again.

The “doorman” at the entrance of the MUMEDI museum is the most unpleasant and overbearing person, rude and intimidating. He reluctantly gave us information about the Pink Panther exhibit and prevented my companions from entering the store, even though the store was completely empty. It is because of nefarious people like Arturo that businesses go out of business. I wish they would remove him from the place. Will not come back here.

This boutique hotel definitely isn't your average stay. The rooms are well appointed and thoughtfully decorated. Pictured just as the website shows and super clean. It's a historic building so no elevator but the stairs weren't a problem. We were greeted by Emmanuel after our late flight around midnight/1am for check-in and offered to take our bags up. Anything we needed (ice, iron, refreshments) they brought up quick. The whole staff was extremely nice and helpful, even with some suggestions on where to eat. The breakfast downstairs each morning was amazing. Traveled here from LA and will be back!

I just attended the restaurant, it is a great big surprise to get a meal there. It is fancy but Mexican and cheap for what you get

A truly excellent experience with rooms that were beautiful, super-tastefully decorated and service that was so helpful and friendly. It's right in the centre of town but the room was very quiet - which was great. The staff brought lovely complimentary desserts while we there there which were a fantastic treat - this is just one of the nice touches that made the stay great. Overall an surprisingly delightful experience which I would highly recommend and I would definitely go back again!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and loved it. Emanuel and Aileen are lovely hosts and will make anyone's stay wonderful! We ate breakfast at the restaurant daily and it was very nice. They did takeout lunch for us twice and it was great. Highly recommend!

The waiter is more interested in having orders with big meals for his tip than giving a good service. In general services is bad. Most of the people working there, are more busy doing nothing than being for the customers. Place is quite empty, you must know the location is great. But still is empty.

I'll tell you one thing that online travel agents do not want u to know about. When booking resorts use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ They've got the best deals on rooms! Way better than using expedia, tripadvisor, hotwire. That's for sure!!! We were here to drink a coffee and chai latte which were both very tasty! The toilets are also very clean and the staff is friendly. Would definitely come back!!

We didn't stay here, just stopped by for breakfast and to visit their shop. Even though it was very busy, the service was great. My enchiladas were amazing, the coffee was great as well. Perfect spot for people watching. Also a great place to get cool souvenirs, not your standard magnet.

Ordered 2 glasses of red wine, Angus burger and fish tacos. Under poured wine by 50% in my estimation. Complained, they said they didn’t measure but used their fingers. After pushing the issue they added about 33% to 1 glass. Tacos and fry’s were very oily, deep fryer not not enough. Burger was good. Won’t go back.

Excellent place to stay; six rooms on top of the Mumedi gallery and restaurant. Food looks amazing and tastes delicious too. Ask for the "agua fresca" of the day. It's located less than half a block away from the Zócalo. Staff was always very attentive and friendly. I loved the rooms with high ceilings. It felt good to be surrounded by good design.

I came here with my grandparents and we had a wonderful experience. The ambiance of the hotel is amazing and the rooms are modern - decorated well. The service was exceptional - Manuel took care of us the entire time and was attentive and accommodating to our every need. If I am back in Mexico City, I will stay here.

Had some issues with the server understanding me even after my bf explained it to her. My wants are simple. She didn't look at me as I attempted to speak in Spanish. It's a MAIN destination area in the heart of Mexico City near pyramids on Fransisco I. Madero

Quite silent for the central location. Tall, beautiful rooms.

I stayed here about six months ago for one night. My time in the hotel was excellent. The service was great and I felt like I was very well taken care of. The location was really nice. I did not have a lot of time in Mexico City but because of where the hotel was located I was able to see a lot in a very short amount of time. The room I stayed in was very beautiful, my only complaint would be that I booked a room with a bathtub but the room I stayed in did not have one. It really was not a big deal and I am sure if I had mentioned it they would have made things right. I definitely would stay here again.
