20 stars! Been here many times and it never gets old. Always something new. This time we went in June and there was still snow and ice out in places. Some roads were still closed at the top. We wanted to see as much as possible and the waterfalls were on my list. Wear good shoes/boots, take a camera and a jacket. Then just dive in and discover nature at its most beautiful. Literally every turn had something to offer. I'll let the photos convince you :-) Ps- pets NOT allowed. Wheelchair accessible mostly but not to good viewpoints. Price is $30 per car or free if you have the Washington National Park Pass.

Holy Moly that’s the most impressive mountain I have ever seen. Whether it’s from Seattle or the base in the park. The drive up to Paradise went through some impressive stands of forest on the way up to many scenic pullovers and waterfalls. I had limited time and chose to hike up the Skyline trail from the visitor Center. Three of my favourite things in the natural world, an impressive mountain, glaciers, and waterfalls. All in one breathtaking view. The trail up was paved but steep. Amazing views in all directions. A gem in the National Park system.

STUNNING. This was one of my best days on my trip nor my life. I loved the climbing and site seeing in this park. this is one of the best parks in the US and my favorite by far, maybe almost as good as Yellowstone. The amazing views from this mountain are so amazing and the multiple areas to go off and explore for your self are just as good.

A buddy and l went here this past Friday.. Nice mid 70's day at 11:00 after the fog burned off. The autumn colors are vibrant during this time of year. I always love the trip to Mt Rainier, and a leisurely hike is always good for the soul. I'd recommend a National park pass if possible as this is the best deal, even if you only go a few times. We both packed a good lunch for afterwards and brought good shoes, water, sunscreen, hats, and camera. Dress in layers. I'm not in shape like my friend & have some wonky knees, but the trails are very well kept up and we took our time. The scenery is majestic any age, whether power waking, hiking, or just hanging at the bottom of the parking lot. Lots of wildlife that are very curious. Take the trip. I forget how gorgeous this place is.

So much beauty here in Mt Rainier! Unfortunately, this is Washington so it was rainy & foggy while we’re here. We didn’t get any pictures of Mt Rainier itself. Reflection Lakes was a sad rainy walk.. but we did get some amazing falls. Can’t wait to return when the weather is better!

This is one of the most beautiful national parks I've ever been to. There are amazing hiking trails - the scenery is spectacular!

Beautiful park that is a two hour drive ish from Seattle. Be sure to get there early because there will be huge line of people trying to get in. We got there around 9 and it took over an hour to get to the gate. There also might be people along the line trying to sell you some cherries. Place is beautiful but when going in the summer it will be crowded at all the easy to access place which might be a turn off for some. Lots of wildlife to see as you pass by which is really fun

If you are looking for the mountain view experience this is the park for you. The sunrise ridge visitor center is a cannot miss area. If you are going to go, I recommend trying to arrive before 10am or else parking gets tough. The sunrise rim trail has several branching trails and moderate challenges for incline/hiking. The visitor center is stocked with snacks and gifts a plenty. Overall, exactly what I wanted for a park experience.

This visit was my second time visiting. I am so happy to visit the opposite side of Mount Rainier in Sunrise, Washington. Coordinates: 46.91483° N, 121.64232° W So beautiful and I am a born & raised Washingtonian. I am shaken by the breathtaking beauty of this National Park especially since we got to picnic next to the Snack Bar Lodge with scenic views of Mount Rainier! The only thing we weren't allowed to do was bring our puppy Bear on the trails. Leashed (Non)Service Animals are allowed on public paved roads & trails. There were lots of hiking trails but we couldn't adventure & see the hidden gems of treeline & clear water lakes. Only Service Trained Animals for Disabled Person(s) are allowed upon trails. So don't bring your dog or dog(s) Maybe I should have done my research beforehand. Next time I want to hike up and over the ridge or walk the pathways dotted with wildflowers. I am excited to spend more time up at Sunrise. Also please check out the Mount Rainier National Forest Campgrounds dotted along Mountain Roadways! I believe camping is first to come first, serve in most camp-at-your-risk locations 📍 One location is Ashford, WA 98304

Seriously!!! Wow!!! Such an amazing national park. This was our first trip to Washington state and we loved it! My wife and I hiked the silver falls trail. Unfortunately the park was closed for the winter, but we were still able to hike into the park. We will definitely be returning in the summer to enjoy the entire national park

It was so much better than I even expected. The easily accessible hikes are pretty easy and super beautiful. The drive up to paradise is stunning and I loved all the view points. The entrance fee was $30 for a normal sized car. The roads are of course full of curves so drive carefully.

Great place to hike, lots of trails!! And the maps were laid out great. We bought one of the park passes but when we got there no one was around to scan it or verify we got it so that was a bit confusing. Recommend you pace yourself and watch your footing, especially if you are not used to the elevation. No bears on our trail! Overall had a great time!!

A must-visit national park if you are planning to visit Washington state. The park is well-maintained, and there are multiple trails you can take to enjoy this place. I chose to start from Paradise, which is close to the visitor centre. The skyline trail is quite popular, and it will take roughly 4 hours to complete (with some rests along the way). When you reach the panorama point (about 7000ft high) and mount Rainier is just in front of your eyes. You will be in awe with how amazing the nature is. I would definitely revisit this place again and try other trails.

Great place to camp and hang out if you're looking for lush natural beauty. We stayed here before heading up to attempt Mt.Rainier. While we did not summit, the time in the park was not to be regretted. We did have to deal with some rowdy neighbors for a little bit, all in all we didn't have any issues. People were all really kind and friendly in the park, and created a great experience for us.

Breathtaking! Lots of trails with different difficulties. Very easy to drive around during spring and summer. I went for a picnic but you cannot sit at most sites and eat, so I found a remote spot and had a picnic in my trunk

Absolutely beautiful place! The mountains are huge and grand. I haven’t seen anything like this before. The rangers here are friendly and I got to see a lot from the viewpoints. It’s a 2 hour drive from Seattle but it’s definitely worth checking out.

This is a gorgeous breathtaking national park that I had the opportunity to travel to back in 2019 and would love to go back. Every view seem to be more gorgeous than the first. I loved taking pictures here but they didn't do justice to the immense beauty. It's God country and would highly recommend going here if you hare ever in the area or just make a trip here to see it and hike the area.

Visited the South side of the National Park in a couple of hours, didn't have enough time to hike much, but saw a couple different waterfalls, used some restroom, and made it to the top of the MT.Rainer base at the Paradise Inn Lodge with a dinner hall, rock fireplaces, Grand Hall, little cafe, gift shop, and 123 rooms costing either $180 or $260 per night with incredible breathtaking views. Great place to getaway, get some fresh air, and go on an adventure with breathtaking views and hiking trails!

Easily one of the most breathtaking U.S. national parks! Mount Rainier is a sight to see at least once in your life. This park is split into different sections due to the size and layout. We spent one day in Paradise and one day in Sunrise, with some stops in between. On a sunny day, you can see Mount Rainier from most places throughout the park. A cloudy day could definitely be a bummer. Unfortunately, our day in Sunrise was all cloud. There are a ton of amazing trails of various difficulties. Just do some research and pick your favorites! Be sure to get out there early so you’re not fighting for a parking spot. And try to go in the shoulder months, if possible. We opted for mid-September. Also, be mindful of the wildlife – the chipmunks will do anything for some of your food. One last thing… the elevation is a little high at points (I started feeling the effects while hiking the Skyline Trail) so just be sure to stay hydrated and take your time. I can’t wait to go back!

What a beautiful place! We went for a day trip but I would have loved to stay longer. We went to the visitor center and my kids earned their junior ranger badges. We ate our picnic lunch and then explored a couple trails. We also saw some beautiful waterfalls, one on our hike and two we stopped to walk to on our drive.

Amazing place at usual. Paradise visitor center is at a great location with so many trails around. Junior ranger program is pretty good with very active rangers. Food options are super limited, pack your lunch for sure. Parking gets full very easily, early morning is best. Also don’t tend to find parking near the visitor center and stop early. That might be the best bet after 11 am. Skyline trail is hard but gets you best view all around.

One of the most beautiful places on earth. I can spend a week here and not get bored with the majestic mountains, streams, and waterfalls. I went during the beginning of May and a lot of the entrance wasn't open due the amount of snow that still hasn't melt, some parts were 10-15ft of snow. Will definitely hit it up again in mid summer or so, but more prepared this time for some of the hikes. Overall, highly recommended.

Wow, what a beautiful National park. Amazing place to visit if you’re in Seattle. This place is one of several National parks near Seattle. It has an active volcano and the volcano is snow capped mostly covered with glaciers.. This place is huge. Beautiful and amazing sceneries rivers, waterfalls, lakes and ponds. It has a lot of hiking trails some are easy and some are hard. Lots of campgrounds . There’s two main area of the park. The paradise area and sunrise area. We visited the popular part of the park which is the paradise area. The visitor center in paradise is called Henry M Jackson memorial center. The parking lot gets full easily so I advise that if you plan to visit to go there early morning preferably before 9 am to be able to park your car. There’s several trails in paradise starting from the visitors center some are short trails like going to myrtle falls which is just 30 minutes(0.8 miles) or longer like the paradise trail. Overall what an amazing place to visit. Late July to August is the best time to visit and preferably on weekdays to avoid the crowd.

One of my favorite national parks. Got to visit in the fall. Our hike up was consumed by foggy mist, on the way down it cleared up though so we got to take in some of the views. A must go place!

Easily one of my favorite national parks for the vertical hikes, wildflowers, and the meeting of rock and flowing water. The paradise loop hike that goes through panoramic point is a top to hike two hike of all time for me (most pictures from there).

Magnificent huge mountain and park, stunning views, a beautiful place to experience outdoor activities or simply as for scenic viewing as you drive through the woods to get to the closest bottom hill of Mt Rainer (don’t worry, the roads are nicely paved). I’d sure would love to come back here and properly gear up for the hike next time. Totally awesome experience and totally recommended !

A very beautiful park! Very nice views and fun trails. A couple cool waterfalls you can check out if you follow the right trails. I recommend snow shoes and hiking poles when it has snowed.

One of the most beautiful places in the US. Probably one of my most favorite, if not THE favorite, National Park. Stunning views. Beautiful hikes. Hard to beat. Get to any parking area early so as to not walk further. Won’t regret visiting.

Mt Rainier is absolutely gorgeous! It is a must visit on my list! The hiking trails by the visitor center are stunning. The drive up is also beautiful with waterfalls along it. It felt so magical being up in the clouds! I went in July and there was still snow on the trails but it made the hike more fun!

Breathtaking park. We went in the middle of October and the weather was perfect. Some of the roads were already closed, as well as some of the ranger stations. Overall a very good park.

I will be back when the snow melts. We went peak snow days when the snow was up all the way up to their second floor of the visitor center and all the roads after that were closed. But it was absolutely amazing. Coming from Georgia where it barely snows and even if it were to, they either don't stack or doesn't last longer than a day, it was so refreshing to see so much snow and the mountains themselves were beautiful. There are native birds there too that will fly up really close to you. It was such a great experience. Also, make sure you have snow chains ready because they will check at the gate during snow seasons.

Wow this park was incredible. Views are amazing-even from the road! There were so many different hikes (our favorite was skyline trail at paradise) and you could even find hikes that were family friendly. Make sure to add this park to your bucket list. Be aware, there’s no gas stations in the park but they do have some just outside so plan accordingly.

Mount Rainier can be seen from quite a bit of a distance. It is BEAUTIFUL! However, the park was quite disappointing. There weren’t a lot of trails that were accessible to young kids. You really have to drive and stop to see the views. If you’re a hiker, this is definitely for you. I’m more of a beginner so I was not able to get to all of the waterfalls. Plus I had a little one with me so I couldn’t go on those advance trails. Towards the top, there was still heavy snow so I couldn’t walk on the snow, it was very slippery as there was still ice under all those snow. And this is in June. Overall, it’s still a beautiful site.

I don’t know if words do this place justice. Just breathtaking. I visited sunrise, paradise, ohanapecosh, and carbon river. My favorite campsite was at ohanapecosh. My favorite trail was pinnacle peak. My favorite pie at paradise lodge was the triple berry. I could write a book about this place! Some helpful tips: I charged my phone and rechargeable batteries at paradise lodge. There are NO showers within the park so plan accordingly. Visit reflection lake either at sunrise or sunset. If you are going to paradise get there early! Pack in, pack out, and stay on trail. Consider getting an America the Beautiful pass if you are staying a long time.

We went to the National Park during Memorial Day Long Weekend. Since the park has lot of snow still, we did not get chance to explore much. We went to few viewpoints only. The drive was still beautiful and the viewpoints were amazing. I would recommend to visit the part around end of June so that snow melts and you have more things to do.

Amazing National Park. Came here during the end of May and there was still a lot of snow. There was still plenty to see and do. I was able to hike a bit to get a better view of the summit. There are some really great waterfalls that aren’t far from the road. I will definitely need to come back when most of the snow has melted.

This was a wonderful destination. We were visiting in August. The trails were very dry. There is a steady stream of cars everywhere we went. It did not deter from the attractions or the beauty. Overall, this is somewhere I would visit again. The trails were family friendly for people ranging in our group from 8 to 66 years old. If you have a fourth grader, you can register for free online for the national park pass. This pass will waive your admission entrance fee.

Too good. The peak. The Range. The paradise points. Waterfalls in between. The drive through across the mountains. Nature at it’s best. Loved mount Rainier.

I absolutely love this park. It's beautiful. In places it's storybook. I also found the staff and park Rangers to be cool, but the natural beauty is why you go. Hiking Skyline Trail is bucket list level awesome IMO. Even the drive in to the Paradise area is epic.

Beautiful colors in fall! I absolutely enjoyed the hike to the fall which is shorter hike. Hiking sticks and good shoes are must. If you have weak knees, consider putting knee braces for extra support.

Great trip visiting Crystal Mt and the riding on the Gondola. Visited Sunrise and Paradise as well. Enjoyed the hiking trails as well. Some of the trails were strenuous so read up ahead of time. Keep a close watch on children on these trails. There are no guardrails to keep them from falling off and some of the areas are narrow and highly elevated. We are experienced at hiking and in our 50s and experienced some slips and near falls ourselves. We hiked 10 miles, 12 miles and 14 miles during 3 days there.

Awesome visit with lots of great views. We hiked the silver falls loop and it was easy for our kids as well (ages 5 and 8). Warning that parking can be tough in some areas and you may need to park at main roads and walk in a little for certain areas.

One of my favorite National Parks!!! We hiked for about 5 hours and had the chance to see the most amazing views. Visited in September & it was cold. Better to carry hydration and food if you plan on hiking.
